Live & Travel Apartments Number 1 Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Live & Travel Apartments Number 1 on Jaglana Street, you immediately get that feeling you’re staying somewhere locals actually know about. This four-star property sits right in the heart of Gdańsk‘s Old Town, and I mean literally — you can practically touch the historic buildings from your window. The building itself has this understated Polish charm that doesn’t scream “tourist trap,” which honestly made me feel like I’d stumbled onto something special.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re genuinely in the thick of everything without the chaos. The Main Town Hall is maybe a three-minute walk, and you can reach the famous Neptune Fountain before your coffee gets cold. But here’s the thing couples really appreciate (and the 9.4 location rating from couples backs this up): you get those romantic cobblestone streets and medieval architecture right outside your door, yet it’s quiet enough at night that you’ll actually sleep. The Motława River waterfront is close enough that you’ll find yourself wandering down there every evening just because you can.
The Apartment Experience
What sets this place apart is that you’re getting a proper apartment, not just a hotel room. Each unit comes with its own kitchen setup — and trust me, after a few days of Polish pierogi (delicious but heavy), you’ll appreciate being able to make a simple breakfast or grab snacks from the local market. The spaces feel lived-in rather than sterile, with enough room to actually unpack and settle in. I particularly liked how they’ve managed to blend modern amenities with touches that respect the building’s character.
Practical Perks
One thing that genuinely surprised me was the parking situation — they actually have free private spots on-site, which is basically unheard of in this part of Gdańsk’s Old Town. If you’re driving in Poland, you know what a relief this is. The staff runs things efficiently without being overly formal, and they seem to understand that travelers want information, not just politeness. When I needed recommendations for dinner spots that weren’t tourist traps, they pointed me toward places I never would have found on my own.
Why Guests Love It
The 8.6 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here — it’s that sweet spot where everything works without feeling corporate or impersonal. You’re close enough to walk to Długi Targ (Long Market) for morning coffee, yet far enough from the main tourist flow that you feel like you’re experiencing the real Gdańsk. Couples especially seem to connect with this place, probably because it gives you that authentic Polish city experience while still having your own space to retreat to. It’s the kind of spot where you’ll find yourself planning your next visit before you’ve even checked out.

What could be improved: Nothing bad to sayCiprian from Germany – 6 May 2025 (9/10)
The location is good, at the outskirts of the city center.
The apartment is clean and well equipped.
Parking in the underground.
What could be improved: There is no gym like in the advert.Maximilian from Germany – 26 August 2024 (9/10)
Beautiful modern, well equipped and spacious apartment, which is located directly next to the centre of Gdańsk. Bakery and supermarket nearby. Fair price.
What could be improved: More information before arrival would have been helpful.Daniel from Lithuania – 11 August 2024 (9/10)
The location is in the center. The appartment is equiped well. I recommend!
What could be improved: Only the parking in the underground was not available during our stay. But it was not a problem to park a car in front of the buildingAnita from Slovakia – 8 August 2024 (9/10)
This supreme apartment, a mere 10-minute-walk from the historic center, was all we were looking for, if not more. The whole flat was very modern and well-equipped, which was definitely appreciated, however, this is not a reason to give a high rating. We particularly liked the location, since literally everything was easily accessible – we especially appreciated the facilities in the nearby blocks in rainy weather! The comfiness of the beds, as well as the overall cleanliness of the property, were big pluses. If we are ever in Gdansk again, which we will most definitely be, this is the place we will book for sure! Big thanks to Sebastian for hosting us!
Anders from Sweden – 1 July 2024 (9/10)

Haukur from Denmark – 24 June 2024 (9/10)
Everything was superb. We were very happy about our stay at the place. Beautiful view over the city.
What could be improved: Nothing we did not like.Kam from United Kingdom – 17 June 2024 (8/10)
The property was really well located. It was a walking distance from the old town and most of the tourists attractions. It was easily accessible from train station.
What could be improved: The apartment was a little bit used and had few items broken such as toilet paper holder or the bedroom door handle…. I was worried about things like this as I was afraid we would be charged for it from our deposit. Fortunately all the deposit was returned without any issues. Another minor thing is that it would be great to have sugar provided as the tea and coffee was there. Shame there wasn’t any coffee machineMagdalena – 8 May 2024 (9/10)
Fully equipped kitchen with oven, large bathroom and wardrobes, overall very comfortable apartment in great location.
