PlumTree Holiday Apartment Overview
PlumTree Holiday Apartment sits on Chłopska 62a, just a stone’s throw from the cobblestones of Gdańsk’s old town. I arrived on a damp Thursday evening, the kind of night when the city feels like a quiet whisper. The front door was surprisingly simple—just a sturdy wooden frame with a brass knob, but the moment I walked in, the place felt like it had a personality of its own. The lobby, a small open space with a low wooden counter, gave off a subtle scent of fresh coffee and a faint hint of wood polish. The staff greeted me with a warm smile, and the check‑in was a breeze; no long lines, no unnecessary paperwork—just a quick chat about the apartment layout and a map of the area pinned on a cork board.
I let the apartment speak for itself. The living area was a cozy blend of modern and rustic; a reclaimed wood table, a plush sofa that actually feels like a cloud, and a flat‑screen TV tucked under a framed cityscape. The kitchenette was surprisingly functional—there’s a full set of pots, a small fridge, a microwave, and a kettle that whirs like a tiny dragon. The real gem is the balcony, which offers a view of the Motława river. At sunset, the water glows gold, and you can hear the faint hum of traffic from the opposite side of the river. I spent a quiet evening sipping local beer, watching the city lights flicker. The apartment is well insulated, so the noise from the street is basically just a distant murmur, which is great for late nights.
Parking was a relief; there’s a small underground parking lot right next to the building, and I paid a modest fee for a space that was always available. The building’s elevator is a little cramped, but it works fine. The bathroom was bright and clean, with a surprisingly deep shower that feels like a mini spa. I found a small corner where you could lay out a towel and a bottle of water, a thoughtful touch that shows the owners know that travelers appreciate a little convenience. The only downside? The Wi‑Fi signal weakens a bit when you’re on the balcony, but that’s a minor hiccup.
When I stepped outside, the street smelled like rye bread from the bakery on the corner, and the sound of a local tram rolling by was a gentle reminder that I was right in the middle of the city. A few blocks away is the St. Mary’s Church, and you can actually feel the historic vibe of the Old Town just a few minutes’ walk. I took a leisurely lunch at a small trattoria on Złota Street—it was so good that I couldn’t stop raving about the creamy mushroom risotto. The neighborhood is lively during the day but quiet at night; the only bright lights are the streetlamps and the occasional passerby in a tourist guidebook’s photo.
Honestly, the highlight of staying at PlumTree Holiday Apartment was the sense of belonging that the place exudes. You can feel the local flavor in every detail—from the polished walnut desks to the small, handwritten note that said “Enjoy your stay, and feel free to ask if you need anything.” The apartment felt like a home, not a hotel, and the hosts were genuinely helpful. The only thing that made me want to leave a little earlier was that the balcony view was best at sunset; after midnight, the city lights were a little dim, but that’s just the rhythm of Gdańsk, I guess. Overall, if you want a comfortable, well‑located, and authentic spot in Gdańsk, PlumTree Holiday Apartment is where you should be. Trust me—this place is a sweet spot that will make your stay feel like a local’s, with all the comforts of a four‑star experience but without the cold, impersonal vibe you sometimes find in larger chains.

Kamil from Poland – 28 October 2024 (10/10)

This house is so perfect for holiday on Baltic Sea in Gdańsk. We are very satisfied and everything was so perfect:
– House in general is new and has good interior in huge style: loft design, green garden, summer terrace 🥰 it’s amazing to have barbecue in the garden ✨🫠
– House is located in the city, but it was quite comfortable, cause it’s located in the private housing area.
– There is everything you need for staying: full equipped kitchen, barbecue, nice garden, good bathroom, comfortable beds.
– It was perfect to have parking place on the territory.
– 15 min from the beach and main alley is really perfect 👍
– Beds are separated in the sleeping room, but that was perfect and very comfortable for us with the husband.Priscila from Ecuador – 15 April 2024 (8/10)
It has everything we needed.
What could be improved: The shower can be tricky and make mess.Agata from United Kingdom – 12 September 2023 (8/10)
Very easy communication with the welcoming hosts, who were very accommodating (early arrival). Great location, all amenities (shops, public transportation) are nearby and you are only a short walk to the coast.
What could be improved: I wish there was a fan as it does get quite hot in the summer and having the windows open is not enough.Agata from United Kingdom – 2 September 2022 (9/10)
Very easy communication with the hosts who were welcoming an accommodating. The property is conveniently located close to the beach, shops and all modes of transportation.
Super spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable.
What could be improved: Not much of a criticism but a suggestion… the summers in Poland get very hot and in the absence of AC, it might be worth having a fan. We were hot at night despite sleeping with open windows.
