Dom & House – Apartamenty Nadmorski Dwór Overview
Dom & House – Apartamenty Nadmorski Dwór sits right on the edge of Brzezno, where the sea air still smells of salt and the city hum fades into the rhythmic slap of waves. I remember the first time I walked up the cobbled path from the beach promenade – that rickety wooden boardwalk that locals still call “Szalik” – and the moment I saw the building, I knew it was a hidden gem. The façade is a charming mix of old‑world brick and modern glass, and the street name, Dom & House, feels like a secret handshake for those who know the area.
The check‑in is surprisingly smooth; the front desk staff greet you with a warm smile and a quick scan of your ID, then hand you a keycard that’s almost as slick as the glass elevators that whisk you up. They also toss in a map of Gdańsk with a little note about the best spots for fresh seafood – trust me, the pier at Stogi is a must‑visit. Parking is a non‑issue; there’s a small lot right next to the building, and it’s usually full only during the summer, so you’ll have an easy spot if you’re driving. The noise level inside the apartments is typically low – the only soundtrack is the occasional gull cry and a faint breeze that nudges the curtains.
The rooms themselves are a cozy blend of minimalist design and practical comfort. I stayed in a 2‑bedroom suite that had a balcony overlooking the beach; the view was perfect for watching the sun dip below the horizon. The kitchen area is fully equipped, and the bathroom has that warm, steam‑like feel you get in a real spa, which is a welcome change from the usual hotel showers. I even found a tiny wooden shelf in the pantry where they kept fresh bread – a simple touch that made me feel like I was at a local family’s place rather than a chain hotel. One thing to note: the Wi‑Fi is decent but can be spotty during peak evening hours when locals and tourists alike stream music and videos. If you’re a heavy downloader, you might want to plan your browsing for the morning.
Dining is straightforward – a small in‑house café that serves breakfast pastries and a strong Polish coffee that can keep you awake through a long day of sightseeing. The staff often suggest the best local eateries; last night, they recommended a spot on Dom & House street called “Fryderyk” for pierogi, and it did not disappoint. The building itself feels like a community hub: in the mornings, you’ll hear the clatter of coffee cups and the chatter of people planning their day. The air smells of fresh bread and sea salt, a pleasant mix that makes the place feel alive. The only critique I have is the laundry service – it’s a bit pricey, and the pickup service can miss the window by a day or two, so if you’re packing light, you might want to manage your own laundry.
Overall, Dom & House delivers a relaxed, authentic Gdańsk experience. It’s not flashy, but the attention to detail and the sense of local life make it feel like you’re staying with a friend who knows the best hidden spots. Whether you’re hitting the beaches of Brzezno, exploring the old town, or just soaking up the seaside vibes, this place gives you a comfortable, welcoming base that feels like home – and that’s exactly what you need when you’re traveling.

Reviews of Dom & House – Apartamenty Nadmorski Dwór

It was a perfect location for my needs.
The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious.
What could be improved: The apartment could have been better maintained. It was the second time I had stayed at this flat and there were similar issues to the first time. There are insufficient plates in the cupboard. The kettle had a UK plug and it would not connect to the adaptor hanging under the cupboard. I did report this but nothing was done. You need to use a saucepan to boil water for coffee.
Although the bathroom is large and bright, it is really only equipped for bathing as there is nowhere on the wall to hang the shower head. When I arrived the shower hose was leaking and would not work properly. It took two days but someone did come and repair it.Tatsiana from Belarus – 21 September 2023 (9/10)
The property is located in a very nice and quiet place: 10 mins on foot through the park to the beach, not far from the tram station if you want to go to the city center, the territory near the building is very green and relaxing. Comfortable bed, good kitchen appliances, cozy balcony, it was a really comfortable stay in the end.
What could be improved: My checkin process was a disaster: first I was asked to sign some digital agreement, but I could not read it without entering the code from sms. Sms was not coming, the issue was probably with my SIM, although I could make calls and receive other SMSs, but still I had to find someone with Polish SIM to be able to READ the agreement first of all, and then sign it. After this I was given a code to the apartment, which didn’t work. When I called the properties emergency line, they said all the recovery info was in the office and the office was closed 🙂 they’ve found an employee who would call me back, but cellular network didn’t work in the building! So I had to run between the apartment and the backyard to get some signal. Then when I was calling back to them I was getting to the call center which was closed for the day 😞
I was told that hundreds of other guests never have problems like this, and I truly hope it’s true, because the apartment and its surroundings are really cool.
Couple more nice-to-haves: there was not enough light in the bathroom, and having some matches or lighter to light up those beautiful candles would definitely make the stay even better.Teymur from Poland – 26 August 2023 (9/10)
Apartment quality, location, kitchenware and accessories, terrace, facilities around the building – all great
What could be improved: Small ants in the apartmentDonatas from Lithuania – 26 June 2023 (9/10)
Good location, parking space, nice clean flat.
What could be improved: The layout of the flat could be better, because bathroom is accessible only from the bedroom.Chris from United Kingdom – 17 January 2023 (2/10)
The location was perfect since we have family members living in another block. The sofa bed and the double bed were comfortable. At first sight the flat looked modern and nicely furnished but…..
What could be improved: We knew there was a shower but it was attached to the bath taps which meant we had to kneel in the bath to bathe and wash our hair! We expected at least a fixture on the wall to attach the hose.
The washing machine didn't work. We tried several programs but it just made noises. The bedside table was in a poor condition compared to the rest of the furniture in the flat. The bedroom blind was broken. When we arrived the cord was tied to the window handle to keep it up. When it was down you couldn't alter it.
The kitchen: The double electric socket above the coffee maker, toaster etc was broken. There was another double socket further away but no space to place all the appliances. The kettle had a UK plug so you needed a spare adaptor to use it. The flat is promoted for four persons staying but there were only 3 dinner plates and 3 cereal bowls. It was poorly equipped for cooking….. no oven dishes, no mixing bowl, no grater, no small knife only 3 large knives (all blunt), no tea towel (only 2 dishwasher tabs so you had to wash up by hand because you needed the crockery) and no ice cube tray. In addition there was a random set of cutlery in the drawer and dried food left on several items so we started by washing up.
It's a shame because we have rented elsewhere in Gdansk and this is not typical.Gridasov from Ukraine – 10 September 2022 (8/10)
good layout, design and size of apartments, very nice complex where the apartment is.
What could be improved: it is very difficult to figure out how to find and get inside, my place in the parking lot was occupied by someone.Eglė from Lithuania – 7 September 2022 (9/10)
Place is good and safe.
What could be improved: GPS showed a little bit different place, luckily from photoes we find the place.Rokas from Lithuania – 21 July 2022 (7/10)
very very good location, very beautiful real estate project, the whole area next to the park, water fountains etc., safe area. good instructions via email how to come, polite staff, self check in.
What could be improved: needs renovation. even IKEA offers more sturdy furniture, all cupboards and bed was crackling, toilet really scary when sitting, shower really small, not a cozy apartment – no plants, no stuff nothing except main furniture, north side, no direct sunlight. parking space was occupied, owners did not offer any help, we did have to deal with the problem ourselves. too much documentation and papers alot of information was just in polish very hard to understand, different payment system, very uncomfortable to book and alot of time spent on it. overal experience was not terrible, but it was not good, had to spend alot of extra time on handling booking things. outer gates were not explained how to use, ran into trouble. overall the actual apartment was not from the price range. heating to dry clothes after rain was not working.Alyona from Ukraine – 7 July 2022 (9/10)
Very beautiful and peaceful location. Only 15 min walk trough park to the beach. Comfortable room and nice playgrounds. Good Wi-fi. Spacious bathroom with a bath.
What could be improved: Had a bit of trouble to contact the correct office when we arrived. In some places the cell signal is low, but i doubt that the owners can somehow change this.Mindaugas from Lithuania – 26 June 2022 (7/10)
We stayed at Nadmorski Dwór 1b/8 for 2 nights.
Parking place in underground parking of same building. Modern design apartment.
Balcony with view into park/forest (so there were no other houses in front of balcony and apartment windows, just trees). Main room is really bright as it has big windows. TV in main room + TV in bedroom. Fully equipped kitchen.
Quiet location, not too far from beach. Food shop just across the street.
What could be improved: Before our arrival we received building gates code and as well our apartment door code. Sadly, but when we arrived door code was not working so we were not able to access our apartment. We called ''Dom & House'' customer service (that took some time before someone answered the phone) and explained all the situation. Customer service provided some backup door code and we entered our apartment. We were told that they will fix it ASAP and they will call as again to provide new door code (we received SMS with code after few hours so it took some time but at least we were in apartment). At the end we were happy that we arrived at day time so we were able to call someone, we don’t know how things would have ended if we had arrived at night.
The other negative thing was that there were no bin and toilet brush in toilet.
Balcony floor needs some refurbishment or at least some good deep cleaning.
