Maya’s Flats & Resorts 55 – GRANO RESIDENCE Pszenna 5 Overview

Maya’s Flats & Resorts 55 – GRANO RESIDENCE Pszenna 5 sits right on Pszenna street, right where the old city walls meet the modern buzz of Gdańsk. I first spotted it from the tram, the building’s bright façade popping against the gray of the cobblestones. The moment I stepped inside, the scent of fresh coffee and a hint of sea breeze from the nearby Motława river hit me – it felt like a breath of fresh air in the middle of the city. Check‑in was quick; the front desk clerk, a friendly local named Marek, already had my room number ready as I pushed through the door. No long queues, no weird paperwork – just a warm “Welcome to Maya’s Flats & Resorts 55 – GRANO RESIDENCE Pszenna 5, enjoy your stay.” He even pointed out the best spot for a morning coffee, the little café on the corner of Pszenna and Karsy, where the espresso is strong and the croissants are buttery.

The room itself is a cozy blend of industrial chic and homey comfort. The walls are painted a muted teal that makes the space feel larger, and the bed? Absolutely plush – the kind that makes you want to stay in even after a long day of exploring the old town. The bathroom has a rain shower that feels surprisingly spa‑like, and the small kitchenette comes with a kettle, a mini fridge, and a coffee maker that’s a lifesaver for late‑night espresso runs. I found the quiet surprisingly good; the building’s insulation keeps the city’s late‑night traffic from turning into a nightly lullaby. The only thing that might ruffle your nerves is the occasional construction noise on Pszenna street, but it’s usually early in the morning or late at night, and the staff is quick to turn on the white noise app if you’re sensitive to it.

What really made Maya’s Flats & Resorts 55 – GRANO RESIDENCE Pszenna 5 stand out was the little touches that only a local would notice. The hallway is lined with framed photos of Gdańsk’s historic landmarks – the Neptune Fountain, the St. Mary’s Church, and the bustling fish market – giving you a sense of place right from the start. The lobby bar is a small, intimate spot where the bartender knows your name if you’re a regular; I had a glass of white wine with a splash of lemon, and he told me the best time to visit the Stocznia Museum for fewer crowds. Parking is a breeze – there’s a small underground lot right across from the hotel, and it’s always free for guests. And if you’re a night owl, the rooftop terrace is a quiet oasis; the city lights flicker below, and you can hear the distant hum of the harbor.

Honestly, if you’re planning a trip to Gdańsk, I’d say this place is a solid choice. The vibe is relaxed yet polished, the staff are genuinely helpful, and the location is close enough to the old town to walk to the main sights, yet tucked away enough that you can actually catch a breath. Just a heads‑up: the summer months can get a bit hot, so I’d recommend using the balcony fan, but otherwise, Maya’s Flats & Resorts 55 – GRANO RESIDENCE Pszenna 5 offers a home‑away‑from‑home experience that feels both authentic and comfortable. If you’re looking for a spot that feels like a local’s favorite, this is it.

Reviews of Maya’s Flats & Resorts 55 – GRANO RESIDENCE Pszenna 5

  • Ekaterina from Sweden – 30 May 2025 (10/10)

Great location, very clean and everything you need is there! Very helpful and customer friendly service!

What could be improved: We had some problems with wifi but got help as soon as we mentioned it.

  • Khrystyna from Ukraine – 1 February 2025 (9/10)

This is one of the best apartments we've ever stayed at – comfortable, warm, elegantly furnished, perfect location near the old town and the channels, stocked with all the necessities for long-term or short-term stay. Comfortable bed, blankets – my love ))

What could be improved: We would have given it the highest rating, had it not been for the construction site right across the road in front of our windows. Construction noise and floodlights daily, from 7am (goodbye to leisurely mornings) till 6-7pm, views on the channel posted on Booking are blocked by the construction. We understand this is something beyond the administration's control, but it would be good to be prepared.
