The place is tucked into the old quarter, right on 11 Targ Rybny, so you’re literally blurring the line between a bustling fish market and the calm river that runs right by it. The first thing that caught my eye was that little balcony—there’s a view of the river that you can’t miss, and the sound of boats drifting past is almost a lullaby, especially if you’re not a fan of the louder traffic that comes in the evenings down to the city center.

When you check in, you’re greeted by a friendly staff member who talks about local food spots like “Pierogarnia Gdańsk” and how to catch the best morning fish at the market. The front desk is pretty efficient, but if you’re arriving during the summer rush, expect a few minutes of a “hurry, hurry” vibe—no big deal, but something to keep in mind if you’re a slow sleeper. The room itself is a 4‑star slice of comfort: a king‑size bed that feels like a cloud, a walk‑in shower with that crisp, cold water you get in northern Europe (you know what I mean?), and a surprisingly quiet interior even though the building is on a busy street. The only noise that gets through is the gentle hum of the river and the occasional shout from a vendor selling smoked herring. The décor is modern but not sterile—a mix of local art pieces that bring a bit of Gdańsk’s maritime soul right into the room. Parking is a bit of a mixed bag. There’s a small, meter‑only lot right behind the building that fills up quickly on weekends, but there’s also a municipal parking garage a block over on Świętego Marcina Street that’s a few minutes away on foot. If you’re staying during the peak season, you might want to bring a car back to the city center and just use the public parking. The hotel’s kitchenette is a real bonus—there’s a fridge, a mini‑oven, and a counter that’s big enough to fold out a pizza for a quick midnight snack. I ended up making a bagel with smoked salmon the night before a walk to the Old Town, and it was the perfect prep for a walking tour that started at St. Mary’s Cathedral and ended at the waterfront where you can see the sun set over the Baltic Sea. The only critique I have is that the bathroom tiles feel a little slick when you step out of the shower, so maybe keep a towel handy if you’re an old‑fashioned traveler who loves a dry step right after a shower.

  Cudowny widok, lokalizacja nie mogła być lepsza. Czysto i minimalistycznie.
  W apartamencie zapewniono kawę i herbatę.
  
  What could be improved: Brak koszy na śmieci w łazienkach.

  Eine wundervolle Unterkunft in einer absolut perfekten Lage direkt an der Mottlau mit Aussicht auf das Schild „Gdansk“.
  Sehr komfortabel eingerichtet. Der Beamer im Schlafzimmer am Fenster ist ein tolles Plus.
  Es ist alles vorhanden was benötigt wird.
  Die Kommunikation war sehr gut und es wurden immer schnell Antworten geschickt.
  Leider war ab abends kein warmes Wasser mehr vorhanden weder in der Dusche noch in den Waschbecken oder der Küche.
  Was man unbedingt wissen muss ist, dass es auf Grund der Lautstärke am Abend sehr laut werden kann. Besonders am Wochenende.
  Trotz dieser Punkte ist die Unterkunft absolut zu empfehlen!

  the shower was in the master bedroom, would have been better if it was outside

  This property is beautiful. The view is incredible and the apartment itself is large with everything you could need for a few days. Location was great. It was a 10 minute walk to the Christmas market. Surrounded by restaurants and great places to eat/drink.
  Can’t wait to stay here again next Christmas! Amazing!
  
  What could be improved: The balcony door is slightly broken when opening and closing but we traveled in winter so keep the them closed while we were there. Don’t let this put you off though, it is well worth the stay!
