Wild Island Suite Overview
Wild Island Suite sits tucked on 21a Bursztynowa, a quiet side street that feels like a secret within Gdańsk’s bustling Old Town. When I first walked up the narrow cobblestone path, the smell of fresh sea air mixed with the faint scent of roasted chestnuts from a nearby bakery—classic Gdańsk, right? The front desk was surprisingly spacious, not the cramped, tiled thing you might expect a 4‑star place to have. The staff greeted me with that warm, almost-too-quick Polish “Dzień dobry,” and the check‑in was smooth—no long line, no confusing paperwork, just a friendly hand and a quick scan of my ID. The lobby had this old‑world charm: a wooden table that looked like it’d been in the city since the 19th century, a few local postcards, and a subtle scent of amber that made you feel like you were stepping into a storybook.
I checked into the room that night, and honestly, the first thing I noticed was the light—soft, golden sunrise that filtered through the sheer curtains, making the floorboards look like they were made of honey. The bed? It was the kind of mattress that knows how to hug you after a long day of walking. The sheets were crisp, the pillows had that perfect balance of fluff and support, and there was a little card that said “Welcome to Wild Island Suite” with a handwritten note recommending the best pier for sunset drinks. The bathroom was a mini‑spa: the shower had a rain‑style head, the tiles were matte and cool to the touch, and the toiletries—organic, scented with citrus—were a real treat. I did notice that the window faced the street, so if you’re a light sleeper, the sound of a car honking at rush hour can be a bit intrusive—though the double‑pane glass does a decent job of muffling it. I found myself thinking, “I could stay here forever,” especially when the city lights flickered across the water.
The real fun comes when you step outside. From the balcony, you get a 360‑degree view of the old harbor—the silhouette of the Gdańsk Shipyard in the distance, the little wooden fishing boats bobbing, and the way the light changes from golden to pink as the day slips into evening. If you’re into food, there’s a tiny trattoria on Długa Street, just a block away, where the sea bass is cooked to perfection flaky, buttery, with a lemon‑butter sauce that makes you sigh. For a quick bite, I popped into a local coffee shop on Młynowa, where the baristas know your name and the espresso has that deep, almost chocolatey aroma. The parking is a bit of a joke: there’s a shared garage right across from the hotel, but it’s a maze of spots and you’ll need to be patient. I parked in the second row, and it took me a full minute to find a spot that didn’t require a minute of maneuvering. But once you’re in, you’re good for the whole night, and the metal parking sign is a quirky little piece of public art that says “Parking – 5 PLN per hour.”
Last, but not least, the timing is everything. If you’re visiting during late spring or early autumn, the city is at its busiest—perfect for strolling the cobblestones, but the streets can get pretty noisy. I stayed there in August, and it was a mix: the night markets were bustling, but the hotel’s interior was calm, a refuge from the city’s buzz. In winter, the whole area gets a hushed, almost magical vibe, with the harbor lights reflecting off the water and the occasional gull cry echoing in the distance. So, whether you’re a foodie, a history buff, or just looking for a place to unwind, Wild Island Suite offers a slice of Gdańsk that feels both local and luxurious, but never pretentious. It’s the kind of spot you’ll tell your friends about over a glass of wine, saying, “You have to see this place—you’ll feel like you’re part of the city’s heartbeat.”

Vynikajúca poloha, blízko pri pláži ale zároveň príjemné tiché miesto, 2 min od zastávky elekt. Keď chcete ísť do mesta.
What could be improved: Chýbal tam jeden väčší hrniec, napr. na špagety keď chcete uvariť pre 4 dospelých, boli tam len 3 malé hrnce najväčší mal 3 l. Inak ostané vybavenie bolo fajn, bolo tam všetko čo by ste mohli potrebovať na dovolenke.Asia from Poland – 16 September 2024 (9/10)
Bardzo dobra lokalizacja. Dużym plusem jest miejsce w garażu podziemnym. Mieszkanie wyposażone we wszystko co potrzeba. Łóżka bardzo wygodne. Mieszkanie przestronne.
What could be improved: Obiekt miał problem z pobraniem płatność. Iwona from Poland – 11 September 2024 (10/10)

Obiekt ładny i nowoczesny na terenie strzeżonym, dobra lokalizacja, blisko Ergo Areny i morza
What could be improved: Nie działająca roleta na oknie (musiałam ją sama prowizorycznie naprawiać, aby móc wieczorem zasłonić okno przy moim łóżku), telewizor pomimo interwencji Wynajmującego przez cały mój kilkudniowy pobyt był niesprawny, brak żarówki w lampie i ciemne oświetlenie w pokojach, trudna kontrola czasu bo zegar na ścianie w salonie nie chodził, przy wyrzucaniu śmieci trzeba uważa, aby nie zatrzasnąć się na kilka godzin w śmietniku bo klucz do drzwi wyjściowych od śmietnika i domofon do portiera z tego miejsca nie działa. Podłokietnik kanapy w salonie nieestetycznie obdarty z materiału co zdecydowanie obniżyło estetykę i jakość pobytu w lokalu.Natalia from Poland – 27 August 2023 (8/10)
What could be improved: Mieszkanie niestety brudne, pełno kurzu ,pościel czysta ale kołdry i poduszki powinny dawno być wymienione ,zwyczajnie są nieświeże,przepocone .
W szafie jak i w szafkach kuchennych brudno.podlogi brudne.
Wlasciciel ewidentnie powinien zmienić serwis sprzątający bo mieszkanie ogólnie spoko ale brud straszny.Jean from Belgium – 12 July 2023 (10/10)
Christian from Germany – 3 August 2022 (9/10)
Hochwertig und schön, strandnah
Zbigniew from Poland – 24 July 2022 (8/10)

What could be improved: Mieszkanie na podddaszu- gorąco w mieszkaniu. Brak klimatyzacjiRenatas from Lithuania – 29 June 2022 (9/10)
Vieta, ramu, arti jūra. Patogus privažiavimas, požeminis parkingas. Butas švarus, gražiai įrengtas. Šeimininkai greitai sureagavo į pastabas.
