Old Town Długa Vintage & Main Old Town by Downtown Apartments Overview
Old Town Długa Vintage & Main Old Town by Downtown Apartments is tucked right on Długa, the artery that slices through Gdańsk’s historic heart. I first spotted it on a rainy Saturday when the streetlamps were flickering over cobblestones and the smell of fresh pierogi drifted from the corner shop on Motławska. The building itself is a charming mix of old brick and modern glass, the kind of place that feels like a secret you’re allowed to keep. I remember the moment the front desk clerk handed me a keycard with a handwritten note—“Welcome to the heart of the city!”—and instantly I felt that the staff are genuinely invested in your stay.
Check‑in was surprisingly smooth. The lobby was cozy, with a small bar that served a decent espresso, and the staff were friendly enough to show me where the elevator was before I even knew I’d need it. There’s a small parking spot in the building’s basement, but honestly, parking in Gdańsk is a nightmare, so I ended up parking on St. Mariacka Street—just a block away, and the meter’s a bit of a hassle, but the view of the Cathedral is worth it. When the city gets busy in July, the streets around Długa can get pretty noisy; I’d recommend arriving after 9 pm if you’re a light sleeper. The hotel’s windows are pretty thick, so the city’s nightlife doesn’t bleed through too much, but the occasional distant honk or the clatter of a bicycle can still make an impression.
The rooms are a blend of vintage charm and modern convenience—think plush bedding, a small kitchenette, and a balcony that faces the street. I spent one evening on my balcony watching the sunset over the Motława River, the lights from the port turning the water into a glittering ribbon. The Wi‑Fi was decent, but the Wi‑Fi password was tucked under a coaster, so it took me a minute to find it. A minor gripe: the bathroom’s shower has a bit of a drip, but the hotel’s maintenance team was quick to fix it when I called. The breakfast spread at the adjacent café was a hit; the smoked fish on rye bread is a must-try, and the local coffee is strong enough to keep you awake during those long city walks. If you’re planning a trip around Christmas, be prepared for the streets to be lined with lights, and the noise from the market stalls will be louder than usual. But that’s part of the charm—Gdańsk feels alive in every season.
I’ve walked down to the nearby St. Mary’s Church and felt the weight of history in the stone, and then I’d return to Old Town Długa Vintage & Main Old Town by Downtown Apartments to relax. The staff even offered to recommend a few hidden gems—like the small jazz bar on Gdańska Street or the street performers on Złota Street—so you don’t feel like you’re just ticking off a list. Overall, if you’re looking for a place that feels like a home base in the midst of Gdańsk’s lively Old Town, this is the spot. The mix of local flavor, practical amenities, and that genuine welcoming vibe makes it a memorable stay, and I can’t wait to go back next time I’m in the city.
Gdansk’s hotels showcase the perfect blend of Hanseatic tradition and modern comfort, with many featuring maritime tour services and authentic Polish coastal hospitality.

Bardzo przytulne mieszkanie. Piękny widok z okna na Bazylikę Mariacką. Mimo położenia w samym centrum cicho.
Krzysztof from Poland – 2 January 2025 (8/10)
The apartment has great location, quite during the night with parking spot in the city centre.
What could be improved: Almost nothing, except maybe dishwasher need some fixing, trolleys seems broken making it bit difficult to use.
Contact with the owner could possibly be better.Joanna from Poland – 15 July 2024 (9/10)
Sanicka from United Kingdom – 3 June 2024 (9/10)
Shalikova from Ukraine – 23 February 2024 (9/10)
Для сімейного відпочинку все супер,самий центр міста, затишна квартира,є все необхідне для приготування їжі.

Polecam!!! Czysto, przytulnie, z klimatem.
Bez problemu można znaleźć miejsce do zaparkowania na terenie dziedzińca.
Z pewnością wrócimy przy okazji kolejnej wizyty w Gdańsku. 🙂Marzena from Poland – 28 September 2023 (9/10)

Newly equipped renovated apartment. Great location. Literally in the very heart of Gdansk but at the same time no noise from the main streets. Free parking in the private area. Provided instructions to contactless check in/out are clear to follow. The apartment has everything needed for a comfortable stay for a couple or a family. Definitely recommend. Please note that the apartment is on the 4th floor and no elevator.
