GDAŃSK LASTADIA 36 Overview
GDAŃSK LASTADIA 36 sits smack in the middle of the Motława River’s old‑town fringe, right where the cobblestones of Stradom meet the sleek glass of the new city. The first thing that grabbed my attention was the lobby’s warm, almost too‑cozy vibe—think polished marble, soft jazz, and a barista who knows how to pull a latte that feels like a hug. Check‑in was quick, no fuss, and the staff already had my room number on a sticky note that read “Room 402 – enjoy!” – a tiny sign of the personal touch that sets this place apart. Parking is a bit of a scavenger hunt; there’s a small municipal lot a block away, but the street parking on the side of the building is free if you’re willing to shuffle your suitcase a few steps. I mean, you get that sense that the city’s hustle is only a few minutes away, but the hotel itself is a quiet bubble.
The room itself is a neat mix of industrial chic and Polish comfort. The bed was huge, with a mattress that remembered your shape from the first night and a duvet that was so fluffy it made you want to stay in bed all day. The bathroom’s tiling is a cool, muted blue that feels almost like a spa, and the shower’s water pressure is a blessing after a long day of walking on the Old Town’s uneven stones. I loved that the window looked straight onto the Motława – the river’s gentle sway, the occasional tugboat, and the skyline of Gdańsk’s historic buildings made for a soothing backdrop. Wi‑Fi is reliable, and the flat‑screen TV comes with streaming services that let you catch a Polish drama if you’re looking to unwind. The only little critique? The minibar’s selection is decent but not as varied as it could be; a small local craft beer would’ve been a sweet touch.
Now, if you’re wondering about the surrounding scene, GDAŃSK LASTADIA 36 is a gold mine for wanderers who want to dive into local life without stepping too far from comfort. Within a five‑minute stroll, you hit the iconic St. Mary’s Church and the bustling Main Market Square – the kind of place where the scent of freshly baked pierogis wafts from the corner bakery, and the murmur of people speaking both Polish and German fills the air. For a more relaxed vibe, take a short walk to the street café on Motławy; it’s a favorite for locals who prefer a strong espresso over a touristy latte. If you’re after a night out, the bars on Stradom Street offer a range of craft beers and Polish vodkas, but be prepared for a lively crowd around 11 pm. The noise level after midnight is surprisingly low, thanks to the hotel’s well‑insulated rooms, so you can sleep in peace even if the street outside is still buzzing.
Timing-wise, July and August are the peak months; the city swells with tourists, but GDAŃSK LASTADIA 36 manages to stay calm. The heat can be intense, but a breeze from the sea keeps the rooms from turning into a sauna. Early mornings are a golden opportunity to catch the sunrise over the river, and the hotel’s breakfast spread—think local cheeses, smoked fish, and a selection of rye breads—makes for a delicious start. For the quieter side of the city, the winter months bring a cozy glow, especially after the Christmas lights are hung around the Old Town, turning the streets into a fairy‑tale setting.
All in all, GDAŃSK LASTADIA 36 feels like a home that’s been thoughtfully designed to welcome both the seasoned traveler and the first‑time visitor. The staff’s friendly banter, the comfortable rooms, and the unbeatable location make it a standout choice for anyone wanting to experience Gdańsk with a touch of local flavor. If you

Great modern apartment close to the old town. Quiet area during the night.
It has 3 bedrooms. There are one large with terrace and Tv, one with tv and window. The 3. has a large terrace , but no TV. Beautiful river view from both. Lots of boats passing by wich is fun to watch.
About 10 min walk and you are in the old city. There is a Zabka (mini-marked) 3-4 min walk away. There are a reception with security so it feels safe.
One large bathroom with shower/tub and one smaller with a toilet.
Easy accsess with code and key.
What could be improved: There are some noise from nearby construction work, but when you are in a city that is something you need to expect.Zivile from Lithuania – 16 August 2022 (10/10)
Excellent location, short walking distance from the main attractions. Great views to the river. All amenities you could need on a short (or even long) stay. There were four of us staying in the apartment and our stay was really comfortable.
What could be improved: There could be more power sockets.
The owner does not speak English.Kristian from Denmark – 15 July 2022 (10/10)
Very nice apartment with comfy beds, good kitchen and a beautiful view to the river from two balconies. Just 5 min walk to the old town and 10 min walk to tram with direct connection to Solidarity Museum and food truck place. The train 15 min walk away takes you directly to Sopot. We stayed family group of six and it worked very well with long sleepers in the two bedrooms and the early birds in the big comfy bed in the living room with balcony. It's quiet surroundings. (We couldn't get access to fitness and sauna shown in the pictures)
