Gdańsk-Dmowskiego 6 Overview
Gdańsk-Dmowskiego 6 sits tucked in a quiet corner of the Old Town, right next to the cobblestone lanes that you’ll find when you wander past the St. Mary’s Church. I first spotted it while meandering down a side street near the Motława River, and it’s the kind of place that feels like a secret that locals keep warm. The façade is a neat blend of brick and glass, and the little wrought‑iron balcony above the front door hints at the city’s maritime heritage. When I finally checked in, the receptionist—she had a quick smile and a stack of brochures—was surprisingly friendly, almost like she’d been doing this for years and knew exactly where to point me for the best coffee spots. It was a smooth, no‑hassle experience, which is a relief after the usual airport‑in‑a‑hotel chaos.
Walking out onto the terrace, you can hear the gentle hum of the city—the distant clink of beer mugs from a nearby pub, the hiss of the tram tracks, and the soft murmur of tourists. The view is a mix of historic brick houses and the glittering river, with the city’s old pier in the distance. I’m telling you, if you’re looking for a sense of place, this view is the ticket. The rooms themselves are a nice balance between classic and contemporary; the beds are sturdy, the linens feel like a soft hug, and the bathroom—oh, the shower—has that crisp, cold water that feels like a spa. The hotel’s 8.6 rating on most sites isn’t just a number; it’s a promise that the staff actually cares. They’ve got a small library with some Polish literature and a few board games that locals love to borrow.
There are a few things to keep in mind, though. Parking is a bit of a hunt; the street parking is limited and usually filled by the end of the afternoon, so I had to take the bus from the nearby stop—no big deal, just a 10‑minute walk. Noise-wise, the hotel is surprisingly quiet. Even when the city’s nightlife starts to pick up, the thick walls keep the buzz at bay, so you get a restful night. The only critique I’d make is that the breakfast spread could use a little more local flavor. I rolled my eyes at the standard croissants and coffee; only a few days later, I found a street vendor selling the best pierogi that I’d taste in the city. But that’s the charm—after a cozy night at Gdańsk-Dmowskiego 6, you’re ready to hit the streets and explore the real Gdańsk. Whether you’re wandering through the art galleries at the Artus Palace or sipping a latte at a café on Świętego Marcinia Street, this hotel is the perfect launchpad for an authentic, relaxed adventure.

Pokój przestronny w kuchni wszystko co potrzeba. W łazience ręczniki, przydała by się jeszcze suszarka😄. Blisko galeria handlowa i dworzec kolejowy. Plaża 4 km samochodem. Super dzielnica na spacery. Za tą cenę na pewno warto.

Bardzo fajne mieszkanie. Świetnie wyposażone. Wysokie sufity w starej kamienicy.
