Gdańskie Apartamenty – Apartamenty na Długiej i na Garbary Overview
Gdańskie Apartamenty – Apartamenty na Długiej i na Garbary sits right on the corner of Garbary, just a stone’s throw from the bustling Długa street. The building itself has that old‑world Polish charm – the façade is plastered in a soft cream, and the wrought‑iron balcony over the lobby gives a hint of the 19th‑century vibe you love about Gdańsk. I remember walking in on a rainy afternoon, the streetlights reflecting off the wet cobblestones, and the air already carrying that unmistakable scent of seaweed and fresh pierogi from the bakery on Długa. The check‑in was surprisingly smooth; a young woman with a bright smile handed me a small card for the apartment key and mentioned that the building’s old elevator was “old but reliable.” I half‑expected a squeak, but it was almost silent – a nice surprise for a four‑star place. And honestly, that’s the kind of detail that turns a stay from ordinary to memorable.
After settling in, the apartment itself felt like a cozy hideaway. The living area is spacious, with a large window that frames the Motława River during sunset – you can actually hear the distant bells of St. Nicholas Cathedral ringing through the glass. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the little corner where the fridge sits is lined with local craft beers that you’ll find at the market on St. Mariacka. I spent an afternoon making a simple pasta dish and ended up filling the room with the aroma of garlic and basil, which later drifted into and caught the attention of a neighbor who waved from the balcony – that’s the kind of community vibe you only get here. The bedrooms are quiet, even though the street on Garbary can get a bit noisy at night, thanks to decent insulation. The bathroom is modern, with a rainfall shower that feels like a spa, and the toiletries are from a local Polish brand that actually smells like fresh lavender.
Parking is a bit of a hidden gem: there’s a small underground garage a block away, and the staff let me park in a dedicated spot for a modest fee. If you’re driving, you’ll also find a few street parking spots right outside the building, though they can be scarce during the summer months. Speaking of seasons, the best time to visit is late spring or early autumn – you’ll catch the city in full bloom without the tourist crowds of July. I spent a quiet evening on the balcony, sipping a glass of white wine while listening to the gentle hum of the city, the distant waves, and the occasional laughter from a nearby café. The staff were friendly, the apartment comfortable, and the location just a short walk from the Old Town, the Royal Stairs, and the famous Amber Museum. If you’re looking for a place that feels like a home away from home, with a dash of local flavor and a touch of old‑world charm, Gdańskie Apartamenty – Apartamenty na Długiej i na Garbary is the spot I’d recommend.

Perfect place in an old town, spacious 3 bedroom apartment with all amenities. The full size kitchen is convenient to cook, either to reheat the food. Grocery shops are in 3 minutes walking distance. Dozens of restaurants everywhere. Completely safe area day and night. The owner responded quickly and answered all questions. After all we had such an impression that we stayed at our well known friends.
What could be improved: No any issues.Karel from Czech Republic – 25 August 2024 (9/10)
Amazing location right next to the main street of the historical city and free of charge parking in the courtyard of the building. Just perfect. The apartment is clean and cosy and having a living room separate from kitchen made the accomodation very comfortable even for the person sleeping in the living room
What could be improved: The cow fur carpets are a little gross, but it is a matter of taste 🙂Matthew from United Kingdom – 8 August 2024 (7/10)

Right in the main tourist area so brilliant location.
Kitchen well equipped.
Beds fairly comfortable.
Easy to find even though you have to go around the back as the actual address houses shops.
Good windows to block out the noisey street, so slept well.
Strong shower
What could be improved: Sheets didn't fit the bed, so always pulling off.
Noisey street late into the night since restaurants sre right outside
Small shower room- not represented in photos.
Really didn't like the animal skin rugs.
