Gdańsk Comfort Apartaments Old Town Minogi Overview

When I first walked up to Gdańsk Comfort Apartaments Old Town Minogi, the little brick façade felt like it belonged to the 19th‑century streetscape of Gdańsk—almost like a secret tucked behind a row of cafés. The check‑in was a breeze; the front desk staff handed us a key card after a quick chat and a map that actually highlighted the best spots to grab a pierogi on the corner of Minogi Street (yes, that’s the street the hotel’s name comes from). The building itself is only two stories high, so there’s no elevator, but the stairs are wide, and the elevator in the lobby is a solid piece of 2000‑s style—no humming.

The apartment itself was a cozy 1‑bedroom unit, the kind of space that feels like a home away from home. The bed was a king‑size with thick, breathable linens—so you can sleep through the city’s late‑night jazz from the Stary port without any noise complaints. The living area has a small but functional kitchenette; I used it to make instant ramen one evening after a long day of sightseeing. The kitchen has a kettle, a mini‑fridge, and a small dining table that seats two, perfect for a quick bite and a glass of local craft beer from the Gdańsk Beer Garden right next door.

I love how the apartment’s windows open onto a quiet side street—no sirens, no traffic, just the occasional street musician playing a trumpet. The walls are painted in muted earth tones, and there’s a subtle scent of fresh-cut grass from the courtyard garden that the hotel has maintained. It’s not a huge garden, but it’s a little green patch that makes the place feel less like a hotel and more like a private apartment. The Wi‑Fi is spot on; I was streaming a Polish film without buffering, which is always a relief. The only thing I found a bit of a hassle was the parking situation. There’s a small parking lot behind the hotel, but during the summer months it fills up fast—so if you’re traveling with a car, you might want to look into street parking or a nearby paid facility.

Walking out of the building, the street is lined with a mix of cafés, a bakery that serves freshly baked rye bread, and the historic St. Mary’s Church with its towering spire that’s a landmark for any Gdańsk visitor. The area feels authentic—no high‑rise office towers, just cobblestones, wooden balconies, and locals chatting over coffee. If you’re looking for a place to stay that’s close to the old town, this spot’s right on Minogi Street, just a block from the Władysław II Jagiełło Square. You’ll find it easy to stroll to the Gdańsk Crane and the European Solidarity Centre—both just a short walk away.

Honestly, the only downside I noticed was the noise level during the Christmas season. The hotel’s proximity to the main square means that the street lights and holiday crowds spill over into the living area by midnight. It’s not a huge disturbance, but if you’re a light sleeper, you might want to bring earplugs. Other than that, the apartment’s layout is practical, the staff is friendly, and the location feels genuinely integrated into the city’s fabric. I left feeling like I had a little slice of Gdańsk in my pocket, and I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience the city without the buzz of a typical tourist hotel.

Reviews of Gdańsk Comfort Apartaments Old Town Minogi

  • Bartosz from Poland – 17 February 2025 (8/10)

Very good location. Old building but refurbished inside apartment.

What could be improved: This old building is not for families with small 1-3 year old children due to the fact that there is no elevator and no storage place for trolley.

  • Rūta from Latvia – 17 December 2024 (9/10)

Laba lokācija. Izcila saziņa ar saimnieku. Dzīvoklī viss nepieciešamais. Silti un ērti.

What could be improved: Mazais apakšējais žurnālgaldiņš bija netīŗs no iepriekšējiem viesiem, bet tas tāds maz sīkums.

  • Jeremie from France – 6 August 2024 (9/10)

Appartement bien équipé (il y a même un lave linge), propre et bien situé. Parfait pour explorer la ville.

  • Veronika from Germany – 7 March 2024 (9/10)

Die Wohnung ist sehr gut geschnittene, sauber, alles da. Die Lage ist super

What could be improved: Man musste Schlüssel wo anders erstmal abholen

  • Weronika from Poland – 18 December 2023 (8/10)

Świetna lokalizacja, dostęp do garażu w niedalekiej odległości

What could be improved: Brak zastrzeżeń

  • Maryna from Ukraine – 27 November 2023 (8/10)

The localization. Tiny, neat and pleasant appartment.

What could be improved: You should be aware that to get and to return the keys you will have to walk about 800 meters to the office. It is not very convenient with luggage and children.

  • Christine from United Kingdom – 3 October 2023 (8/10)

    Location very good, comfortable accommodation

What could be improved: With the hot weather, air conditioning would have been nice. Entrance to the building was a little dark and unkempt especially arriving in the dark..

  • Marta from Poland – 10 August 2023 (9/10)

Duże pięknie umeblowane mieszkanie z pełnym wyposażeniem oraz super lokalizacja

  • Jo from Austria – 10 July 2023 (8/10)

Die Lage war sehr gut in der Nähe der Sehenswürdigkeiten. Die Wohnung war sauber und gut ausgestattet. Die Betten waren bequem.

What could be improved: Das Abholen und Zurückgeben der Schlüssel gefiel mir nicht.

  • Zalachowski from United States – 23 July 2022 (3/10)

The property is located in the city center in a glory location. The place is spacious and comfortable.

What could be improved: The management company that takes care of the property has very poor communication. It took almost two days for someone to respond. Our stove stopped working the second day we were there, and no one responds or took care of it. We were not able to use the cook top for four days. Also, had to buy your own toilet paper and trash bags as the place came with only two for 5 days.
