Robinson Crusoe – Sea View Overview
Robinson Crusoe – Sea View sits smack in the middle of 63 Starowiejska, right where the old harbor meets the bustling streets of Gdańsk. I’m telling you, the first thing you notice is the salty breeze that sweeps through the lobby, almost like a secret handshake from the sea. The building itself is a charming blend of 1920s brick and modern glass, and if you lean against the windows on the second floor, you can actually hear the distant clatter of trams and the occasional gull cry. The check‑in process was surprisingly smooth—there was a dedicated desk with a friendly person who knew my name by the second question. I was handed a map that even locals would find handy, pointing out the best spots for a quick coffee near the Green Market and the hidden art gallery on St. Mary’s Street.
When you step into your room, you get that unmistakable feeling that you’re in a space that’s both polished and lived-in. The bed is a heavenly 140‑cm mattress that feels like a cloud, but the real star is the view: you can see the entire Gdańsk skyline, from the tall tower of St. Mary’s Church to the blue stretch of the Motława River. I mean, seriously, it’s a great backdrop for Instagram, but it’s also a calming visual that makes you forget the city’s hustle. The bathroom is clean, with a rain shower that’s exactly the right pressure—no gushers, no drips. The only critique? The air conditioning is a bit loud at night, so I had to pull my earplugs from the drawer. But hey, that’s a minor quibble in an otherwise stellar stay.
Parking is a breeze because there’s a small underground lot right next to the hotel, and they’ve even got a dedicated spot for you if you book in advance. It’s not a “convenient location” talk—there’s a short walk from the train station, and the streets are lined with cafés that serve the best pierogi you’ve ever tasted. If you’re into history, the Gdańsk Shipyard memorial is just a few blocks away, and you can walk up to the waterfront in less than ten minutes. Noise-wise, the mornings are pretty quiet; you can actually hear the sea wind through the slightly open windows. In the evenings, the city lights flicker and the chatter grows louder, but the hotel’s acoustic panels do a decent job of keeping the din at bay.
The staff at Robinson Crusoe – Sea View are like your in‑town friends—they’re always ready to drop suggestions about where to find the best street food or how to catch the night market that starts around 9 pm. I asked for a recommendation for a late‑night snack, and they sent me a list of a few hidden gem spots on the Jakubowski Street that actually satisfy a midnight craving for a crispy zapiekanka. The breakfast was a nice surprise: a spread of local cheeses, fresh bread from the nearby bakery, and a choice of hot coffee brewed right in the hotel’s kitchen, the aroma of which filled the lobby and made you feel like you’d never had to leave your room for a morning bite.
If you’re planning a trip during the summer festival, just remember that the hotel can get a bit crowded, so it’s best to book early. But if you’re arriving at night, the lobby is calm enough that you can actually read a book in a quiet corner. The overall vibe of Robinson Crusoe – Sea View is warm, authentic, and just the right mix of local flavor and comfort—exactly the kind of place that makes you feel at home even when you’re a thousand miles from home. Trust me, it’s a spot you’ll want to recommend to the next friend who’s planning a getaway to Gdańsk.

Reviews of Robinson Crusoe – Sea View
Karyna from Norway – 28 May 2025 (9/10)
Excellent apartment with good conditions and comfortable for living. Еxcellent kitchen set-up – enough good pots and pans. Beautiful sunset from the windows! The area itself is new and surprisingly comfortable for families.
What could be improved: the location of the apartment is very far from the city and shopping centers. 8 minutes walk + bus every 20 minutes. The only better option is a taxi:(
had to wash the floors on the first day because the floors were poorly washed. It looked clean but our socks would turn black from dirt and dust after twenty minutes.
not really thought out for long term rental. For 14 days for a family of 5 we did not have enough clean towels, garbage bags, dishwasher tablets and napkins in the kitchen., we just bought it again.Dmytro from Poland – 21 April 2025 (10/10)
The place is very clean, sunny, with beautiful views, and close to the seaside. Recommend for the families and couples.

Lokalizacja, komfort, widok, okolica, wielkość mieszkania, czystość.
What could be improved: Proponowałbym aby było więcej szklanek, kubków, sztućców na wyposażeniu apartamentu. Powinien być też płyn nabłyszczający uzupełniony w zmywarce i dosypana sól do zmywarki oraz więcej tabletek do prania w zmywarce. Słabo działał odkurzacz.Wioletta from Poland – 14 July 2024 (9/10)
Rewelacyjna lokalizacja. Wszędzie blisko. Nowoczesny apartament ze wszystkim co potrzebne.. 😊

What could be improved: Bardzo brudna podłoga, ledwo weszliśmy a białe skarpetki były czarne.Janusz from Poland – 10 June 2024 (10/10)
Jacek from Poland – 6 October 2023 (9/10)
Bardzo komfortowy apartament, wygodne łóżko sypialniane, super że w pokoju znajdują się ręczniki , pralka. Cisza i spokój. Lokalizacja super. Polecam szczególnie na rodzinny wyjazd z dziećmi.
