Riverside Apartments-Brabank DeLuxe Overview

Riverside Apartments-Brabank DeLuxe is tucked into the heart of Gdańsk Old Town, right on a quiet stretch of the Motława River. I first spotted it as I was walking past Dluga Street, the cobblestones humming with the usual mix of locals and tourists. The building itself has that kind of dignified, almost understated elegance you find in historic apartments—brown stone, a bit of ivy climbing the façade, and a brass door that feels more like a portal than a gate. When I arrived, the front desk was surprisingly efficient: a friendly local woman who greeted me by name, then handed me a QR code for a digital key. No long wait, no paper forms, just a quick scan and I was in. The check‑in area was surprisingly quiet, with soft jazz in the background and a few potted herbs that gave the space a subtle, fresh scent. Parking is a bit of a scavenger hunt—I had to find a small, narrow alley behind the hotel where a handful of cars were parked, but the staff gave me a free parking sticker for the next few days. Noise-wise, the city buzz starts at around 7 pm, but the rooms stay sweetly insulated, so you can still hear the distant murmur of the river without the street clatter.

The apartment itself—oh, and now I’m talking about Riverside Apartments-Brabank DeLuxe again—felt like a cozy loft with a modern twist. The living area has a big window that frames the river, and the light that pours in during the late afternoon is golden, a perfect backdrop for a cup of coffee on the balcony. The bed was a real find: a memory‑foam mattress that folded into a low‑profile frame, and the sheets were crisp with that slightly cool, linen‑like feel. I loved the little touches—a handwritten note from the host with a list of their favorite cafés, a small bottle of local vodka, and a tiny hammock hanging outside, ready for a quick nap on a breezy evening. The kitchen was compact but functional: a single stove, a fridge, a coffee machine that made espresso like a pro, and a set of knives that cut through bread as if they were butter. The bathroom had a rainfall shower that felt surprisingly luxurious for a city apartment, and the towels were fluffy, not too thick, just the right amount of absorbency.

When the day turned to night, I stepped out onto the balcony and was hit by the sound of a distant jazz club—just a few steps away from the river—and the faint smell of roasted chestnuts from a nearby stall. I took a short walk down to Dluga Street, where a little café called “Café Parada” served the best flat‑bread with a drizzle of honey. If you’re planning a visit during the summer, expect the streets to fill up with people by 8 pm—so bring a bottle of water and maybe a light jacket for the evenings, because the river can get chilly. I would also recommend checking out the old Jewish Quarter, which is less than a ten‑minute walk and offers a quieter, more contemplative vibe. On the flip side, if you’re a light sleeper, be aware that the main square (Rynek) starts to buzz with street performers around 9 pm, but that’s a perfect excuse to grab a late‑night drink in one of the many terraces. All in all, Riverside Apartments-Brabank DeLuxe feels like a home base that’s both comfortable and authentically Gdańsk—just the kind of place where you’ll want to write a postcard to your friend, saying, “I’m having the best time.”

Hotel in Gdansk booking should be done early, especially during summer festivals when the city hosts internationally celebrated cultural and maritime events.

Reviews of Riverside Apartments-Brabank DeLuxe

  • Anne from United Kingdom – 4 December 2024 (9/10)

The property had everything you need in it and was very clean. It had a lovely view over the river from the balcony and just a short walk to the centre.

What could be improved: You have to collect the keys from their office which is a little bit away from the apartment and return them on the day of departure.

  • Beniamin from United Kingdom – 30 November 2024 (9/10)

Excellent 100% satisfaction. Bang on location and apartament itself was brilliant. If you’re travelling abroad make sure you arrange collection from airport (especially after 8pm) drive came and collected us dropped us off to get keys and then dropped us off to the apartment. So helpful! Thank you for such a smooth transition

  • Beverly from United Kingdom – 17 September 2024 (8/10)

The view is excellent , staff when booking and while there were friendly and helpful. Having the shop so close was a blessing at times no long walks carrying through few items we needed and good location for most things

What could be improved: Balcony door wouldn't close so got a bit chilly at times . The 2 cooking rings were not easy to use

  • Jesper from Luxembourg – 31 August 2024 (9/10)

What could be improved: It's very inconvenient to have to go to a completely different place to get the keys and to give them back. Even when you have a car like we did, it cost us a lot of time and stress, I dare not think of having to do that without a car. You need to change that. Also having only one key for four persons and no doorbell and remote opening of the many doors, is inconvenient.

  • Marzena from United Kingdom – 15 August 2024 (7/10)

Really nice location with great views, clean, spacious.

What could be improved: Had to pick up key from the office which was half an hour walk from property. After travelling all day was not ideal. Same with dropping keys.

  • Sally from Austria – 27 May 2024 (7/10)

    Great location, good space
Just be mindful key collection and drop off is in a different location to the apartment itself

What could be improved: Balcony was broken and we weren’t informed of this

  • Kristina from Lithuania – 16 October 2023 (9/10)

Amazing view and apartment location. Spacious rooms.

What could be improved: super dirty windows

  • Irena from Poland – 9 September 2023 (9/10)

No breakfast. View from the Windows fantastic

  • Aydin from Sweden – 7 August 2023 (8/10)

    The location was very good

  • David from Germany – 26 July 2022 (8/10)

What could be improved: Having to take the keys to a different location – not so much the distance, but bad traffic and a hassle to have to do it.
