Elite Apartments Granaria The View Overview

When I first stepped out of the metro at Gdańsk Główny and walked down the cobblestones of Chmielna Street, I spotted the sleek glass façade of Elite Apartments Granaria The View. The building’s modern lines contrast with the historic brick houses that line the street, but honestly, it’s a cool blend of old and new that feels right in this part of the city. I mean, you can see the spires of the St. Mary’s Basilica just a short stroll away and the scent of fresh pierogi from a nearby market shop wafts through the air. The lobby is surprisingly spacious, with a minimalist design that has a warm, almost Scandinavian touch. A friendly manager handed me a keycard and explained the self‑check‑in system—no long queues, just a quick scan, and you’re in. It felt efficient, like the city itself: fast, friendly, and a bit polished.

Inside, the apartment was a cozy blend of comfort and functionality. I found a plush king‑size bed with crisp linens that made me want to stay in the room a little longer—though I did step out to catch the sunrise over the Motława River, and the early light turned the sky a soft pink. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the stainless steel appliances gleam. I cooked a quick breakfast of Polish pancakes, and the sound of the kettle whistling was oddly comforting. The living area has a large flat‑screen TV and a small library of books: a nice touch for a traveler who likes to unwind with a good read. As for noise, the apartment is surprisingly quiet at night, even though the street is bustling with night‑time traffic. The windows are double‑glazed, so I didn’t hear the honking of trams or the chatter from the street below. Parking is a bit of a hassle—there’s a paid multi‑story garage a block away, and the rates are a little steep, but it’s worth the convenience if you’re driving. If you’re walking, you can just park on the street; the city has a decent system of designated parking spots near the market square.

The real charm of Elite Apartments Granaria The View comes from the little details that only locals would notice. The balcony is a tiny but perfect spot for a cup of coffee in the morning while people pass by on the street, and you can hear the distant bells of St. Mary’s Church, which is just a few minutes’ walk. I took a detour to the nearby OGID Museum, and the staff there were incredibly helpful. If you’re staying during the summer, expect a lot of tourists around the Old Town, but the hotel staff are always ready with a smile and a recommendation for a quiet spot to sit and watch the sunset on the harbor. The check‑in process is smooth, and you can get a map of the city with a hand‑drawn note marking the best coffee shop with the best flat‑bread in town. I left the place with a sense that you’re not just staying in a hotel—you’re stepping into a slice of Gdańsk life, with all its smells, sounds, and little surprises. It’s a solid 4‑star experience that feels personal and genuinely warm, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the heart of this beautiful city.

Reviews of Elite Apartments Granaria The View

  • Maksymilian from Japan – 21 December 2024 (8/10)

The apartment is located in a perfect place with access to all the city center as well as the beach which is 20 mins ride by taxi. It's beautifully designed and quiet as well.

What could be improved: There was glass on the floor that stuck in my foot. There was supposed to be body soap there but there was none and the staff was unresponsive so I had to go out and buy it.

  • Eva from United Kingdom – 19 December 2024 (9/10)

Beautiful apartment in the heart of Gdansk , very conveniently located short walk from the shops and restaurants . Very clean and well equipped .

  • Viktorija from Sweden – 13 October 2024 (9/10)

Spacious and fairly new apartment close to everything. There is an elevator, which was very convenient when traveling with a stroller.

What could be improved: No AC (although there was ventilation that was working pretty loud).
We would have loved to have more cutlery, as now there were 4 forks, 4 knives, and 4 spoons, which was not enough for our little family of 3.
    Slow response from the owner/staff.
