Live & Travel Old Town Apartments Overview
First Impressions
When I first walked up to Live & Travel Old Town Apartments on Tartaczna Street, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from the name alone. But stepping inside this four-star property, you immediately get that “wow, I’m actually staying in historic Gdańsk” feeling. The building itself has this perfect blend of old-world charm and modern comfort — you know, the kind of place where original architectural details meet contemporary design without feeling forced or overdone.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s the thing about location in Gdańsk’s Old Town — you can say you’re “centrally located” all you want, but this place really delivers on that promise. I mean, you’re literally steps away from the Long Market and St. Mary’s Church, which sounds touristy but actually makes your whole stay so much easier. What I really appreciated was how quiet Tartaczna Street stays despite being right in the heart of everything. You get all the benefits of being central without the constant noise that usually comes with it, and honestly, that balance is harder to find than you’d think.
The Apartment Experience
Each apartment here feels like someone actually thought about how real people live and travel. The kitchen isn’t just some tiny afterthought — it’s properly equipped with everything you need if you want to grab fresh ingredients from the nearby markets and cook something yourself. The living spaces are generous without being wasteful, and there’s this attention to detail that shows up in unexpected places, like really good lighting and enough electrical outlets where you actually need them. I stayed in one of their larger units, and the room layout just made sense in a way that a lot of vacation rentals don’t.
Practical Perks
Let me tell you about the parking situation, because if you’re driving in Gdańsk’s Old Town, this is actually a big deal. Having private parking on-site means you’re not circling narrow medieval streets looking for a spot or worrying about parking restrictions. It’s one of those things that seems small until you really need it, and then you’re incredibly grateful. The whole check-in process was straightforward too — no unnecessary complications or confusing instructions that sometimes come with apartment stays.
Why Guests Love It
The 9.1 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here, and I can see why couples especially rate the location so highly. There’s something romantic about wandering back to your own little apartment after exploring the cobblestone streets and waterfront areas. You’re not dealing with hotel hallways or shared spaces when you want some quiet time together. Plus, having that kitchen means you can start your morning with coffee at your own pace before heading out to explore, or grab some local specialties and have an impromptu dinner without hunting for restaurant reservations. It’s that perfect mix of independence and comfort that makes you feel like you’re living in Gdańsk rather than just visiting it.
Gdansk’s apartments offer spacious accommodations with Baltic charm, perfect for families wanting to experience daily life in this historically significant Polish coastal city.

Reviews of Live & Travel Old Town Apartments
Thomas from United Kingdom – 17 May 2025 (9/10)
The facilities, location and the space was perfect for us
What could be improved: We were unlucky that the neighbours above us were throwing parties on Friday and Saturday so it was difficult for us to go bed with our son.Caroline from United Kingdom – 22 March 2025 (10/10)
Ideal location and close to everything, within walking distance to old town.
What could be improved: No toaster and curtains very thin.Christopher from Czech Republic – 11 February 2025 (10/10)
The apartment is very near to almost all attraction. It is on the 4th floor. The building has elevator. Safe area. Calm and quiet. Sebastian and the team are very nice and they always respond to the messages. The apartment is well equipped. It was a great stay and highly recommend 🙂
What could be improved: I hope the cleaner will mop / vacuum the floor thoroughly.Anna from United States – 2 January 2025 (9/10)

Clean, secure, quiet. Well furnished. Very comfy bed. Plenty of wardrobe space. Great location – close to river side and station. Great communication from owner and also got a message that we could check in 11.30 instead of 3pm which was good as we arrived early in gdansk. Fully stocked zabka shop located underneath with reasonable prices.
What could be improved: Not that we didn't like things but recommendations would be better curtains. The ones in the apartment are thin and allow light in from very early. A blind or black out ones would be ideal.
Also it was very hot. Although there was a fan in the apartment it was still very humid especially as the sun comes through all day.Caitlin from United Kingdom – 15 June 2024 (9/10)
Lovely little holiday apartment with everything you could need. Able to self check in early which was good. Would stay again.
