Villa Ramzes Overview

Villa Ramzes sits on ul. Dworska 4a, a quiet stretch that feels like a secret corner of Brzezno. When I first walked up the cobblestones, the smell of fresh bread from the bakery on the next block made me smile—local, not touristy. The building itself is a classic 4‑star façade with a little green balcony that overlooks the river, so you get that calm, almost zen vibe right from the first step in. I mean, you can hear the gentle lapping of the water and the distant hum of the city, but it’s not noisy—just the right background buzz.

The lobby feels like a cozy living room more than a hotel lobby. The staff greets you with that genuine Polish warmth—“Witamy” and a quick, friendly “Jak mogę pomóc?” The check‑in is quick, but they still take the time to show you the map of the area, pointing out where the best pierogi spot is, just a block away. Parking is free right outside; you can park a car or a bike with no hassle, and there’s a small, quiet lot that doesn’t feel like a maze. Honestly, I was surprised how easy it was to get a spot even during the peak summer season.

Rooms are spacious, with a mix of modern and rustic touches that echo the local style. The beds are super comfy—think high‑quality sheets and a mattress that feels like a cloud, but with a firm edge that keeps you from rolling over. The bathrooms are bright and airy, with a little stone tile that gives a hint of Gdańsk’s maritime history. The view from the balcony? Picture the sun setting over the river, painting the sky in orange and pink—perfect for a quiet coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at night. The noise level is low, even in the evenings, which is a big plus if you’re looking to unwind.

One thing that really stands out is the kitchen. The hotel offers a breakfast buffet that’s not just a generic spread. Think homemade Polish pastries, a selection of cheeses from the region, and fresh fruit that looks like it’s been picked that very morning. If you’re a foodie, the on‑site restaurant serves a few local dishes—pierogi, bigos, and a hearty soup that warms you up after a day of exploring. The staff is friendly enough to recommend which dish pairs best with a local craft beer from the nearby brewery on ul. Kępa. You’ll also find a small, well‑cared garden where the scent of lavender and rosemary lingers in the air—an unexpected touch that feels like a secret garden tucked away from the city’s hustle.

The location is a sweet spot for both culture lovers and beachgoers. You’re close enough to the old town to wander its cobblestone streets, yet the hotel’s proximity to the coast means you can hop on a ferry to the beaches of Stogi or the sandy stretches of Sopot. If you’re traveling with kids, the hotel’s free Wi‑Fi and the quiet patio are a lifesaver, and the staff will happily arrange a pick‑up for a nearby playground. The only minor critique? The Wi‑Fi speed can be a tad slow during the peak summer nights, but for most travelers that’s a small trade‑off for the overall vibe.

Overall, Villa Ramzes feels like a home away from home, with that perfect mix of comfort, local flavor, and easy access to everything Gdańsk has to offer. If you want to experience the city like a local, without the tourist crowds, this is the place to stay. And trust me, you’ll leave with stories about the best pierogi, the quiet river view, and that unforgettable sense of “I’m exactly where I belong.”

Best hotels in Gdansk range from charming boutique properties in the historic Main Town to elegant waterfront hotels with stunning views of the Motława River and Gothic architecture.

Reviews of Villa Ramzes

This property is very close to the beach – easy walking distance. The room was more than sufficient – I was happy that it had a small refrigerator. Bathroom was good and the room was clean. The hotel is very close to the tram line (#3, Mazurska stop), which will take you downtown. Note that when returning on this line, the hotel advised that it is wise to get off at a different stop on the return trip ( I got off at Sternizca) because it takes an extra 15 minutes to return to Mazurska stop. Breakfast was very good. Free parking was adequate and off the street.

What could be improved: No elevator – but I only had to go up one floor.
    Other than that, no complaints.

A cozy little hotel with a good breakfast. It's some 200 m from a great beach so if you're staying during the summer season, take a dip. Neighbour restaurants are also good ones.

  • Kenia from Poland – 3 August 2024 (8/10)

Very close to the beach, restaurants and shops. The breakfast was good enough, place was quiet. Decent, comfortable bedroom The staff was very nice and could speak some English.

What could be improved: The bathroom. Everything was working, but it needs to be updated / refurbished. Needs attention. The fridge was noisy, so I had to disconnect it.

Near the beach. Large room. Tasty breakfast. Nice staff.

  • Marie from Germany – 15 April 2023 (9/10)

The room was spacious and comfortable, with sofa, table and chairs. It is directly next to a tram station. It has a quite surrounding, and would be perfect choice to stay if you want to spend time at Brzezno Beach, around 200 m away.

What could be improved: The internet connection hardly reached my room, and it wasnt possible to switch room.
