Olivia Baltic Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Olivia Baltic, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical chain hotel. The lobby has this modern, understated elegance that feels distinctly Polish — clean lines mixed with warm touches that actually work. I mean, you can tell they put thought into the design rather than just copying some corporate template. The staff genuinely seems happy to see you, which honestly makes such a difference when you’re tired from traveling. This four-star property sets itself apart through thoughtful details and genuine hospitality from the moment you arrive.
Prime Gdańsk Location
The location on Prezydenta Lecha Kaczyńskiego street is honestly brilliant — you’re in Gdańsk proper but away from the tourist chaos of the Old Town. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the historic center, which means you get the best of both worlds. You know what I love? There’s actual parking on site, and it’s free. Anyone who’s tried to park in European city centers knows this is basically gold. The area feels safe for evening strolls, and there are local cafés nearby where you’ll actually see Gdańsk residents, not just tour groups. The neighborhood offers an authentic slice of local life.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was spacious by European standards — and I’m not just saying that. The bed was genuinely comfortable (you know how hotel beds can be hit or miss), and the bathroom had this rainfall shower that actually had decent water pressure. What struck me was the attention to details: proper blackout curtains, enough outlets near the bed, and a work desk that’s actually usable if you need to get things done. The soundproofing works well too — four-star hotels sometimes skimp on this, but not here. Every element contributes to a restful stay.
Dining and Amenities
The hotel restaurant serves solid Polish cuisine with some international options thrown in. I had the pierogi one evening — honestly better than some standalone restaurants I’ve tried in the city. Breakfast is comprehensive without being overwhelming, and they actually have decent coffee (not always a given in Poland, to be honest). The spa area is compact but well-designed, perfect for unwinding after walking around Gdańsk’s cobblestone streets all day. Guests appreciate the quality of both food and relaxation facilities.
Why Guests Love It
Here’s the thing — Olivia Baltic gets the balance right between professional service and personal touches. The 9.5 rating isn’t inflated; couples especially seem to appreciate the quieter location and the fact that you can actually relax here. It’s not trying to be flashy or over-the-top, just consistently good at what matters. When you’re exploring a city like Gdańsk with its rich history and stunning architecture, you want a place that feels like a proper retreat at the end of the day, and this delivers on that promise. This apartment-style hotel with kitchen facilities available makes it ideal for extended stays.

What could be improved: Nie ma takiej rzeczy 🙂Aleksandra from Poland – 30 March 2025 (10/10)
Apartament bardzo nam się podobał. Czysty, ładnie urządzony, mieliśmy w nim wszystko czego potrzebowaliśmy. Super kontakt z właścicielami. Lokalizacja rewelacyjna, blisko do morza. Kilka metrów od apartamentu jest wyznaczona droga przez park, która prowadzi do plaży. Polecam!

Polecam z czystym sumieniem pobyt w apartamencie Olivia Baltic. Lokalizacja bliskość parku z którego prowadzą liczne trasy spacerowe nad morze, piękne molo w Brzeźnie. W parku raj dla osób posiadających psy. Polecam obok apartamentu odwiedzić lokal Whiskey One The Rocks. Do dyspozycji gości możliwość skorzystania ze sauny, bilarda oraz siłowni. Tylko trzeba dzień wcześniej zapisać się na recepcji ,( ochroniarza). W apartamencie udogodnienia w postaci deski do prasowania, żelazka, pralki. Jest łazienka i oddzielna ubikacja. Dla mobilnych garaż podziemny.
Spędziłem razem z rodziną udany pobyt nad morzem.Lauren from United Kingdom – 21 August 2024 (10/10)
Location. Thoughtful extras like washing tablets for dishes and clothes.
Anastasija from Lithuania – 14 May 2024 (9/10)
These apartments are wonderful and come equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, from a washing machine to a dishwasher. The location is excellent, with a seaside park, shops, and public transport stops nearby. We chose this place for the second time precisely because of these advantages.
What could be improved: If you decide to use the additional services such as the billiard room, sauna, or gym, you will need to request a key from the reception staff. One of the men working here is extremely unfriendly, as noted in other reviews on Booking.com. During our first visit in 2022, he did not want to allow us to use the additional services, but this issue was quickly resolved after the apartment owner intervened. We thought it was just a misunderstanding at the time.
During our second stay, we were lucky not to encounter this person until our last evening. He did not allow us to use the billiard room, even though it was free, and invented new rules on the spot, stating that we had to book a day in advance. When we asked him to show us where this rule was written, he said he would not show us anything because "people live in this building and tourists are not welcome" (but tourists are people who live in the rented apartments too—perhaps the reception staff don't understand this). He also stated that even though we are tourists, we should speak to him in Polish because we are in Poland. I have basic knowledge of Polish and tried to communicate with him, but he just laughed at my attempts to speak perfectly.
Our last evening in Poland was ruined. Of course, we reported the incident to the apartment owner. We understand that she does not hire the reception staff working on the ground floor, but it is clear that the problem with this person needs to be addressed. Reviews on Booking.com show that we are not the only ones who have had this bad experience. It is strange that the owners cannot contact the company that delegates its employees to this building and cannot demand respectful behavior towards tourists. We pay for the advertised services, and it is unclear why the reception staff decides who is worthy of using the billiard room or gym and sets rules that are not communicated to us upon check-in.Ivona from Czech Republic – 28 July 2023 (10/10)
Comfortable equipment, fully equipped kitchen, good communication with a host, sauna, billiard.
What could be improved: –Alesia from Poland – 27 March 2023 (10/10)
Location is perfect: a lot of shops, big park to go for a walk or to the sea, billiard, sauna, hammam, gym, parking, comfortable bed and sofa. A new building with fresh renovations. Host presented a gift for my little daughter. She was happy. Also host answered all my questions fast in booking chat.
What could be improved: If you want to go to the billiard and sauna you should go to the concierge and sign up for free time, then you go to him before your time and get a key. I understood that information at first incorrect)Thomas from Poland – 23 September 2022 (9/10)
Amazing location, great sounds isolation, really quiet place. Sauna and fitness is really great.
Restaurant downstairs is a good plus.
Highly recommended for family stay
What could be improved: Kitchen ventilation working non stop (not bothering )
