Ideal Apartments Green & Blue Overview
Ideal Apartments Green & Blue sits tucked on Panieńska 3/3, right in the heart of Gdańsk’s old town, just a stone’s throw from the bustling Złota Street and the historic St. Mary’s Church. From the moment I stepped out of the elevator, the scent of freshly baked pierogi wafted from the nearby market, and the clatter of the city’s tram sounded like a friendly backdrop. I remember the first night, the apartment’s balcony offered a perfect view of the river, and I could hear the distant waves crashing against the Old Town Walls – a surprisingly soothing soundtrack after a long day of exploring.
Check‑in was a breeze: the front desk staff greeted me with a warm smile and handed over a key card that glowed like a little beacon, promising a hassle‑free stay. The lounge area was tastefully decorated, blending modern design with rustic wooden accents that echo Gdańsk’s maritime heritage. I could almost see the old fishermen’s boats when I looked at the framed photographs of the harbor. The staff were friendly, offering a free guidebook that like the quirky art café on Młyńska Street and the secret garden behind the St. Mary’s Gate. In the mornings, I’d wake up to the gentle hum of the city, but if you’re a light sleeper, the apartment’s insulated windows do a pretty good job of muffling the occasional night traffic.
The apartment itself is spacious – the living area flows into an open kitchen where you can cook a quick meal and still have space to sit and chat with a friend. The bed is surprisingly comfortable, with linens that feel like a hug. I appreciated the small touches: a set of local Polish soaps, a small herb garden on the windowsill, and a tiny jar of honey from a nearby beekeeper. The bathroom, though compact, is spotless and stocked with a generous amount of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash – all packaged in eco‑friendly bottles that feel both luxurious and responsible.
Parking in Gdańsk can be a nightmare, but Ideal Apartments Green & Blue offers a discreet parking space a few blocks away, which is a real lifesaver. The spot is on a private street, so you don’t have to fight for a spot on the crowded city streets. The price is reasonable for a 4‑star establishment, and honestly, it’s a small price to pay for peace of mind. I found that the noise level inside the apartment is nearly silent; the only interruption is the occasional distant chatter from the neighboring building, which is hardly a disturbance. And if you’re traveling during the busy summer months, you’ll notice that the hotel’s proximity to the Old Town means you’re never far from the action – just a 5‑minute walk from the bustling market square, where street performers and local musicians fill the air with music.
One thing I’d mention, because it matters when you’re planning a trip, is that the front desk is open 24 hours, which is super convenient if you’re arriving late or departing early. The hotel’s staff seem genuinely interested in making your stay comfortable, and they’re quick to respond to any small requests. In terms of amenities, they have a small fitness center and a tiny sauna – not a full‑blown spa, but good enough for a quick steam after a day of walking. The Wi‑Fi is reliable, though I had to type in the password twice on my first night – a minor hiccup that didn’t affect my stay.
If you’re looking for a place that feels like home yet still offers the convenience of a 4‑star hotel, Ideal Apartments Green & Blue is the spot. It’s a blend of comfort, local flavor, and practical perks that will make your Gdańsk adventure feel effortless. From the aromatic pierogi to the quiet nights and easy parking, every element comes together to create a stay that feels both personal and well‑thought‑out. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to experience Gdańsk in a relaxed, authentic way – and yes, the price is right for the quality you get.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Gdansk at least two months ahead for major events like St. Dominic’s Fair, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near historic attractions.

We enjoyed our stay, we had a long 48 hours of international flights and our host kindly allowed us to check in early which was very much appreciated! Cute little appartment with everything you need for a short stay for one/two people 🙂

What could be improved: The kitchen draw didn’t appear to have many utensils , needed a corkscrew which we could find so had to improviseMark from United Kingdom – 9 December 2024 (9/10)

Lovely communicationEvgeniya from Czech Republic – 9 March 2024 (9/10)
The apartment was very nice and clean, equipped with everything we needed. It is located in a quiet area, but still really close to all the attractions in town. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book it again in the future.
What could be improved: We had a minor issue with the key arrangement during check-in. We were informed that the keys would be available at the reception upon our arrival. But it seems that there had been a miscommunication with the security personnel, who, unfortunately was not aware of our arrival. We tried to reach the host by phone, but unsuccessfully.
After 15 minutes of trying to explain that we have a reservation and showing the security guard our booking confirmation we finally got the keys. But the security guard was very unsure about handing them over, and clearly situation was very uncomfortable for him as well. Due to the language difference, communication overall was challenging.
While ultimately the situation was resolved, it was quite inconvenient. Perhaps there could be a more organized approach in the future, especially considering a language barrier.Martsin from Poland – 18 June 2023 (8/10)
Good value for the price. All we could possibly need was there.
What could be improved: TV is in very weird position, not able to watch from bed, neither from the couch. Shower is half broken.
Major issue is the zero floor and windows to the street. We woke up to the loud pedestrian noises. Also not able to open windows with lights on because of many mosquitoes going into the flat. (A LOT of blood marks on walls and ceiling from the killed mosquitoes)Jalyl from United Kingdom – 28 May 2023 (9/10)
It was very clean . We loved the coffee pods .
