Grand Tourist Gemini II Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Grand Tourist Gemini II on Św. Ducha street, you immediately get that feeling you’ve landed somewhere special. The building itself has this understated elegance that fits perfectly with Gdańsk’s historic charm — it’s not trying too hard, but you can tell this is a four-star property that knows what it’s doing. The entrance feels welcoming without being overly formal, and honestly, the staff greets you like they’re genuinely happy you’re there.

Location That Actually Matters

Here’s the thing about this hotel’s location — it’s not just “central,” it’s actually in the real heart of the Old Town where you want to be. I mean, you can walk to the famous Neptune Fountain and Long Market in about three minutes, and the medieval crane (you know, the one that’s on every Gdańsk postcard) is practically around the corner. What I really appreciated was being able to duck back to the hotel easily between sightseeing sessions, especially since couples seem to love this spot for romantic getaways. The cobblestone streets can be a bit tricky with heavy luggage, but the location more than makes up for it.

The Room Experience

My room had this nice blend of modern comfort and subtle nods to the city’s maritime history — nothing too themed or cheesy, just thoughtful touches that reminded you where you were. The beds are actually comfortable (not always a given in historic city centers), and the bathrooms are well-designed with good water pressure. You’ll find the windows offer decent views of either the charming street below or glimpses of the Old Town architecture, depending on which side you’re on. The soundproofing works pretty well too, which matters when you’re this close to the action.

Dining and Daily Rhythms

The hotel’s restaurant serves solid Polish cuisine with some international options — nothing groundbreaking, but well-executed comfort food that hits the spot after a day of exploring. Breakfast has a good spread with local specialties alongside the usual continental fare, and the coffee is actually decent (trust me, this matters more than you think). What I found convenient was the flexible dining hours, since you’re not always ready to eat at traditional times when you’re wandering around the Old Town at your own pace.

Why Guests Love It

Look, Grand Tourist Gemini II isn’t trying to be the flashiest hotel in town, and that’s exactly why it works so well. The combination of that unbeatable location score and the genuine hospitality creates this sweet spot where you feel like you’re staying somewhere special without the pretense. The fact that couples consistently rate it highly tells you something about the atmosphere — it’s romantic without being stuffy, comfortable without being boring. When you can step out your front door and be immediately immersed in one of Europe’s most beautiful medieval cities, while knowing you have a genuinely comfortable base to return to, that’s when a hotel stop being just accommodation and becomes part of the experience itself.

Reviews of Grand Tourist Gemini II

  • Mary from Ireland – 2 June 2025 (9/10)

The location is perfect, right in the city centre. The apartment is plenty spacious and spotlessly clean.

  • Beatriz from Denmark – 2 June 2025 (9/10)

Location is perfect, right in the heart of the city. There's cafés, restaurants and plenty of bars within walking distance. We were in a group of four and found the apartment to be spacious and clean.

What could be improved: Because it's central you will be woken up early by church bells. It wasn't a big problem for us, just something to keep in mind.

  • Danielle from United Kingdom – 24 April 2024 (9/10)

The apartment was huge, very comfortable beds, and a fantastic location close to the main old town. Very modern and clean and would definitely stay again. The taxi driver organised by the apartment was friendly, very helpful and made the time to explain the area, even though he had to wait around for us until the early hours for a delayed flight.

What could be improved: Due to prime location, could be noisy if windows open.

  • Alice from United Kingdom – 2 March 2024 (9/10)

Everything was amazing. The location was perfect, kitchen was well equipped, beds were comfy, everywhere was spotless, etc etc

What could be improved: Nothing to dislike about this place

  • Lynette from United Kingdom – 10 February 2024 (9/10)

    Very cosy warm..everything you need
    Perfect location in Old Town

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Britt from Norway – 30 November 2023 (9/10)

The property was of good size, a good condition and clean. It was located centrally in the old town next to a great restaurant and a coffee shop.

What could be improved: The property itself has nothing wrong with it, but lack of communication with the owners following the stay about left luggage made me give a lower mark

  • Reid from United Kingdom – 22 November 2023 (9/10)

Central location, 3 good sized bedrooms and comfy beds, good kitchen facilities, easy access, warm and cosy

  • Kirsty from United Kingdom – 13 August 2023 (9/10)

Apartment is really central and lots of the main sights in Gdansk are within easy walking distance. There are three good sized double bedrooms. We didn’t find it noisy (aside from the church bells, which were pretty anyway).

  • Julius from Netherlands – 25 June 2023 (8/10)

Perfect location and good value for money

What could be improved: No warm water in the shower

  • Christer from Sweden – 6 November 2022 (9/10)

Great 3 bedroom apartment right in the center of Old Town.
Clean and neat in a silent building.
    Just perfect!
