The bathroom, though not huge, is thoughtfully stocked: high‑quality shampoo, a plush bathrobe, and those tiny, candles that smell like fresh bread from the bakery on Świdermajer. Noise is manageable—there’s a subtle hum of traffic, but the building’s solid walls keep the rest at bay. I did notice the kitchen area in the back a bit echoey, but that’s just the typical vibe of an old building.

Dining on the premises is hit or miss— the breakfast spread is decent, but it’s the nearby cafés that really steal the show. I’d say the best morning spot is the little place on Księży Młyn Street, where the coffee is strong and the pastries are flaky enough to crack on the first bite. For lunch, I took the elevator up to the rooftop terrace (yes, it’s a double‑level lift—old-school but charming) and had a sandwich while watching the sunset over the Motława. The terrace also offers a panoramic view of the medieval city walls—perfect for a quick photo break. Parking can be a hassle: street parking is limited, but there’s a paid lot a short walk away that’s usually empty after noon. If you’re traveling during the summer festivals, expect crowds on the square, but the hotel’s location keeps you close enough to step into a quiet alley or a corner café whenever you need a breather. Overall, Liberum Residence Old Town feels like a home base that lets you soak in the real Gdańsk vibe without the tourist trap feel.

  Perfect location, at the entrance of the main door of the city center. Walking distance to the Forum shopping center, bus and tram stops, 13 min by walk to the train station, 5 minutes walk to the riverwalk. Amazing welcoming staff also with home made cake bites offered from the staff at the reception. Clean quiet room. I will definitely going back.
