Seaside Loft 16 Overview

Seaside Loft 16 sits on Obrońców Wybrzeża 25A, right on the edge of Gdańsk’s historic waterfront. Honestly, the first thing that struck me was the view of the Motława River—there’s this gentle hum of boats, a faint salty breeze, and the old town’s rooftops peeking over the horizon. I remember walking down the cobblestone streets of Motława just a block away, spotting the old warehouses turned cafés, and thinking, “This place is going to feel like a secret.” And it does. The lobby feels like a cozy loft loft—pun intended—filled with reclaimed wood, exposed brick, and a large mural of the city’s skyline at dusk. The staff at the front desk were super friendly, and the check‑in process was almost instant; they had a digital kiosk that let you skip the line, which is a real win during the summer rush when everyone’s rushing to the beach.

The rooms are the real highlight. Each one feels like a private studio with a balcony that faces the river. I stayed in one of the two‑bedroom suites and, wow, the floor-to-ceiling windows make you feel like you’re floating above the city. The bed is a generous king‑size with memory‑foam sheets that feel like a hug after a long day of exploring. The bathroom is a sleek, minimalist design with a rain shower—so refreshing after a day in the sun. One thing I noticed is that the noise from the street is almost non‑existent; the building’s thick walls and double‑glazed windows keep the traffic chatter out, so you can sleep through the night without a single honk. The Wi‑Fi is fast, which is a nice touch, and there’s a small kitchenette in the room with a coffee machine and a selection of teas—perfect for late‑night espresso runs.

Parking is a bit of a hassle, but honestly, you can park on the street for a few euros a day if you’re okay with a bit of a walk; there’s also a small paid lot a block away that’s free after 6 p.m. During the peak season, the street can be a bit crowded, but locals usually park in the older residential blocks and walk to the hotel. The staff gave me a map of the nearest parking spots, which was super helpful. As for the neighborhood, it’s a mix of old charm and modern buzz. I found a little pier just a few minutes away where I could catch the sunset over the river—there’s a small café with a wooden deck, and the scent of fresh pierogi drifting from a nearby stall always made the experience even better. If you’re in Gdańsk, make sure to take the tram line 2 to get to the old town, but I’d also suggest a quick walk down the street to see the old merchant houses; they’re a real treat for history buffs.

The only real critique I have is the breakfast spread. It’s decent—think pastries, fresh fruit, and a decent selection of cheeses—but it’s not as robust as I’d like. You can skip it if you prefer to grab something local in the morning; there’s a bakery on the corner of Główny that serves the best cinnamon rolls. Aside from that, the hotel’s 4‑star rating and 9.5 overall score are well deserved. I left feeling refreshed, with a clear view of the city from my balcony, and an authentic taste of Gdańsk’s maritime vibe. If you’re looking for a place that feels like a home away from home yet still offers a dash of luxury, Seaside Loft 16 is definitely worth a stay.

Reviews of Seaside Loft 16

  • Natalia from Poland – 4 June 2025 (9/10)

Apartament z przepięknym widokiem na Zatokę. Do dyspozycji ładna zastawa stołowa.

What could be improved: Zbyt niskie ciśnienie wody w łazience i problem z regulacją temperatury.
