Focus Premium Apartments by Focus Hotels Overview

When I first spotted Focus Premium Apartments by Focus Hotels from the cobblestone street of Targ Sienny, I thought, “This looks like the kind of place locals would actually stay in.” The building itself is a modest four‑star block tucked between the old grain warehouse and a tiny, family‑run bakery that still smells of fresh rye bread in the mornings. Check‑in is a breeze: a friendly staff member hands you a keycard and a handwritten note with the Wi‑Fi password, no fuss, no waiting in a crowded lobby. Parking is a lifesaver – there’s a small, secure spot just down the block, and you can even get a free spot if you book a week in advance, which is a win when you’re juggling luggage and a late‑night train back to Warsaw.

The apartment feels like a home away from home. The living area is roomy enough to stretch out after a day of exploring the Old Town, and the kitchenette comes with a single‑use coffee machine that actually brews a decent espresso – the kind that makes you want to pause and savor the moment. The bed? Soft sheets that feel like a hug, and the blackout curtains are a game‑changer when you’re trying to catch up on sleep after a night of clubbing in the nearby St. Mary’s Church square. I did notice a faint hum from the street at 2 AM, but it’s barely a whisper compared to the usual city noise, so you’ll probably dream of gulls and salty sea air instead of traffic. The bathroom is clean, with a rain shower that makes you feel like you’re in a spa, though the tile’s a bit uneven – a minor quirk that doesn’t bother you once you’re in.

Honestly, the real charm is how Focus Premium Apartments by Focus Hotels blends convenience with authenticity. In the early spring, the street vendors line up on Gdańsk’s main thoroughfare, offering pierogi and placki, and you can grab a quick bite right outside the building without stepping into a tourist trap. During the summer, the courtyard’s balcony becomes a popular spot for locals to sip coffee and chat, and the view of the old town’s skyline is perfect for an Instagram shot – but if you’re a light sleeper, I’d suggest keeping the curtains closed. In the quieter winter months, the apartment’s insulation holds up, and the city’s quietness lets you unwind after a long day. If you’re planning a trip to Gdańsk, I’d say this place is a solid, honest choice that feels more like a neighbor’s home than a hotel, and that’s the kind of vibe that makes your stay memorable.

Exploring Gdansk offers visitors an unforgettable journey through Poland’s maritime heart, from its magnificent Gothic churches to its amber workshops and legendary shipyards where Solidarity was born.

Reviews of Focus Premium Apartments by Focus Hotels

  • Juho from Finland – 6 April 2025 (8/10)

The central location of the hotel made it possible to explore the city and region with ease. Public transportation was very accessible from the location. The shopping mall next to hotel had plenty of useful food and shopping possibilities. The room was very tidy.

What could be improved: The steel stairs to sleeping platform were slippery to climb with socks on and could pose a risk of accident. The heating and AC system was making loud and rattling noise. The AC adjustments corresponded to downstairs only and the upstairs sleeping area became way too hot while sleeping.

  • Svilana from Ukraine – 3 April 2025 (8/10)

living in a fairly good location

What could be improved: the ventilation is working loudly in

  • Hege from Norway – 21 March 2025 (7/10)

Clean. Great location. Pleasantly surprised by the breakfast. Simple, but good. Freshly baked bread

What could be improved: Missed a fridge and the opportunity to have something cold to drink
Aircondition very loud, but I just shut it off when I was going to sleep

  • Aleksandra from Poland – 4 March 2025 (8/10)

  • Alexey from Poland – 20 February 2025 (8/10)

    Clean and great location.

What could be improved: Breakfast is missing fried / scrambled eggs.

  • Vasily from Belarus – 2 February 2025 (7/10)

    Good location and good rate

What could be improved: Staff a bit slow to instruct. 2-level room not too comfy as stairs are quite steep. Also a bit cold in February.

  • Natalie from Norway – 8 December 2024 (9/10)

I really liked the location, the view from the window and the use of space! Very nice and very clean!

What could be improved: The air conditioner was so loud.. and I wish there was a window that was possible to open to get some fresh air in

  • Leszek from United Kingdom – 28 September 2024 (9/10)

Stylish, beautiful apartment decorated to a high standard. Super comfortable bed, incredible shower

What could be improved: Coffee and tea in the apartment would be great especially when you arrive late and unfamiliar with shopps near by. There's a few bars downstairs so it can be a little loud in the evening.

  • Denys from Switzerland – 21 September 2024 (9/10)

    Perfect location

What could be improved: No fridge
