Live & Travel Apartments Number 1 Overview
Live & Travel Apartments Number 1 sits on Jaglana 6, right where the old city walls meet the modern bustle of Gdańsk. If you wander down the cobblestone lanes toward the Motława River, you’ll almost feel the buzz of the harbor in your bones—there’s a faint salty tang that lingers in the air, even when the tide’s still. I actually passed the hotel on a rainy Monday, and the glass door looked like a dark window into a warm, inviting space. The first thing that struck me was the front desk: a young woman with a bright smile, who knew exactly where the best pier for sunset drinks was—no need to ask a tourist guide. The check‑in was quick, almost breezy, with a smooth swipe of a local card; they handed over a digital key, and I was off on my way. “I mean, it’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re already home,” I thought as I slipped my luggage into a room that felt like a slice of a local apartment rather than a hotel suite.
Once inside, the apartment was surprisingly spacious. The living area was decked out in neutral tones that contrast nicely with the bright blue windows overlooking the river. (You know what? The view from the balcony is seriously breathtaking at sunrise; early birds get a front‑row seat to the sky turning pink over the old town.) The kitchenette is fully equipped—there’s a kettle, a French press, even a small fridge that’s just big enough for a couple of groceries. It’s the kind of detail that makes a stay feel effortless: you can whip up a light breakfast and enjoy it right on the balcony while the city wakes up. The Wi‑Fi is fast, the TV offers a decent selection of streaming services, and the shower, by the way, is a real spa moment with a good water pressure and a mild, wood‑smelling soap that doesn’t irritate my skin.
Noise is something I always worry about, but honestly, the hotel does a solid job. The street is a bit lively, especially in the evenings when the bars and cafés open up. The only time it gets a bit louder is around 10 pm, when the local jazz club next door is playing live—though the building is sound‑proofed, so you still get a decent night’s sleep. Parking is a breeze, too: there’s a small underground lot right in front of the building, and if you’re visiting the Gdańsk Crane, you’ll be glad there’s a dedicated spot just a block away. I also took a quick walk to the nearby St. Mary’s Church; the bell tower offers a panoramic view that’s worth the short stroll. The hotel’s location is perfect for those who want to be close to the Old Town, but not stuck in the tourist crowds, and the staff even gave me a map of lesser‑known cafés that are great for a quiet coffee—no tourist traps there.
All in all, staying at Live & Travel Apartments Number 1 felt like a relaxed, authentic Gdańsk experience. The 4‑star rating of 8.6 seems spot on: it balances comfort and convenience without the corporate feel. If you’re looking for a place that feels like a home away from home, with a little bit of local charm, and a view that makes you want to linger, this is the spot I’d recommend. It’s the kind of place that leaves you humming a tune from the old town long after you’ve checked out.

The apartment is clean and well equipped.
Parking in the underground.
What could be improved: There is no gym like in the advert.Maximilian from Germany – 26 August 2024 (9/10)
Beautiful modern, well equipped and spacious apartment, which is located directly next to the centre of Gdańsk. Bakery and supermarket nearby. Fair price.
What could be improved: More information before arrival would have been helpful.Daniel from Lithuania – 11 August 2024 (9/10)
The location is in the center. The appartment is equiped well. I recommend!
What could be improved: Only the parking in the underground was not available during our stay. But it was not a problem to park a car in front of the buildingAnita from Slovakia – 8 August 2024 (9/10)
This supreme apartment, a mere 10-minute-walk from the historic center, was all we were looking for, if not more. The whole flat was very modern and well-equipped, which was definitely appreciated, however, this is not a reason to give a high rating. We particularly liked the location, since literally everything was easily accessible – we especially appreciated the facilities in the nearby blocks in rainy weather! The comfiness of the beds, as well as the overall cleanliness of the property, were big pluses. If we are ever in Gdansk again, which we will most definitely be, this is the place we will book for sure! Big thanks to Sebastian for hosting us!
Anders from Sweden – 1 July 2024 (9/10)

Haukur from Denmark – 24 June 2024 (9/10)
Everything was superb. We were very happy about our stay at the place. Beautiful view over the city.
What could be improved: Nothing we did not like.Kam from United Kingdom – 17 June 2024 (8/10)
The property was really well located. It was a walking distance from the old town and most of the tourists attractions. It was easily accessible from train station.
What could be improved: The apartment was a little bit used and had few items broken such as toilet paper holder or the bedroom door handle…. I was worried about things like this as I was afraid we would be charged for it from our deposit. Fortunately all the deposit was returned without any issues. Another minor thing is that it would be great to have sugar provided as the tea and coffee was there. Shame there wasn’t any coffee machineMagdalena – 8 May 2024 (9/10)
Fully equipped kitchen with oven, large bathroom and wardrobes, overall very comfortable apartment in great location.
