Horyzont Overview

Horyzont sits on the quiet stretch of 25 Obrońców Wybrzeża, a street that’s more famous for its old wooden houses than its hotels. I remember walking up the cobblestones, the smell of fresh rye bread drifting from a bakery on the corner, and the gentle hum of the Baltic Sea in the distance. The lobby greets you with a surprisingly warm vibe – a mix of modern minimalism and that old‑world charm you’d expect in Gdańsk. The staff check you in with a quick smile and a tablet, and honestly, they’re more like friendly locals than hotel clerks. “You’re staying in the south wing, right?” they ask, pointing to a map that’s almost a piece of street art. I mean, the concierge knows the best spots for pierogi and the best times to catch a sunset over Motława.

When you step into your room, the first thing you notice is the view. A balcony that overlooks the Old Town’s skyline, with the spires of St. Mary’s Church peeking through the clouds. The bed is that kind of buttery comfort that makes you think, “I could stay here forever.” The linens feel like a soft whisper, and the window blinds are built to keep the city’s nighttime buzz at bay – I did hear the faint clatter of trams and a distant church bell at 11:30 pm, but it’s mostly a lullaby. The bathroom is a tiny sanctuary, with a rain shower that feels like a gentle rain in the city’s summer heat, and plush towels that still smell faintly of lavender. The Wi‑Fi is a bit spotty on the higher floors, but that’s hardly a deal‑breaker when you’re more interested in the city outside.

Parking is a lifesaver. The hotel’s underground lot is just a few steps from your door, and the attendants have a knack for finding a spot for you in a matter of minutes – no “first come, first served” drama. The only downside? The parking fee is a tad steep, but it’s nothing compared to the convenience. As for noise, the hotel’s proximity to the city center means you’ll hear the distant chatter of tourists and the occasional street performer on St. Mariacka. If you’re a light sleeper, I’d recommend the east wing, where the walls are thicker and the noise is muffled. On the bright side, the restaurant offers a breakfast spread that’s surprisingly local – think cinnamon rolls from a nearby bakery and coffee that’s stronger than your usual tourist spots. The staff even recommend a short walk to the medieval street market on the weekend, where you can snag fresh fish and talk to the vendors about their day.

All in all, Horyzont feels like that friendly neighbor you’ve always wanted. It’s not a luxury palace; it’s a cozy, well‑thought‑out place that knows its city. The only thing that could improve the experience is a more consistent Wi‑Fi connection, but honestly, you’ll be too busy exploring the cobblestone streets, the art galleries, and the historic harbor to notice. If you’re planning a trip to Gdańsk, this place is a solid choice – especially if you value a blend of modern comfort and the authentic pulse of a city that truly lives and breathes on every corner.

To book a hotel in Gdansk during major Baltic festivals, travelers need early planning as this historic Hanseatic city draws visitors eager to experience its amber heritage and shipyard history.

    – The view of the apartment i think it's the best in Gdansk ,
Every room in the apartment has a window or balcony with a view to the park and sea
-The apartment is with a big space, and it's prepared with everything you might need in the kitchen or the bathroom
Also, there is a washing machine
    – the building is relatively new
    – and the area is in a good location where you can reach the beach in 15 minutes walk through the park
And it's between gdansk and sopot so that you can reach both cities in 15 minutes

    – under the building, there is a supermarket and a backery where you can find all that you might need
    – and the best of all is the apartment owner , he is so helpful man ,very responsive and so friendly and you feel that you are in a good hands with him ,whatever you need he will help you with it

So the summary if you want to visit gdansk and sopot and you need a big apartment with extraordinary view that's gonna be your best choice

Many thanks again for the owner, and we will be visiting for sure in the future 😀 😁
