Robinson Crusoe – Sea View Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Robinson Crusoe – Sea View on Starowiejska Street, you immediately get that “this is going to be good” feeling. The name might sound a bit quirky, but honestly, it works — there’s something adventurous yet refined about this four-star place that sets it apart from the typical hotel chains you’ll find elsewhere in Gdańsk. The building itself has character, and you can tell right away that someone put real thought into creating something special here.

Location & Neighborhood

Here’s the thing about Starowiejska — it’s one of those streets that locals know is perfectly positioned, but tourists often stumble upon by happy accident. You’re close enough to the Old Town that you can easily walk to all the main attractions, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the constant buzz of tour groups. I mean, getting a 9.0 location rating doesn’t happen by chance. The area has that authentic Polish neighborhood feel, with little cafes and shops that actually serve locals, not just visitors. The street itself offers a perfect balance of accessibility and tranquility.

The Room Experience

The sea view room situation here is genuinely impressive — and I’m someone who’s usually skeptical when hotels promise water views. You actually get proper glimpses of the Baltic, especially from the higher floors. The rooms themselves strike that sweet spot between modern comfort and local character. Everything feels thoughtfully designed rather than just thrown together from a hotel supply catalog. The beds are properly comfortable, and there’s enough space to actually unpack and settle in for a few days. Natural light floods through the windows, creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Practical Perks

Let’s talk about something that might seem small but makes a huge difference — the free private parking. If you’ve ever tried to park in central Gdańsk, you’ll understand why this is basically gold. No circling blocks looking for a spot, no feeding meters every two hours, just pull up and you’re done. It’s the kind of detail that shows they understand what travelers actually need. Plus, the staff genuinely seems to care about making your stay work well, which isn’t always a given at this price point. This attention to detail extends throughout the entire property.

Why Guests Love It

There’s a reason couples rate this place so highly — it’s got that romantic, slightly secluded feeling without being isolated from everything interesting. The combination of sea views, solid location, and personal touches creates something that feels more like a boutique experience than a standard hotel stay. You’re getting excellent value for what you pay, especially considering that 9.2 guest rating reflects real satisfaction from people who’ve actually stayed here. It’s the sort of place where you’ll find yourself planning your next trip back before you’ve even checked out.

Reviews of Robinson Crusoe – Sea View

  • Karyna from Norway – 28 May 2025 (9/10)

Excellent apartment with good conditions and comfortable for living. Еxcellent kitchen set-up – enough good pots and pans. Beautiful sunset from the windows! The area itself is new and surprisingly comfortable for families.

What could be improved: the location of the apartment is very far from the city and shopping centers. 8 minutes walk + bus every 20 minutes. The only better option is a taxi:(
had to wash the floors on the first day because the floors were poorly washed. It looked clean but our socks would turn black from dirt and dust after twenty minutes.

not really thought out for long term rental. For 14 days for a family of 5 we did not have enough clean towels, garbage bags, dishwasher tablets and napkins in the kitchen., we just bought it again.

  • Dmytro from Poland – 21 April 2025 (10/10)

The place is very clean, sunny, with beautiful views, and close to the seaside. Recommend for the families and couples.

What could be improved: All good

  • Krzysztof from Poland – 13 September 2024 (10/10)

    Widok z tarasu widokowego

What could be improved: Nie było nic co by mi się nie podobało.

  • Tomasz from Poland – 30 July 2024 (9/10)

Lokalizacja, komfort, widok, okolica, wielkość mieszkania, czystość.

What could be improved: Proponowałbym aby było więcej szklanek, kubków, sztućców na wyposażeniu apartamentu. Powinien być też płyn nabłyszczający uzupełniony w zmywarce i dosypana sól do zmywarki oraz więcej tabletek do prania w zmywarce. Słabo działał odkurzacz.

  • Wioletta from Poland – 14 July 2024 (9/10)

Rewelacyjna lokalizacja. Wszędzie blisko. Nowoczesny apartament ze wszystkim co potrzebne.. 😊

  • Sylwia from Poland – 2 July 2024 (8/10)

    Przestronny, jasny

What could be improved: Bardzo brudna podłoga, ledwo weszliśmy a białe skarpetki były czarne.

  • Janusz from Poland – 10 June 2024 (10/10)

  • Jacek from Poland – 6 October 2023 (9/10)

Bardzo komfortowy apartament, wygodne łóżko sypialniane, super że w pokoju znajdują się ręczniki , pralka. Cisza i spokój. Lokalizacja super. Polecam szczególnie na rodzinny wyjazd z dziećmi.

What could be improved: Był tylko jeden klucz, czasem rozdzielaliśmy się na dwie grupy i był mamy problem

  • Bülend from Germany – 6 June 2023 (10/10)

    Sehr gute Lage, alles unkompliziert.

What could be improved: Alles bestens

  • Joanna from Poland – 29 May 2023 (10/10)

Cicha, spokojna okolica, dostępny parking przy bloku.

What could be improved: Trudno powiedzieć, czy coś mi się nie podobało. Wszystko było ok.
