Radisson Hotel & Suites, Gdansk, Wyspa Spichrzów Overview
I just got back from a stay at the Radisson Hotel & Suites, Gdansk, Wyspa Spichrzów, and honestly, it felt like a hidden gem in the middle of the city. The check‑in was smoother than I expected—no long lines, just a friendly front desk guy who handed me a key card with a smile and a quick rundown of the Wi‑Fi password (you know what, they actually put the password on a little card that looks like a postcard). The lobby itself was a cool mix of modern glass and rustic wooden panels, and the scent of freshly brewed coffee from the small café on the ground floor made you feel instantly at home. Parking was a breeze too; there’s a small paid lot right on Chmielna, and the staff even let me drop my luggage in the room before I could check out of the lobby.
The rooms were spacious and surprisingly quiet, even though the hotel sits just a stone’s throw from the bustling Motława River. I stayed in a two‑bedroom suite that had a panoramic view of the river—late afternoons were especially beautiful, with the sun dipping over the water and turning the whole waterfront into a golden glow. The bed was a bit thicker than I’m used to, but the mattress was firm enough that I woke up refreshed. The bathroom had a rain shower—nice, but it was a bit hot, so I had to keep an eye on the temperature. The minibar was stocked with local craft beers and a few Polish pastries, which was a delightful surprise. I also appreciated the little touches, like a small vase of fresh flowers that made the room feel less sterile.
The location is a sweet spot for those who want to explore Gdańsk without feeling lost. From the lobby, it’s just a short walk to the historic Old Town, and you can hop on a tram to reach the beach in Stogi by the hour. I took a stroll to Struża Street the next morning, and the cafés there were buzzing with locals—if you’re in the mood for a classic Polish coffee and a slice of pieróg, you’ll find it here. The hotel’s proximity to the ferry dock meant I could catch a quick ride to Sopot without breaking a sweat. One thing to note is that the area can get a bit noisy around late night—the harbor lights flicker, and you’ll hear the occasional clack of a cargo ship’s crane, but it’s far enough away from the room that I could still get a good night’s sleep.
I have to mention the noise levels near the river. During the summer, there’s a lot of traffic on the nearby Małe Miasto street and the pier, so if you’re a light sleeper, it might be worth asking for a room on a higher floor. The hotel does a decent job of soundproofing, though; the walls are thick, and the windows are double‑glazed. I also found that the staff were super helpful when I asked about the local nightlife; they suggested a few hidden speakeasy bars on the Przekopowa Street, which turned out to be a real treat. The Wi‑Fi was reliable enough for me to stream a movie in the evening, but you might want to plan your work around the hotel’s scheduled maintenance—it’s usually a quick 30‑minute downtime in the early morning.
All in all, staying at Radisson Hotel & Suites, Gdansk, Wyspa Spichrzów felt like staying with a friend who knows all the best spots, but in a place that still feels like a luxury hotel. If you’re planning a trip to Gdańsk and want a comfortable base with easy access to both the historic center and the waterfront, this place is definitely worth a look. The combination of thoughtful amenities, a welcoming staff, and a prime location makes it one of the best options in the city. You’ll leave with a sense that you’ve seen the city from a new angle—one that’s both familiar and fresh.

Reviews of Radisson Hotel & Suites, Gdansk, Wyspa Spichrzów
John from United Kingdom – 7 June 2025 (8/10)
Excellent breakfast but on three of the four days there were two conventions so it was very busy.. Due to the conventions front desk was always busy. The location is excellent.
What could be improved: The conventions. Hotel was 100% full.Jakub from United Kingdom – 6 June 2025 (8/10)
Great location. Really good spa. Friendly and professional staff in the hotel (but not the bar). Rooms were nice and clean.
What could be improved: Bar staff was really slow and disorganised which made getting quick coffee or drink impossible, better go to one of the hundreds of places next door.Elizabeth from United Kingdom – 2 June 2025 (9/10)
Great location and well appointed hotel. Staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast bufffet good with a la carte options included giving wider choice.
What could be improved: Studio room booked with kitchenette but had to ask for any crockery and cutlery.
Spa required prebooking which meant guessing which slots were convenient – so we used it less than expected.
Fresh Fruit selection at breakfast could have been better.Sharon from Ireland – 1 June 2025 (9/10)
Hotel was fantastic, location was amazing, couldn't fault this hotel
What could be improved: Breakfast very busy at 9 o'clock, we went at 9.45 and it was perfect ⭐Hanna from Norway – 1 June 2025 (9/10)
We were upgraded, so that was great. The room was spacious and clean, and the breakfast was tasty.
What could be improved: The changing rooms by the pool were a bit small, would recommend changing in your rooms if using the pool and sauna.Hadi from Sweden – 1 June 2025 (8/10)
What could be improved: Unfortunately the system of aircondition didn't work properly.
Ingrid from Estonia – 29 May 2025 (9/10)
What could be improved: There was no bottled water and minibar in the room.
Jordan from Australia – 26 May 2025 (9/10)
