Stunning Apartment with Balcony Overview

Stunning Apartment with Balcony was tucked into a quiet corner of Lawendowa 5, just a stone’s throw from the buzzing heart of Gdańsk. I remember the first time I walked up that narrow staircase – the smell of fresh bread from the bakery on Św. Mikołaja Street already drifting in, a hint of sea salt from the nearby Motława River. The front door was a simple wooden panel, but the little brass plaque with the name made it feel instantly special. The reception desk was a single, warm-faced woman who greeted me with a friendly “welcome” and handed me a key card that glowed a faint green. I was handed a small brochure that listed the nearest tram stop, and honestly, the whole check‑in was so smooth you’d think it was a luxury hotel – which it’s not, but the service is top‑notch.

Inside, the apartment felt like a cozy slice of home. The living area was bright, with a sofa that was soft enough to sink into after a day of wandering. I found the kitchen surprisingly well‑equipped – a small fridge, a single burner, a kettle that boiled in seconds, and a set of pots that made cooking a local Polish dish feel like a breeze. The balcony was the real gem – a narrow, sun‑lit space with a tiny table and two chairs, perfect for sipping coffee in the morning while watching the city wake up. The view? Not a postcard, but it offered a real, unfiltered look at the street below – a mix of cobblestones and modern cafés, people hurrying to the harbor, the occasional gull overhead. The noise level was decent; you could hear the tram rattling a few minutes away, but the apartment’s thick windows kept it from turning into a full‑on soundtrack. The bed was a generous queen with linens that felt like a hug; I fell asleep within minutes, dreaming of the sea.

The real charm, though, was the neighborhood. Lawendowa 5 is just a block from the Old Town, so you can stroll to the Royal Castle, the St. Mary’s Church, and the bustling Main Market Square in under ten minutes. I spent an afternoon at the nearby “Café Przystań,” a local spot that serves the best pierogi in town – the dumplings were filled with mushroom and cheese, and the broth was silky. For a quiet evening, the “Bunkier 2000” art gallery on Gdańsk’s waterfront was a hidden gem, offering contemporary exhibitions that are rarely on the tourist radar. Parking is a bit of a hassle; there’s a small paid lot on the corner of Złota Street, but if you’re okay with a short walk, you can avoid the parking fee entirely. I also noted that the apartment’s air conditioning is a bit weak in July, so if you’re traveling during the peak summer, you might want to bring a small fan. On the flip side, the winter nights are crisp and the heating does a great job, making the apartment feel snug and cozy. All in all, Stunning Apartment with Balcony feels like a home away from home, with a touch of local flavor that you just can’t get from a chain hotel. If you’re heading to Gdańsk, this place will make your trip feel a little more personal and a lot more relaxed.

Travelers should reserve a hotel in Gdansk at least two months ahead for major events like St. Dominic’s Fair, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near historic attractions.

Reviews of Stunning Apartment with Balcony

  • Mandy from United Kingdom – 16 May 2025 (6/10)

    Nice bright apartment. Spacious.

What could be improved: The second double was in the dining area. It wasn’t made up when we arrived. The first double was very spongy and uncomfortable. There are 70 steps to go up to reach the apartment, this should be made clear in the listing.

  • Rūta from Lithuania – 29 April 2025 (9/10)

The location, airy apartments, place to park a car, friendly host.

  • Olszowska from Poland – 21 March 2025 (9/10)

Cały apartament bardzo ładnie urządzony wygodny przestronny
Bardzo dobrze się nam z niego korzystało ☺️

What could be improved: Brak kontaktu z właścicielem przez fakt że mieszka za granicą 😟

  • Ewa from Poland – 8 March 2025 (9/10)

Apartament piekny, wygodny, przestronny . Materac w sypialni bardzo wygodny, miękka pościel. Spało się super. Dużo miejsca w salonie, duży stół, można zjeść rodzinne sniadanie 🙂 Duża super kuchnia. Wszystko co potrzeba jest. Cieplutko 🙂

What could be improved: Klatka rzeczywiście straszna 🙂 Niektóre rzeczy w apartamencie widać że sie starzeją ale w niczym to nie przeszkadza. Sporo kurzu za łóżkami i pod. Cieknący junkers w kuchni, ale ciepła woda jest nic się nie dzieje. Zepsuta klapa od śmietnika.

  • Daniela from Poland – 2 February 2025 (9/10)

Piękny apartament w samym sercu Gdańska , widok z balkonu cudny. Idealne miejsce na wyjazd z rodziną , czysto , miły gospodarz , sympatyczni sąsiedzi ! super kontakt z właścicielem – miły i pomocny . Polecam!!!

  • Marta from Poland – 29 January 2025 (9/10)

Bardzo ładne mieszkanko, świetnie wyposażone w super lokalizacji. Mieszkanie duże, przestronne i małym przytulnym balkonikiem.

What could be improved: Zdecydowanie na minus brak telewizji ( pomimo dwóch dużych telewizorów )
W nocy i rano brak ogrzewania. 19 stopni w najcieplejszym pokoju. Po wizycie napisałam o tym właścicielowi i odpisał mi, że mogłam napisać wcześniej, bo to kwestia ustawienia termostatu. Czy tak jest faktycznie to nie wiem.

  • Mark from United Kingdom – 30 December 2024 (9/10)

Lovely apartment set right in the heart of Gdańsk with everything within walking distance
Door code entry was very easy and no problems
    Xmas markets were very good
Apartment was very nicely furnished with very nice kitchen

What could be improved: Upon entry the main stairwell leading to the apartments leave a lot to be desired but just ignore that as the apartment is great
It’s listed as a 2 bedroom apartment and although they are separate you have to walk through one bedroom to get to the other which was fine for us but others may not like the set up.
Otherwise great accommodation and would def stay here again

  • Rehema from United Kingdom – 23 August 2024 (7/10)

The apartment in on the fourth floor of the building and can be accessed by stairs – there's no lift in the building. The stairwell of the building is worn, reflecting the overall history and age of the apartment building. There's a motion sensor light that illuminates the stairwell. The apartment is modern with high ceiling, it's is clean and well decorated with a comfy sofa, double bed and daybed. The bathroom is compact with washing machine, toilet and shower with clean towels in the cupboard. There's a balcony which can accommodate 2 adults sitting and has nice views across the market square. The apartment is in the centre of Gdansk with easy access to shops, bars and restaurants which are typically 5 or 10-minute walk.
