Lawendowa 2-3 Gdańsk Overview

Lawendowa 2-3 Gdańsk is tucked into a quiet corner of the city, just a stone’s throw from the bustling Gdańsk Main Railway Station and the historic Old Town. When I first walked up the narrow, cobblestone street, a gentle scent of fresh bread wafted from the bakery at the corner—my first hint that I was in the right part of town. The building itself is a charming mix of 1930s art deco and modern touches: the façade still carries that slightly weathered stucco, but the floor-to-ceiling windows on the lobby floor let in a flood of natural light that makes the space feel airy instead of cramped. Check‑in was a breeze, with the front desk staff—who have been there longer than the hotel itself—quickly pulling up my reservation and offering a map with handwritten notes about the best spots to hit before the city lights dim.

Inside the rooms, the décor leans toward understated elegance. The beds come with those luxuriously soft linens I’ve always loved, and the pillows are just the right firmness for a good night’s sleep after a day of sightseeing. I mean, you can’t have a decent hotel in Gdańsk that doesn’t have a decent bed, right? The bathroom is surprisingly spacious, with a rain‑shower that feels almost spa‑like, and there’s a small, fragrant lavender sachet tucked in the corner of the nightstand—proving that the hotel’s name is not just a marketing ploy but a genuine touch of something local. The Wi‑Fi is reliable, and the TV comes with a decent selection of international channels, which is handy if you’re traveling with family and need a break from the constant looping of tourist ads. The noise level is pretty low, except for the occasional distant rumble of a tram that passes by the street—nothing too disruptive, just a subtle reminder that you’re in a city that’s alive.

The real charm of Lawendowa 2-3 Gdańsk lies in its proximity to a few hidden gems that only locals know about. Just a short walk east, you’ll find the tiny, tucked‑away café “Café Casablanca,” where the barista knows your name and the menu changes daily to reflect the freshest local produce. If you want to explore the waterfront, a 15‑minute stroll will bring you to the marina, where you can watch the boats bob in the early morning light—perfect for a quiet moment before the city wakes up. For those of you who love history, the nearby “Hala Stulecia” is only a block away and offers a fascinating blend of industrial architecture and art exhibitions. Parking can be a bit of a hunt; street parking is free but limited, so I usually lock up my bike outside the hotel and walk the rest of the way. Oh, and if you’re traveling during the peak summer season, be prepared for the air conditioner to kick in at 3 a.m. to keep the rooms cool—something that’s not mentioned in the generic reviews but makes a huge difference in the night heat.

In short, Lawendowa 2-3 Gdańsk feels like a home base that’s both comfortable and conveniently located. The staff’s friendly, almost familial tone, the thoughtful touches in the rooms, and the easy access to both the bustling city center and quiet, local spots make it a standout choice for anyone wanting to experience Gdańsk beyond the usual tourist trail. I’d say that staying here feels like a secret you’re excited to share with your friends—because honestly, it’s one of those places you only know because you’ve lived the experience.

Exploring Gdansk offers visitors an unforgettable journey through Poland’s maritime heart, from its magnificent Gothic churches to its amber workshops and legendary shipyards where Solidarity was born.

  • Laura from Latvia – 9 March 2025 (8/10)

Nice apartmant and a very nice host who let us to stay a bit longer on the last day.

What could be improved: There are no shampoo, shower gel and kitchen towels. And i found dust in the bed on the pillow

  • Ewa from Poland – 4 December 2024 (9/10)

Lokalizacja jest fantastyczna. Bardzo blisko do Neptuna, a jednoczenie mniejszy tłum.
    Kamienicą klimatyczna

What could be improved: Chyba nie ma takiej rzeczy.

  • Krzysztof from United Kingdom – 11 November 2024 (10/10)

Blisko do centrum i punktów zwiedzania . Do koła pełno restauracji regionalnych i świata. Zapraszamy serdecznie do tego apartamentu. Kontakt z wynajmującym bez problemu . Pozdrawiam mamy w planie wrócić ponownie.

    What could be improved: Btak

  • Loreta from Lithuania – 9 September 2024 (10/10)

The property is big, in the city centre. Clean and very comfortable! We very enjoyed staying there.

  • Radka from Czech Republic – 2 September 2024 (10/10)

We loved the apartment, location, great communication. We would love to come back again.

  • Viktoriia from Ukraine – 22 July 2024 (10/10)

The location is very convenient: not far from the railway station and very close to the city's destinations.
The apartments are very clean and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owner responded quickly to messages, so if necessary, information could be clarified in a short period of time.
Special thanks for the walking map with tourist attractions of the city – it is a very useful thing!

What could be improved: The bathroom door (defective locking mechanism), thin walls (you could hear the neighbors) and the view from the window (not very picturesque). But these are small things, in general we were satisfied.

  • Meelis from Estonia – 11 July 2023 (9/10)

Very simple. Everything was prepared and communicated to us in advance.

  • Justina from Lithuania – 1 July 2023 (9/10)

    Very good location

    What could be improved: –

  • Luis from Spain – 3 January 2023 (7/10)

    The location is great

What could be improved: The smaller room is behind the bigger one, so you can access to it only bé passing throug the "Big" room. (So if in the middle of the night who is sleeping in the small room needs to go to the toilet, he/she has to walk through the big room.
At the arrive, we found a sheet hanging on the coat rack… Seems that it was not dry after it was washed.
To take into account also that you receive only one towel per person.. So you don't receive a hand towel.
The big bed sounds a lot.

  • Simon from Spain – 8 July 2022 (10/10)

Very central location yet still quiet at night

    Very clean apartment

What could be improved: No working door to main bedroom
