GRANO FLATS Gdańsk – Garden Gates City Centre Overview
GRANO FLATS Gdańsk – Garden Gates City Centre sits right on the edge of Długie Ogrody, just a stone‑throw away from the bustling market square and the historic Gdańsk Crane. I arrived on a late‑afternoon tram, the city’s old charm already in the air, and the staff at the lobby were already waving me in—quick, friendly, and they even remembered my name from my last stay. Check‑in was a breeze, no long lines, just a quick scan of my ID and a digital key that popped into my phone. I’m telling you, the front desk feels like a local café, not a corporate hotel. Parking is a bit of a hunt on the street, but there’s a small paid lot just down the block that’s enough for my compact car, and the hotel offers a free secure parking space if you book a room in advance—good to know if you’re planning a day of exploring the old town at noon.
My room was a cozy 15 square meters of thoughtful design, or as the staff put it, “a tiny sanctuary.” The bed was the kind that makes you feel like you’re sinking into a cloud (I swear, you literally feel the mattress give a bit on you). The window looks out onto a patch of Długie Ogrody, so you get that lush, green backdrop while the city’s sounds filter in—trams clanging, distant bells from St. Mary’s Cathedral, and the occasional shout from street vendors. The kitchenette is surprisingly well‑equipped: a tiny fridge, a kettle that boils super fast, and a set of foil‑wrapped croissants from the local bakery that I bought on the way in. I spent a quiet evening in front of the flat‑screen TV, but the real treat was the in‑room mini‑bar—no, seriously, the selection of local craft beer and a decent bottle of Polish white wine made for a perfect nightcap. The bathroom had that warm, frothy bath and a generous amount of soap that smelled like fresh lavender—something you don’t usually find in a hotel. The Wi‑Fi was stable, but I was more tempted to step out onto the balcony and listen to the city than I was to stare at the screen.
Walking out is a real adventure. The hotel is only a two‑minute stroll to the heart of the Old Town—St. Mary’s Church, the Royal Way (Ulica Królewska) with its pastel‑painted facades, and the Gdańsk Crane, which is just a few steps away. I actually spent the morning exploring the hidden alleyways of the Motława River, where the

Great location of the apartment, very comfortable beds, convenient kitchen, everything is great, we recommend it to everyone 🥰🥰🥰
What could be improved: The only downside is that the TV doesn't have internet access, we wanted to turn on some music.Dovilė from Lithuania – 19 August 2024 (9/10)
The location is absolutely perfect—just a short walk to the city center and right near the river and easy access to everything.
The apartment itself is incredibly cozy and comes with all the essentials, from a fully-equipped kitchen to comfortable furniture.
Overall, I highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a well-located, comfortable, and fully-equipped place to stay. It truly exceeded my expectations!Šarūnas from Lithuania – 18 November 2023 (9/10)
Very spacious, warm. Good Internet, perfect location to explore gdansk old town by foot. And even biedronka next door. Free Parking space is a plus, and the appartment itself very quiet.
What could be improved: The tv did not show all the channels, but we found the cartoon channel for kids, so the day was saved 😊Ilsay01803 from United Kingdom – 13 August 2023 (9/10)
Loved location & nice modern apartment, lift & balcony. Antique market right outside was a bonus. Good facilities, everything you could need for a stay
What could be improved: Just a couple of minor issues in bathroom with sink plug stuck down & large shower head needing maintenance. A tea towel, corkscrew & a toaster would have been handyLasitsa from Ukraine – 6 August 2023 (7/10)
What could be improved: Instructions were received late, room was not ready, there was no toilet paper in the room, coffee machine without coffee tabs
Ewa from United Kingdom – 22 May 2023 (9/10)
Near to old city center and shops, free parking
What could be improved: Ther was information about using towels only for body but ther was Not dishcloth for kitchenUrtė from Lithuania – 21 May 2023 (8/10)
Perfect location (3 minutes from the old town). There are a lot of stores near the apartment. Room is very light, bed is comfortable. Convenient parking.
What could be improved: Lack of basic kitchen supplies (sponge, olive oil, peppers). Shower was not properly working.Paulius from Lithuania – 21 February 2023 (9/10)
Good location, newly equipped apartments, clean and tidy. A big advantage is a private parking space.
What could be improved: The sofa for sleeping could have been more comfortable.Vladyslav from Ukraine – 11 December 2022 (9/10)
Great flat and perfect location
Wr from Ireland – 2 August 2022 (3/10)
Views, underground parking , quiet at night as we could sleep well, comfortable bed and sofa bed, fresh and good quality towels and linen. Good location. All the appliances worked well.
What could be improved: No deep cleaning was done, grease in the kitchen and dust on the furnitures.
Kitchen
It was very dirty with fingerprints on the furnitures from previous guests, very damaged sink.
Living room
Large stains on the sofa, dirty carpet and under the carpet, we had to roll it and por on the side for our own health.
There is no table for 4 people to eat in the flat. Just one person can eat on the kitchen counter and another on a little auxiliar table in the livingroom, the other table shown on the pictures is not there anymore.
Toilet
Tap doesn't work well, shower tap is damaged, taps and shower need descale. Just one toilet paper for 4 people, 4 nights. No washing up liquid, just 1 tablet for the dishwasher and 1 bag for the rubbish.
Balcony
Dirty, chairs are very wasted.
Pictures from booking.com are from about 4 years ago when the apartment was new, now it is used and damaged but no repaired or with a good maintenance. This is a pity because the apartment is very nice. Overall we had a nice stay.
Check in was a bad experience as we got wrong indications to access when we called to the office and in booking.com they give wrong indication on the map, also we did not get correct info of where it was the main entrance, I asked all that in advance, on top of that it was the Dominikan week that made everything more complicated.
