Scala 60G City Center Premium Apartments by Lion Apartments Overview
Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of apartments in Gdańsk over the years, and honestly? The Scala 60G just gets it right in ways that surprised me. You know those places where everything works exactly like it should, but you’re not paying resort prices? That’s what you’re getting here.
The location on Łąkowa is actually brilliant – and I mean that in the most practical sense. You’re tucked into this quiet residential pocket that feels properly Polish (none of that tourist bubble nonsense), but walk ten minutes and you’re hitting the main drag toward the Old Town. The tram stop is literally around the corner, which saved my legs more times than I can count. What really sold me though was discovering that little 24-hour Żabka convenience store just down the street – trust me, when you’re jet-lagged and craving snacks at midnight, you’ll thank me for mentioning it. The apartments themselves feel like someone actually lives there, if that makes sense. The kitchen isn’t just for show – proper cookware, full-sized fridge, even decent knives. I ended up cooking way more than planned because, well, the Hala Targowa market is close enough for morning grocery runs, and honestly the produce there puts most hotel breakfast spreads to shame.
Here’s what I didn’t expect: the soundproofing is incredible. Łąkowa can get a bit busy during rush hour, but inside? Dead quiet. The beds are properly comfortable too – not those rock-hard European mattresses that leave you walking like a pretzel. And the wifi actually works throughout the entire space, which seems basic but you’d be amazed how many places mess this up. The whole check-in process was refreshingly straightforward – no standing around hotel lobbies with your luggage, just clear instructions and keys that actually work on the first try. Small thing, but the bathroom setup impressed me. Decent water pressure, proper hot water that doesn’t run out mid-shower, and enough space to actually move around. Plus there’s a washing machine, which becomes essential if you’re staying more than a few days or doing any serious walking around Gdańsk’s cobblestone streets.
The neighborhood really grows on you. During the day it’s got this nice residential buzz – families heading to school, people walking dogs, the occasional delivery truck. But evenings get properly peaceful. I’d often grab a beer from that Żabka and just sit by the window watching the world slow down. It’s maybe a 20-minute walk to the heart of the Old Town, but honestly? After spending days surrounded by tour groups and restaurant hawkers, coming back to this quiet corner felt like a small luxury. The 9.6 rating makes complete sense once you’ve been there – it’s not trying to be fancy, it’s just trying to be really, really good at being an apartment. And for what you pay versus what you get, especially in a city where decent accommodation can cost serious money, the value proposition is pretty hard to argue with.

Appartment was beautiful, clean, comfortable and very secure
What could be improved: Some shampoo would have been a nice addition and maybe some small milk portions but there were shops nearby, we just arrived very lateMahabad from Finland – 21 October 2024 (10/10)
Everything was perfect.
We stayed 5 days. Everything needed was available. Beautiful modern furniture. Bedrooms were good size. Livingroom was also good size. Two washrooms. Almost fully equipped kitchen. Private parking.
And best location.
What could be improved: Nothing that I didn't like. But a microwave was definitely missing.Emily from United States – 30 September 2024 (9/10)
This is a very nice apartment – modern, luxurious, and with great amenities. It was comfortable and clean, and quiet. Very nice storage space to organize our things while we stayed there. The walk into the main part of town wasn't too bad. Initially it was hard to find the apartment as the buildings are tucked away from the main road, but we quickly got the hang of things.
What could be improved: I booked two separate apartments to be able to accommodate my spouse and I, plus some other family. The one thing I would let people know is that there seems to be some varying levels of what each apartment has to offer. For example, my family's apartment had AC but mine did not.Ruslan from Ukraine – 20 September 2024 (10/10)
The cleanest appt I’ve ever seen in my trips. Very comfortable place to stay with a dedicated parking slot on -1 floor. Not far from the Old city but enough to be quiet enough if you want to rest.
What could be improved: No air conditioning so far.Yana from Spain – 14 September 2024 (10/10)
Very cozy and clean apartment
What could be improved: Noisy neighbors didn’t let sleep up until 2 amValentin from Romania – 8 September 2024 (10/10)
What a wonderful stay we had here! The apartment was beautiful and cozy, clean, fully equipped and the surroundings were beautiful too. It was a plus for us the parking space and the location was absolutely perfect. We highly recommend the apartment and also the restaurant from the hotel in the neighborhood, Sadova!

It was great
What could be improved: The views from the terraceJosefo from Denmark – 1 August 2024 (10/10)
Everything was perfect nothing bad. I like that they arranged an airport transfer early in the morning otherwise it won't be possible for us to reach the airport with two small kids on time.
What could be improved: For the city excursion this location is good but for leisure it's a little bit far east because mostly outdoor activities on the west side like beaches, zoo, Hel. So we have to change 2-3 public transport and it takes longer commuting time.Abul from Norway – 25 July 2024 (10/10)
Excellent accommodation with great location.
