Dom Zdrojowy Overview
Dom Zdrojowy sits tucked away on ul. Zdrojowa 2, just a stone’s throw from Brzezno’s quiet cobblestones. I first spotted it while strolling past the old brick warehouse that used to house the Gdańsk shipyard—now a hip café that serves the best pierogi in town. The building itself is a charming mix of Regency polish and modern touches; the façade is painted a soft cream that complements the nearby sea breeze. When I arrived, the front desk was a small, cozy space with a friendly receptionist who offered a map of the city, marked with little handwritten notes like “Don’t miss the sunset at Motława” and “Cold beer at the little bar on Krowodrza.” I could almost hear the hum of the city, the clatter of plates from the nearby pier, and the distant call of gulls that made the whole area feel alive.
I checked in around 4 p.m., and honestly, the process was smooth—no long lines, just a quick chat and a digital key. The lobby had a soft, muted color palette that made the space feel like a secret lounge. My room was a compact, comfortable size with a bed that had that kind of springy mattress you only find in a 4‑star place. The bathroom had a glass shower that let you see the view of the street, and the tiles were cool under my feet. I love how the windows open to the street; you can hear the morning traffic and the occasional honk, but it’s not too loud. The room smelled faintly of fresh linen and a hint of citrus—probably a diffuser from the hotel’s housekeeping team. I spent my first evening in the little balcony, sipping a glass of local white wine while watching the sunset over the Motława River. The sky turned a bruised purple, and the city lights began to flicker like a thousand tiny lanterns.
What really makes Dom Zdrojowy feel like a home base is the attention to the little details. Parking is a breeze: there’s a paid lot right behind the hotel that’s usually empty, and if you’re staying for a week, you can get a discount for the first two nights. The noise levels are decent; the building’s walls keep the street chatter to a whisper, so I could fall asleep by 10 p.m., even though the din from the neighboring market was a constant hum. The hotel’s breakfast spread is a mix of local and international favorites: think oat porridge, fresh bread, and a selection of cheeses that you’d find in a traditional Polish market. The staff always greets you with a warm smile, and the concierge knows all the best hidden spots—like the tiny café on St. Motława Street that serves the best espresso or the bar on Krowodrza that has live jazz on Fridays. For a traveler who wants to be close to the action yet not drown in it, Dom Zdrojowy is a sweet spot. The only minor critique? The Wi‑Fi speeds can be a bit sluggish during peak season, but that’s a small price to pay for the overall experience. If you’re planning a trip to Gdańsk and want a place that feels like a local’s favorite, this is it.
Best hotels in Gdansk range from charming boutique properties in the historic Main Town to elegant waterfront hotels with stunning views of the Motława River and Gothic architecture.

The room was spacious and very clean. The tramstop is right outside which is very handy. Ideal location for the beach.

Great location, stylish interior, comfortable room, great breakfasts.
What could be improved: Towels are way too old. Little fridge would be nice to have in the room. And we saw few little insects on the bathroom floor, may be because we had the first floor room, but still that's disturbing.Saoud from Qatar – 21 April 2025 (9/10)

An interesting health resort near Brzezno Beach. It is approximately 8 kilometers away from the center of Gdansk, but there is a tram line that can lead you directly to the city center. You have several grocery shops nearby and a beautiful beach just few steps away. The health center itself is clean, the bed was comfortable.
What could be improved: Nothing that I could think of.Klaudia from Poland – 19 March 2025 (8/10)
I really like the hotel style and history, location, reception staff is very friendly and helpful, breakfasts are very good.
What could be improved: I think parking for guests is to expensive and daily service/cleaning could include new bottles of water.Magdalena from Denmark – 17 February 2025 (9/10)
Near the water, comfy beds and a nice room. Close to tram.

. It's near the beach with access to great walks. We were there in the winter and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The hotel has a nice restaurant and there are restaurants nearby too.
What could be improved: The hotel is near a tram line, which is good if you're going to take trips around Gdańsk or Sopot. On the other hand you can hear trams well into the evening.
During summer, there will be loads of trade booths selling cheap toys and such.
