La Petite APARTMENTS Overview
La Petite APARTMENTS sits tucked between the cobblestones of 8 Jacka Malczewskiego and the bustling market of Stary Rynek, just a quick walk from the old port where the old fishing boats still hang in the salt‑scented air. The first thing you notice when you step out of the building is the smell of freshly baked rye bread drifting from the nearby wypiekarnia on Ulica Piotrkowska – a real local treat. I remember the moment I tried the pierogi right out front, the dough still warm, the filling a perfect mix of mushrooms and onions that made me think of grandma’s kitchen. The apartment itself is a cozy 3‑bedroom unit, good size for a small family or a couple who wants a bit of extra space to stretch out after a day of sightseeing. The windows open onto a small balcony that’s quiet enough to hear the distant hum of the city yet close enough to feel the warmth of the afternoon sun.
The check‑in process was surprisingly smooth – the front desk was staffed by a friendly young woman who was more than happy to talk about the best hidden spots in Gdańsk. She pointed out the little trattoria on Gdańsk’s street that serves the best seafood risotto, and how just past the library you can find a small café that serves espresso with a hint of cardamom – a sweet surprise, honestly. Parking is a bit of a hunt; there’s a municipal lot two blocks away that’s usually full during the summer, so I ended up using a small private parking spot on the street, which was a bit pricey but worth the convenience. Noise at night is minimal, thanks to the thick walls and the fact that the building is tucked away from the main tourist arteries – you can actually hear the sea breeze through the windows sometimes, which is a nice touch. The only gripe I had was that the bathroom tiles were a little worn, but that’s a minor detail that doesn’t really affect the overall stay.
If you’re in Gdańsk during the busy July–August season, you’ll find that the area around La Petite APARTMENTS can get a little crowded, especially when the street performers start setting up near the old town square. But the locals know how to keep the vibe calm; there’s a small park a block away where you can sit on a bench, watch the kids play, and enjoy the mix of old and new architecture. For those who love a little adventure, the nearby Sopot pier is a quick 20‑minute walk from the hotel, and the night market on Gdańsk’s street offers a mix of handcrafted souvenirs and street food that’s worth a stroll. I mean, the whole area feels like a storybook – the cobblestones, the historic facades, the salty sea air – it’s all part of the charm that makes La Petite APARTMENTS a standout choice for anyone looking to experience real Gdańsk. The apartment itself is clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped, but what really sticks with me is the sense of being part of a living neighborhood rather than just a tourist stop. If you’re after a place that feels like a home away from home, this is the spot where the locals would actually recommend you stay, especially if you’re planning to explore the old town’s hidden corners and want to wake up to the sounds of the city rather than a hotel lobby.

There were no keys in the box. Waited 1.5 h outside to finally get the keys. They offered me a different room but when I got there it was already occupied!

Nice location, clean and comfortable.
Close to public transport and local food shop.Garrett from United States – 18 August 2024 (2/10)
What could be improved: Floors were dirty and it was hot inside. The 2 double beds were just pushed together. For the price there are much better options in my opinion

Esthetic apartment, clean, comfortable. Responsive owners. Safe private garage. Not far from old centre, just enough to avoid the crowds.

My recent visit to Gdansk was made even more enjoyable thanks to my stay at this flat. I spent a night here with friends, and overall, it was a memorable experience.
The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained. Although they were on the smaller side, they were cozy and had all the necessary amenities. The beds were comfortable, and we had a good night's sleep.
The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Gdansk. It's close to the main attractions, which made it easy for us to explore the city on foot. The Old Town and the waterfront were just a short stroll away.
Overall, our stay at this hotel contributed to a wonderful experience in Gdansk. It may not have been the most luxurious hotel, but it offered good value for the price we paid. If you're looking for a comfortable and well-located option in the city, this hotel is worth considering.Valiantsina from Poland – 3 October 2023 (8/10)
Nice location is not so far from the Old town , a little shop is right near the house , private parking place
Saulius from Lithuania – 8 July 2023 (9/10)
Great location, everything within walking distance, close to the main station, modern room in a new neighborhood with a spacious bathub and a big balcony, shade from the trees, gated community, free parking in a garage, children playground, local food store "biedronka" just around the corner, very friendly and helpful owner, had some tips while staying in Gdansk, all of them where worth it. All in all, an excellent stay.
What could be improved: Queen bed made of two separate beds, not quite comfy.Pawel from Poland – 29 June 2023 (9/10)
Nice clean and cosy

Relatively quiet location, about an 8-minute walk for me to the mall which is then right by the Old Town. Convenience store is right outside the gate. Very friendly and accomodating owner, Wojtek, offered me airport pick-up in the middle of the night. The balcony in apartment 3 was fenced with walls and bushes so it felt really private and enjoyable to sit outside. Good, modern and absolutely cozy facilities. I would most likely stay here again next time around.
To Wojtek: There IS a Netflix app on the TV so apparently it's not that very old like you said. 👍🙂
What could be improved: Generally the whole apartment looked very clean. But the dishwashing sponge should be replaced after every guest(s) no matter how short their stay is for hygienic purposes, as it also was most definitely well used and smelled. Other than that, it was a great accomodation.
