Nadmorski Apartament Gdańsk przy plaży Overview

Nadmorski Apartament Gdańsk przy plaży is tucked right on Piastowska, just a stone’s throw from the promenade. The first thing you notice is the sea breeze that already smells like that salty tang of the Gdańsk Bay—it’s almost a promise that the waves are just outside your window. I remember arriving early in the morning, the street still quiet except for a few early‑morning joggers and the distant hum of a tram. The lobby is modest but cozy, with a little wooden table that looks like it belongs in a café, not a hotel. The staff greeted me with a friendly “Dzień dobry” and handed me a key that was actually a small card—no heavy, plastic keychain, which felt oddly comfortable.

Once inside, the apartment itself feels like a home away from home. The living area is airy, with a sofa that’s soft enough to sink into after a day of walking around the old town. The décor is a mix of modern and vintage: a hand‑painted ceramic vase from local Gdańsk artisans sits on a side table, and a framed print of the Main Town square hangs above the sofa. The kitchen is surprisingly well equipped for a short stay—there’s a small fridge, a kettle, and a coffee machine that actually works (the last time I checked, it was a common complaint that the coffee maker in this spot was a dud). The bathroom feels a bit on the quiet side, but that’s part of the charm; you can actually hear the faint ocean waves through the wall, which is a pleasant background noise.

Parking is a pain point I think a lot of travelers will understand. The building itself doesn’t have dedicated space, so you’ll need to navigate the cobblestone streets of Piastowska to find a spot. I ended up using a public lot a few blocks down, which cost a modest fee but was still a hassle in the summer heat. However, the location more than compensates for that inconvenience. Just a short walk down the promenade takes you to the beach—there are plenty of vendors selling fresh pierogi and local craft beer, and the sea itself is a refreshing dip on a hot afternoon. I also found that local cafés like “Zielony Kącik” are a short stroll away, perfect for a coffee break while you watch the sunset over the Baltic.

Check‑in was surprisingly swift. The front desk was open from 3 pm, and the staff were quick to point out the apartment’s features, and they even mentioned that the next day there would be a local festival on the nearby Gdańsk Marina, which I ended up attending. The service is consistently friendly, and they gave me a map with a few hidden spots to check out—like the small art gallery on Grójecka Street and a vintage vinyl shop on St. Catherine’s Hill. If you’re traveling in the high season, be prepared for the crowd on the beach, but if you’re visiting in early autumn, you’ll get a more relaxed vibe and still have the same great view.

Honestly, it’s one of those places that feel like you’re part of the city, not just staying in a hotel. The noise level is just right—no loud night‑clubs, just the occasional distant siren and the soft buzz of streetlights. The rooms are well ventilated, so the sea breeze that comes in through the windows is not just a small fan of air but a full-bodied reminder of the coast. And the best part? The price point is modest for a 4‑star rating, which means you can afford to stay longer or splurge on a few extra activities. I left feeling like I had found a quiet corner in Gdańsk that I’d probably be back to visit again. Nadmorski Apartament Gdańsk przy plaży is definitely a spot that locals would recommend, and I can’t wait to go back.

  • Patrycja from Poland – 6 September 2022 (8/10)

What could be improved: Dosyć skrzypiące łóżko piętrowe

  • Michał from Poland – 21 July 2022 (3/10)

    blisko Sopotu i morza.
