Staywin Apartments Chmielna Park Overview
Staywin Apartments Chmielna Park sits right on Chmielna, one of those narrow cobbled streets that seem to stretch forever toward the Old Town. The building’s facade is a tasteful mix of brick and glass that feels almost like a modern postcard of Gdańsk. When I first stepped through the revolving doors, I was hit by that unmistakable Gdańsk smell – a blend of sea salt, freshly baked pierogi from the stall on Motława, and a faint hint of roasted coffee that the nearby café pours into every cup. The 4‑star rating of 8.6 is no exaggeration; the room I stayed in was spacious, with a balcony that looked out over the canal and the old city’s rooftops. I could hear the distant bells of St. Mary’s Church chiming, a comforting reminder that I was in the heart of a city that never seems to sleep.
The check‑in was surprisingly smooth. The front desk staff greeted me with a friendly “Dzień dobry!” and handed me a keycard that worked on multiple floors – handy if you’re planning a quick hop to the top for sunrise. They also gave me a map of the neighborhood, pointing out the best spots to grab a coffee – the one with the croissants that are almost as good as the ones you’d find back in Warsaw – and a discreet note about the nearest paid parking lot, just a block down on 70 Krakowska. Parking on the street is free, but you’re looking at a long walk to the hotel if you’re carrying luggage, so that paid spot is a lifesaver. I found the noise level to be a mixed bag: the street itself is lively, especially on weekends when the street musicians set up near the old harbor, but the building’s walls are solid, and the only real disturbance is the occasional honk from a passing truck. If you’re a light sleeper, I’d suggest an extra set of earplugs, but honestly, the city’s hum is part of its charm.
When I’m not exploring the city, I love spending time on the balcony with a cup of tea while watching the sunset over the Motława River. The breeze carries a faint scent of the water, and you can almost hear the distant tugboats. The apartment’s kitchenette is surprisingly well-equipped – a small fridge, a kettle, and a set of basic utensils that make it easy to toss together a quick breakfast before heading out. I didn’t find any hidden fees, which is a relief after a few other places that sneak in charges for Wi‑Fi or a minibar. Speaking of Wi‑Fi, the signal is decent but can drop if you’re on the top floor; a quick move to the middle floor solves it.
If you’re planning a visit in late spring or early fall, you’ll find the city bustling but not overcrowded. The market on Złota Street is a must‑visit for fresh produce, and the pier behind the hotel offers a quiet spot to watch the gulls. During the peak summer months, the Old Town can get a bit noisy, but the vibe is electric, and you’ll feel the energy in every corner. I’d recommend taking a tram to the Gdańsk Shipyard for a deeper dive into the city’s maritime history – the museum’s exhibits are engaging, and the views from the dock are spectacular. For a night out, head to the bars on Gdańska Street; the one near the university has live jazz on Fridays, and the drinks are reasonably priced.
All in all, Staywin Apartments Chmielna Park feels like a home base that lets you soak in the real Gdańsk. Whether you’re a solo traveler looking to explore or a couple wanting a cozy spot to return to, the apartment offers a blend of comfort and authenticity that’s hard to find elsewhere. I left with a few souvenirs – a jar of local honey and a hand‑stitched scarf – and a promise to come back for another stay. The city’s charm, coupled with the thoughtful touches of the hotel, makes it a solid pick for anyone wanting to experience Gdańsk beyond the usual tourist trail.
Gdansk’s hotels showcase the perfect blend of Hanseatic tradition and modern comfort, with many featuring maritime tour services and authentic Polish coastal hospitality.

Very clean place and a comfortable stay. The apartment includes a kitchen and refrigerator if you choose to make your own food. There is a Zabka right below the building. Lots of outlets for charging.
What could be improved: Initially, finding the unit is a bit confusingPrasenajith from Poland – 5 November 2024 (9/10)
The key collection procedure is very convenient. The reception is very supportive.Large apartment and very clean. A well made property and easy access to old town, main station etc. Access to public transport at short walking distance. Lots of eating places near by and as well as mini supermarkets, hair dressers, ATM etc. Very comfortable bed, everything is clean and feels fresh. All the equipment are good quality and working well. Quiet neighborhood. Very secured place-security guard in the building and monitoring everywhere.

I think it’s worth the cost! The property and the facility was good!
What could be improved: Since it’s not completely a hotel, they don’t offer cleaning services.Alan from Australia – 12 August 2024 (9/10)
The high rise unit block is located within easy walking distance to Gdańsk old city . The room had everything needed for a short stay in Gdańsk and the self checkin process after receiving an email was easy as we arrived after office hours
What could be improved: all good and no complaintsJørgen from Norway – 3 June 2024 (9/10)
Nice, modern apartment! A few restaurants are around the corner and obviously Zabkas too.
What could be improved: There was no shampoo, lol! The location is good if you want to be close to the center, but if you want to go around a bit or to the beach, you need to take quite a long drive.Nadine from Germany – 6 May 2024 (8/10)
The apartment was amazing. The location was excellent with 7 min walk from the old town and the neighbourhood was peaceful + safe. I liked the view from the balcony, the kitchen space and the bathroom too 🙂 Overall, I had a pleasant stay and felt super comfortable in such a modern, well-equipped apartment. Most things in terms of appliances and supplies were enough for me as a single person. The staff communicated in English via WhatsApp and the apartment was easy to access as instructions were clear. The office is 5m away from the apartment building so it was convenient to go from collecting the key to entering the apartment.
What could be improved: While the overall apartment was clean, the sofa bed definitely needed a vacuum. I only used it as a sofa, but there was some hair and crumbs from previous guests, I assume. It wasn't that big of a deal for me as I cleaned it myself, but maybe they should pay attention to this for the next guests.
The other point is that I had a 10-night stay and was running out of toilet paper. I contacted the staff via WhatsApp and we agreed that someone would bring some more rolls into the apartment when I was not there. Unfortunately, I didn't receive the rolls and went out to buy my own. Hopefully this can be solved in a better way in the future.Phillip from United Kingdom – 15 April 2024 (9/10)

Location is very convenient in case of public transport and walking distance to the city centre is not so long. Electronic door locking is so suitable for those person who arrives in late hours. What could be improved: Soundproofing is poor. Some of guests had a party time very loudly, so it was hard to fall asleepAleksandar from Serbia – 2 October 2023 (8/10)
