Penthouse Comfort Apartments Granaria Overview

Penthouse Comfort Apartments Granaria sits right on 3 Chmielna, smack in the middle of Gdańsk’s bustling Old Town—so you’re practically in the heart of it all. The front desk greets you with a quick, friendly smile and a digital key swipe; no long wait, just a smooth 3 pm check‑in that feels more like a personal welcome than a hotel routine. The lobby’s got that cozy, almost bohemian vibe, with a small café on the ground floor that serves the best espresso (honestly, you can taste the difference). I’ve walked past the Motława River in the evenings, and the building’s proximity means you’re just a short stroll from the water, the medieval streets, and the lively market square.

When you step into your apartment—yes, it’s a full‑service place, not just a dormitory—there’s an open‑plan kitchen that actually feels like a kitchen you’d find in a local home. The stove, fridge, and island are all top‑notch, and the high‑speed Wi‑Fi is reliable, which is a relief if you’ve got to catch up on work. The bedroom is surprisingly quiet, even though the street is a bit lively during the day; the double bed’s memory foam is a game‑changer for those jet‑lagged nights. Oh, and the bathroom—turns out it’s got a rain shower that feels like a mini spa session after a day on the cobbles. Parking is the only real hassle: there’s a paid garage across the street, but the attendants are friendly and can hold your car for a couple of hours if you need to drop off luggage early. I’d rate the noise level a solid 8 out of 10—quiet at night, but you can hear the bar down the block when the crowds start to thin.

What really sets Penthouse Comfort Apartments Granaria apart is how locally it feels. I got a free map from the front desk that highlighted the best spots to grab a quick bite: the tiny street stall with the most authentic pierogi (trust me, it’s a must‑try), the hidden bar on the 7th floor overlooking the harbor, and the little café on Chmielna that’s been around since the 1920s—perfect for a late‑night coffee. I also learned that the building’s elevators run a bit slow during peak hours, but the staff is usually on hand to give you a heads‑up. And for those who love a bit of history, there’s a plaque on the lobby wall that explains the building’s evolution from a 19th‑century tenement to a modern apartment suite—makes you feel part of the city’s story. If you’re visiting during the summer, expect a bit of bustle, but the staff’s efficient check‑out process (around 11 am) means you won’t be stuck waiting. All in all, staying at Penthouse Comfort Apartments Granaria felt like having a home base that’s both comfortable and deeply woven into Gdańsk’s everyday life. If you’re looking for a place that’s not just a hotel but a real slice of local living, this is your spot.

  • Petr from Czech Republic – 15 September 2024 (10/10)

Centrální poloha, úžasný výhled, pohodlné parkování, prostorný apartmán. Check-in proběhnul rychle a hladce, výborná komunikace.

  • Irmina from Poland – 11 August 2024 (10/10)

  • Mehmet from Turkey – 4 August 2024 (10/10)

Centrally located, spacious apartment, all the equipment was brand new, everything you needis provided, excellent room.

What could be improved: The horrible, rude Security guy at the reception is a disgrace to this excellent faciliy. Just before we were leaving to drop the aparment keys & garage remote, i pulled the car over for A minute while car engine was running, this guy came in anger and in the rudest way commanded me not tp park here as i was blocking the garage door. I said there is nowhere to park here plus i didnt block the door as i pulled over to the sideand my family was in the car so it Was obvious that i only wanted to drop the keys and let my self go within a minute. Instead of assiating his guests in his hometown country, this middle aged man in black shirt guy kept on yelling at me and ruined ourhappy memories of Gdansk. Please employ well mannered personnel at your reception desk or door gate otherise you will leave a bitter taste in your guests.

  • Graham from United Kingdom – 29 June 2024 (7/10)

Stunning views, nice apartment & good location.

What could be improved: No thought put into or respect for guests on holiday. Workman using hammer drill in apartment below at 8am is not a nice way to wake up after having a late night on holiday.
When challenged, he said, 'so what, in Poland we start work at 8am', & carried on with hammer drill.
Tried to speak to other people, but no one available.
Tried to then have a shower, but the workman had water turned off.
Why not arrange this for later in the day?
Why not contact guests to give notice of work & water turned off?
    Property good, but mismanaged
    No care or respect!!!!

  • Sharon from Australia – 17 April 2024 (10/10)

Absolutely beautiful apartment with spectacular views. Great location, close to main walking street, with plenty of restaurants directly below. Our favourite accommodation by far on this trip.

  • Britt from Denmark – 21 February 2024 (10/10)

The apartment is very beautiful and big. The location is spot on, with the most breathtaking view.
2 nice new bathrooms and 2 big bedrooms, with dark curtains.

What could be improved: Early mornings construction workers made it noisy ind the apartment.
Would have been nice with pillowcases for the extra pillows.

  • Jonatan from Finland – 21 November 2023 (9/10)

Big and fresh! Most likely the best view you can get. We were celebrating our frinds 30 year old birthday and this was a perfect surprise. The place was clean and nice and suited our stay perfectly. I highly recommend this place. It is even bigger than it looks in photos. There is 2 bathrooms wich makes life alot easier as well.

What could be improved: The bad thing was the main shower, wich was turning off itself so we had to hack it with putting one of the shampoos we got stuck in between.
Another sad was that the Bose sound system was not connected. Minor stuff in general a awesome stay
