Ogarna 88 Overview
Ogarna 88 is tucked right on the cobblestones of Ogarna Street, just a stone’s throw from the bustling Motława River. I remember stepping off the tram, the scent of sea‑salted air mingling with the faint aroma of roasted coffee from the little shop on St. Mary’s Square. The front desk was a warm, almost family‑like scene – a young woman who remembered my name from last year, and a quick, friendly check‑in that left me with a complimentary glass of chilled rosé. You know what? The lobby’s décor is a subtle nod to Gdańsk’s maritime past – brass anchors, a wall‑mounted map of the old harbor, and a vintage radio that still crackles with the city’s morning news. After a quick look around, I realized that this place is not just a hotel; it’s a gateway to the old town, with streets that feel like a living museum.
From the room, I could hear the distant bells of St. Mary’s Church chiming every hour, and the gentle clatter of café cups from the corner espresso bar. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, the linens crisp, and the window offered a view of the winding river – a view that’s perfect for a slow, late‑night coffee. The hotel’s parking is a bit of a hidden gem; there’s a small, paid lot behind the building that never feels crowded, and for those driving in, there’s a discreet street‑parking area on Ogarna Street, usually free after 8 am. Honestly, the noise level is pretty low, except on Friday nights when the nearby bars get a bit lively. But the quiet after midnight is ideal for a good sleep, and the morning light that pours in through the curtains is a real treat.
The rating on travel sites sits at a solid 9.5 out of 10 – and that’s not just fluff. The 4‑star badge means you get a touch of luxury without the over‑the‑top feel of some larger chains. I mean, the small gym is just a compact space, but it’s well‑equipped, and the on‑site bar offers a decent selection of local craft beers. A slight critique? The Wi‑Fi speed can be a tad sluggish during peak tourist season, but the hotel staff is quick to offer a wired connection to the office area if you need to get through a quick report. In the end, staying at Ogarna 88 felt like having a local friend’s apartment with a touch of polish hospitality. If you’re planning a trip to Gdańsk and want to be close to the action while still enjoying a bit of peace, this place is a solid choice.

Aleksandra from Switzerland – 21 April 2025 (8/10)
The location was perfect. Just a few steps from the main street ( Kings street). The size of the flat was also very good. A separate room with TV makes the stay very comfortable. You can find everything in the flat that is needed for staying.
What could be improved: Unfortunately I am questioning the cleanliness of the flat. The shower cabin was not clean at all. Spider nets in the corner were nothing exceptional. Also some smashed insect on the wall in the kitchen I would also say would be nice to clean.Andreas from Sweden – 13 August 2024 (10/10)
Perfect location in Old Town with walking distance to most attractions. Easy check-in and check-out. The host responded quickly to all our questions. The apartment had everything we needed for our three-day stay. Please note that the apartment is located a bit high up and there is no elevator. It can also be quite noisy from the street when you're in the bedroom. But all in all, we had a very good stay, and I can definitely see myself coming back.

In the heart of the city, walking distance from major city attraction points
What could be improved: the floor makes creaking noise while walking. No lift to the apartment, will be difficult for people who are old or with disabilitiesMagdalena from United Kingdom – 14 July 2024 (9/10)
