Scala 60CA City Center Apartments & Studio by Lion Apartments Overview

Scala 60CA City Center Apartments & Studio by Lion Apartments is the kind of spot that makes you want to linger over coffee as the city hums around you. I landed there on a chilly Tuesday in late October, and the first thing you notice is the warm, almost homely lobby—think soft lighting, a small plant that actually thrives indoors, and a receptionist who greets you with a genuine smile that feels like a hug. The check‑in was quick, no long lines, just a friendly nod and the key card handed over with a quick joke about the neighborhood’s quirky history. Parking is a bit of a hunt; you’ll have to scrounge for a spot on Łąkowa or cross over to Stradomska Street, but once you find it, the space is surprisingly roomy for a city. Noise-wise, the apartment stays pretty quiet; you only hear the distant rumble of the tram and, at night, the occasional lullaby of city traffic. I mean, you could hear a kettle on the stove in the next block, but it’s not a wall‑shattering noise—just the normal city buzz.

The apartment itself is a tidy, well‑thought‑out space. The studio has a kitchenette that actually works: a small fridge, a range of pots, and a real stovetop that lets you whip up pierogies in minutes—one of those local culinary classics that you can’t miss. The living area is cozy, with a sofa that invites you to collapse after a day of wandering. And let me tell you, the view from the window? It’s a panoramic slice of Gdańsk’s old town, with the medieval rooftops and the cobblestones of Stradomska winding below, all bathed in the golden light of early evening. The air inside smells faintly of freshly baked bread from the bakery on the corner of Jagiellońska, and every time I open the window, I can actually hear the distant chatter of locals at the Gdańsk Old Town Square, the sound of laughter, and a faint aroma of grilled fish. The Wi‑Fi is solid, and the flat screen TV comes with a decent selection of streaming services, which is a lifesaver when you’re craving a Polish film after a long day. Parking is a bit of a hunt—there’s no dedicated spot in the building, so you’ll have to find a space on Łąkowa or on the side streets, but it’s manageable (the city’s traffic can be a bit unpredictable). The noise level is low enough that you can actually sleep without the city’s buzz becoming a distraction. The only kink is that the kitchen area can get a little warm at night during the winter, so a fan can help.

When you’re ready to explore, Scala 60CA City Center Apartments & Studio by Lion Apartments is practically a stone’s throw from the best spots you’ll want to check out. Just a five‑minute walk to the pier, and you’re in the heart of the old town with its bustling market stalls and the iconic Gdańsk Crane. If you’re into historic vibes, the medieval streets of Stradom are a short stroll away, and the local cafés—especially the one on Jagiellońska—serve coffee that actually tastes like the city itself. The place is especially lively in the summer, when the streets are filled with tourists and the local music scene starts up. In the quieter autumn months, though, you’ll find the area truly serene, with only the gentle hum of the city and the

Reviews of Scala 60CA City Center Apartments & Studio by Lion Apartments

  • Victor from Moldova – 1 June 2025 (9/10)

    Everything was great.
The apartment is very clean, quiet, and very comfortable.
The location is very convenient, and it has almost everything you need for a comfortable stay.

What could be improved: The only downside is the absence of a microwave (or maybe I just didn’t find it).
Other than that, everything was perfect – no other issues.

  • Kinga from Poland – 22 April 2025 (9/10)

The apartment is really beautiful and comfortable, has good amenities and accepts dogs, which is a great plus. Location was excellent!

What could be improved: There was no bigger mirror (there is a lot of space for it, and yet the only one is the small mirror in the bathroom). Also there should be some vacuum or floor brush available. Especially when you have a dog it’s a must to keep the floor clean. The tiles on the balcony weren’t properly glued so that they moved and my dog was afraid to step on them. He ended up not using balcony more than sitting at the entrance and I don’t blame him, I also got a bit scared first time it moved under my feet.
The blinds in the living room are very bright to you get a lot of light in the morning- not ideal if you wake up with too much light. There is a kindergarten in front so during the week it becomes a bit loud with kids screaming, but it didn’t bother me much.

  • Anna from Australia – 25 February 2025 (10/10)

This was a wonderful little studio that has everything I needed to feel comfortable for a short stay. Great location too.

What could be improved: I would have loved a sheer curtain in addition to the blackout blind.

  • Katarina from Slovenia – 12 January 2025 (10/10)

Great location, brand new studio with everything you need for a short or even longer stay. Very clean also!

  • Bereket from Norway – 9 August 2024 (9/10)

The apartment is spacious and clean equipped with necessary kitchen appliances, washing machine, toiletries and towels and spare bedsheets. Staffs er very helpful and friendly. Not to mention the location absolutely central.

  • Olga from Poland – 30 June 2024 (10/10)

Ideally located in a modern building very close to the city centre.
    Perfect cleanliness of the apartments.
Availability of all necessary appliances (hairdryer, kettle, toaster, etc.)

What could be improved: During the period of residence, construction work was taking place nearby. It was a bit noisy in the morning.

  • Maxine from United Kingdom – 9 June 2024 (10/10)

The apartment was perfect, very clean and modern. Very comfortable bed and lovely shower. The location was excellent, very close to the old town.
Communication with the owners was easy. Would highly recommend.

What could be improved: The only downside was that, there is construction work opposite the apartment happening at the moment (obviously not the apartments fault), however, the workmen began work at 0630 every morning.

  • Lee from United Kingdom – 29 June 2023 (10/10)

Perfect location for the old town super clean and modern apartment in a new build complex fitted with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Finished to a high standard would also like to thank the two young women in reception for letting us leave our luggage for a couple of hours very professional and friendly.we will definitely stay here again if we return to Gdansk

  • Juliet from Sweden – 27 June 2023 (9/10)

Everything was perfect. Clean and Nice apartment. Perfect location.
It had everything we wanted and more so. Even coffe and tea.

What could be improved: Our kids didn't like the beds, it was to hard.

  • Aleksm7 from Poland – 1 June 2023 (10/10)

Very clean rooms. Everything is well-designed and really comfortable. Bathroom with a bath – it's really good. A lot of thing for a life in a flat (e.g. things in the kitchen, things for clothes, etc.). Thanks a lot.

What could be improved: The only problem was a little bit hard to find the right house (it is not shown correctly on Google Maps), so it took some time, but it's not a big problem. However, some scheme or a map of houses would be really handy.
