The street itself—ul. Jaglana—has that classic Gdańsk vibe with its cobblestones, a mix of older brick buildings and newer cafés. I walked past the little indie bookstore on the corner, which is a favorite among locals for its handwritten poetry collection, and then onto the market square where the vendors are selling fresh pierogi and hand‑made pierogi in the morning rush. If you’re looking for a place to grab a coffee, the tiny espresso bar on the next block has the best latte in town, and they know the regulars by name. The vibe is relaxed; you can sit on the terrace, sip a glass of local white wine, and watch the sunrise over the harbor. For those who need to get a little work done, the hotel’s common area has decent power outlets and a decent amount of natural light—nothing too fancy, but it’s enough to power your laptop without the Wi‑Fi hiccup that some bigger chains have.

The rooms at Hopfen by Little Heaven – Wyspa Spichrzów are what I’d call cozy yet functional. The mattress is a bit firmer than what I’m used to, but there’s a plush throw that makes the bed feel inviting.   Great location, 7/8 mins walk into the old town, close to tram stop from the markets/forum shopping centre, quiet apartment block, no road noise and there is shops within the complex. Great for a few night stay!!
  
  What could be improved: Instructions to find the block wasn’t easy, lots of apartment blocks next to each other, wasn’t clear which one it was and we walked round the whole “complex” a few times. One of the pillows were very lumpy and needed replacing, there wasn’t another pillow in the cupboard.

  The apartment was really good with good facilities. The room size was good.

  Exceptional location, less than 10 mins walk to the city centre. You can walk by the canal or by the road to reach the centre. Lovely and quiet 1-bed apartment with a nice sized bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom, and balcony. Balcony gets the morning sun so was great to have breakfast outdoors overlooking the river, watching the kayakers going pass on the river. Lovely firm bed, nice shower with good water pressure. Kitchen stocked with basic utensils like mugs, glasses, plates, cutlery etc. Instructions were clear for key pick up and we could leave our bags at their office which was also about 10 mins away (and in turn 3 mins from city centre). Hosts were really helpful via WhatsApp.
  
  What could be improved: 1. The cleanliness is only 8/9, which could be a perfect 10 if the cleaner paid better attention to details by hoovering up hair left from previous occupants. Found this in various parts of the flat, (eg behind little pillows of the sofa, under bedroom pillows which was off-putting as pillowcases/sheets should be fresh).
  2. If there could be places to put toiletries like a small shelf or caddy in the bathroom, that would be much better. We were balancing things precariously. Small sachets of shower gel/shampoo provided so best to bring own.
  3. This point isn't the Hosts' fault – You might be unfortunate to get loud idiots as neighbours drinking, shouting till the early hours. The double glazing is fab but isn't totally drunk-idiot-proof. Light sleepers might want earplugs. Quiet times are from 10pm to 6am which isn't respected by some.
