KORONA Apartamenty Gdańsk Overview
KORONA Apartamenty Gdańsk sits on 12B Rajska, smack in the heart of the Old Town, so when I walked in, I felt like I’d stepped straight into a postcard. The lobby is this cozy little space with a wooden bar that looks like it’s been there since the 1920s, and the staff—oh, they’re all locals who actually know the ins and outs of the city. The reception was quick, but they made sure I got a map with the best hidden spots, like that tiny café on Długi Targ that serves the best pierogi you’ll ever taste. You know, the kind with a buttery crust that just melts? Honestly, that was a highlight.
When I checked into my apartment, I was surprised by how spacious it felt—like a tiny hotel suite in a city apartment. The view from the balcony? Just a few cobblestones away from St. Mary’s Church, and you can hear the distant bells chime every hour. The room’s decor is a mix of modern and traditional: a plush sofa that’s actually super comfortable, a small kitchenette that lets you whip up a quick snack, and a bathroom with a deep soaking tub—perfect for unwinding after a day of tram rides. The floor plan is practical; there’s a dedicated workspace with a desk that’s quiet enough to write emails, even during the busiest tourist season. Oh, and the Wi-Fi is fast, which is a relief because you can’t rely on spotty connections in the Old Town.
Parking is a bit of a story. The building itself doesn’t have a parking lot, but there’s a small underground garage on nearby Czapla Street that costs a modest fee. The key is that the garage is a short walk from the hotel, and you usually find a spot without the usual scramble of tourists. Noise-wise, the apartment is in a quieter block, but if you’re staying during the summer, you’ll hear the chatter of people at the nearby Gdańsk Marina—there’s a nice blend of sea breeze and distant music. In winter, the streets get hushed, and you can actually hear the faint crackle of the heating system. Check‑in was smooth; the staff gave a quick tour of the building’s security system and told me about the best times to visit the local market on Złota Street—those stalls are a sensory overload of fresh produce and spices, especially early in the morning. I mean, if you’re into that kind of thing, it’s worth it.
The location itself is unbeatable if you want to be in the thick of it. You’re literally steps away from the bustling Market Square, and the tram stops on the adjacent street are just a two‑minute walk. I walked to the nearby “Café 44” for coffee—had a latte that was so creamy you could almost taste the history in it. And when the day winds down, the quiet cafés on the side streets let you sip a glass of Polish wine while watching the sunset over the Motława River. There’s even a small park, Szeroka, within a block, where you can sit on a bench and watch the pigeons—simple, but it’s the kind of peace that makes you feel like you’re at home. Overall, KORONA Apartamenty Gdańsk is the kind of place that feels like a well‑kept secret that you’re lucky to discover, and I’ve already recommended it to every friend who’s planning a trip to Gdańsk.
Gdansk’s hotels showcase the perfect blend of Hanseatic tradition and modern comfort, with many featuring maritime tour services and authentic Polish coastal hospitality.

What could be improved: BrakAlexandra from Kyrgyzstan – 8 September 2024 (1/10)
The location is good
What could be improved: The bed is a disaster, mattress is too soft, your body is in pain after couple of hours. The shower is very bad, you can get a very hot water after several mins or you get cold one, no middle. Also every time you turn off the water you need to wait for several mins to get the how water. Also the apartment was not very clean and the host doesn’t respond to messages or calls, total ignorVeronika from Czech Republic – 23 August 2024 (8/10)
Very nice apartment with fully equipped kitchen.
What could be improved: Not so comfortable bed.
Unfortunately we had bad experience with private parking, after one day parking we had a notice, that we should report to the police 🙁Sabīne from Latvia – 16 July 2024 (8/10)
Really great location, very close to the central railway station and relatively easy to find. The apartment was clean, spacious, and equipped with all necessary — there are items for cooking, a washing machine, dishwasher etc.
Rada from Poland – 18 September 2023 (9/10)
– The host is very responsive.
– Location. It takes you only 10 mins by walk to reach the Old Town. The railway station is also very close.
– Equipment. The apartment has a microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, iron, hairdryer, etc., so it's pretty fine for a long stay. But bring your own washing chemicals.
– Look and feel. The overall impression is good. It even smells pleasant in the apartment.
What could be improved: – This is the last (4th) floor in the building with no elevator. Be prepared for it if you have heavy bags.
– Sleeping was uncomfortable for us:
1. The bed is very squeaky and too soft.
2. You cannot fully close the curtains in the bedroom to sleep in the dark.
3. The "quiet hours" rule was ignored by our floor neighbors: they came back home in the middle of the night and were knocking on the door and speaking in the corridor very loudly. Unfortunately, this woke us up at both nights. I guess they were also guests.Thomas from Netherlands – 8 June 2023 (9/10)
The place was great and spacious. There were all kinds of items to use for cooking, and there was a full sized couch.
What could be improved: Not particularly beyond expectation, but: the apartment is on the 4/5th floor. It grants a nice view, but can be a strain if you have a lot of luggage, since there is no elevator. That wasn't a problem for us:)Neringa from Lithuania – 26 August 2022 (9/10)
The apartment is nicely furnished, very clean, there are all things for your comfort. Good place to stay, nearby attractions, cafes, shops.
