Here’s the thing about Zaspa — it’s not Old Town Gdańsk, but that’s actually its strength. You’re in a proper Polish neighborhood where locals live and work, which gives you a completely different perspective on the city. The parking situation is fantastic (and free, which is rare these days), so if you’re driving, you’re golden. Getting to the historic center takes about 15-20 minutes by tram or car, and I found the public transport connections surprisingly good. Plus, there’s something nice about returning to a quieter area after spending the day navigating tourist-packed streets.

The Room Experience

My room was spacious — I mean genuinely spacious, not hotel-brochure spacious. The design strikes this perfect balance between modern comfort and practical functionality. The bed was properly comfortable (you know how hit-or-miss hotel beds can be), and the bathroom felt more like what you’d find in a well-designed apartment than a standard hotel. What really impressed me was the attention to details — good lighting for actually reading, enough outlets where you need them, and windows that open properly for fresh air.

The breakfast spread here is honestly impressive — they’ve got everything from continental basics to full English options, plus Italian selections and even halal, kosher, and gluten-free choices. I appreciated that they clearly put thought into accommodating different dietary needs without making it feel like an afterthought. The quality was consistently good throughout my stay, and the restaurant area has this relaxed atmosphere where you can actually take your time without feeling rushed. The coffee was proper strong, which always wins points with me.

  What could be improved: Ktoś popełnił błąd i nie zabukowano nam noclegu o dzień wcześniej niż pierwotnie rezerwowałam termin, plusem i szczęściem było to,że znaleziono nam nocleg w innym miejscu na tą jedną noc, lecz nie z odpowiednią ilością miejsc do spania, więc jedna osoba musiała spać na podłodze 🫣. Jeśli chodzi o samo mieszkanie docelowe to czystość ogólna ok,ale pościele nie były wymienione po poprzednich klientach, czuć było zapach perfum na pościeli oraz nie było odpowiedniej ilości pościeli na osoby które miały spać w mieszkaniu, brak poszewki na poduszkę, kołdrę i brak prześcieradła. To był nasz drugi pobyt w tym miejscu, za pierwszym razem nie było takich niespodzianek.

  Pełne wyposażenie wraz z kapsułkami do prania i zmywarki. Bardzo czysto wszystkie niezbędne sprzęty na wyciągnięcie ręki. Blisko do SKM oraz przystanku autobusowego. Tuż obok Lidl, żabka i plac zabaw dla dzieci.
