First Impressions

Walking up to Old Town Blue – Dobra, you immediately get that feeling you’ve stumbled onto something special. This four-star boutique property sits right in the heart of Gdańsk’s historic district, and honestly — the location alone makes it worth considering. The building itself has this understated charm that fits perfectly with the cobblestone streets around it, without trying too hard to be Instagram-perfect. Every corner reveals thoughtful design choices that honor the neighborhood’s medieval heritage.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s what I love about staying here — you’re literally steps away from everything that makes Gdańsk worth visiting. The Main Town Hall is practically around the corner, and you can walk to the famous Crane (Żuraw) in about five minutes. I mean, couples rate this place incredibly highly for romantic getaways, and after spending time wandering these medieval streets at sunset, I totally get why. The Neptune Fountain, St. Mary’s Church, all those colorful merchant houses along Long Market — they’re all within easy walking distance. You’ll find yourself discovering new details with each stroll through the winding streets.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in had this perfect balance of modern comfort and old-world character. You know what really impressed me? The attention to detail in the design — they’ve managed to incorporate contemporary amenities without losing that historic feel. The windows actually open (which isn’t always a given in renovated buildings), and if you’re lucky enough to get a street-facing room, the views of the old town architecture are pretty spectacular. The beds are genuinely comfortable too, which matters more than you’d think after a full day of sightseeing.

Dining & Neighborhood Eats

While the hotel doesn’t have its own full restaurant, that’s actually not a problem at all. The surrounding area is packed with incredible dining options — from traditional Polish pierogi spots to upscale seafood places taking advantage of Gdańsk’s maritime heritage. There’s this little café about two blocks away that serves the best coffee I had during my entire Poland trip, and the hotel staff actually recommended it (which tells you something about how well they know their neighborhood). You’ll never run short of excellent places to eat within a short walk.

What really sets this place apart is how it feels like you’re staying in the actual heart of historic Gdańsk, not just visiting it. Recent guests consistently rave about the location, and after staying here, I understand the hype completely. The staff genuinely knows the area and can point you toward hidden gems that most tourists miss entirely. Plus, there’s something magical about stepping out your door in the morning and immediately being surrounded by centuries-old architecture and that distinctive Baltic atmosphere. For couples especially, this creates exactly the kind of romantic, immersive experience that makes a trip memorable rather than just another hotel stay.

  Bardzo przyjemna, czyściutka kawalerka. Duże okna wychodzą na podwórze dzięki czemu mieszkanie jest jasne i ciche. W kuchni wszystkie potrzebne przybory. Plus za takie drobiazgi jak ściereczka do naczyń, ręczniki papierowe i dużo wieszaków na ręczniki w łazience, to na prawdę bardzo ułatwia pobyt.
  Spokojna okolica, za rogiem dwie żabki i przystanek autobusowy. Bardzo miło spędzony czas.

  Mieszkanko po remoncie, czyściutko, fajna, cicha okolica . Spacerkiem do centrum i innych atrakcji blisko. Sklep Żabka przy bloku. Bardzo dobry kontakt z właścicielem. Polecam.
