Rajska 8 Apartments Old Town Gdańsk by Renters Prestige Overview
Rajska 8 Apartments Old Town Gdańsk by Renters Prestige sits right on the corner of 8 Rajska, a narrow lane that feels like it was carved out just for locals. I remember walking in after a long day of touring the royal port, and the first thing that hit me was the warm, almost humming, vibe of the building’s façade. The stone is a little weathered, but it carries the smell of sea salt and fresh coffee that comes from the café on the ground floor—Browar Malbork, if you’re looking for a quick espresso before you start exploring the market square.
When you actually step inside, the check‑in process is surprisingly smooth. The front desk staff greets you with a friendly “Cześć!” and hands you a key card that’s actually a bit more high‑tech than the old‑school key fobs you’ll find elsewhere in the city. They point out the nearest bike rack (there’s a little one right outside the building, which is handy for the 30‑minute stroll to the Royal Way), and give you a quick rundown on the apartment’s Wi‑Fi, which is fast enough to stream a Polish soap opera without buffering—perfect for those evenings when you’re too tired to wander the cobblestones.
The apartment itself is a charming mix of modern convenience and historical charm. The living area is cozy, with a low‑profile sofa that’s just right for a short nap after a day of sightseeing. I mean, you can’t beat those soft, slightly worn cushions that feel like a memory of a previous guest’s quiet night. A small kitchenette with a kettle, a microwave, and a single burner stove means you can whip up a quick breakfast or a midnight snack, and the tiny fridge is surprisingly roomy for a four‑star place. The bathroom is a clean, bright space with a shower that has a good pressure—something you don’t always get in old‑town accommodations. The tiles are a classic white, but the faucet has that old‑world brass finish which adds a touch of class.
What I love most is the little window that looks out onto Rajska’s narrow streets. The view is a bustling tapestry of street performers, artists setting up their easels, and the occasional vendor selling fresh pierogi. On quieter evenings, the street is dimly lit, and you can hear the soft hum of conversations in Polish, mixed with the distant music from a jazz club on Mariacka. The noise level is reasonable—there’s a bit of a bustle during the day, especially on the 15th of each month when the market gets crowded, but the building’s double‑glazing does a decent job of keeping that down at night. The only real downside is that parking can be a bit of a hunt; the nearest public parking is about a ten‑minute walk down the hill, but the building does provide a small, paid car space if you’re bringing a vehicle. It’s worth the few extra zlotys for the convenience, especially if you’re traveling with luggage or a stroller.
If you’re looking for local spots, the alley next to the building is a hidden gem. There’s a tiny bakery called Sklep z Chlebem that serves a rye bread with a crust so crisp it’s almost a work of art. The next block down is the Old Town Hall, and just a stone’s throw away you’ll find the St. Mary’s Church, where the bells ring every hour, a sound that feels like a gentle reminder of time passing. For a more relaxed vibe, you can head to the nearby park, the Słowiński Park, which is just a short bus ride away. And if you’re into nightlife, the clubs on Złota Street are a bit further but definitely worth a trip.
All in all, Rajska 8 Apartments Old Town Gdańsk by Renters Prestige feels like a home away from home, with just enough polish to feel like a boutique hotel but with the down‑to‑earth feel of a local’s favorite spot. It’s the kind of place that doesn’t scream “tourist trap”; instead, it whispers, “Come in, you’re welcome.” Whether you’re here for a weekend escape or a longer stay, the blend of comfort, location, and a little bit of Polish charm makes it a standout choice in Gdańsk’s Old Town.

Naszym celem było zwiedzanie Gdańska + wyjazd do Sopotu i Gdyni. Doskonała lokalizacja, bardzo blisko centrum, dworca PKP (przystanek SKM), świetna baza wypadowa. Komfortowe, czyste mieszkanie.
