The front desk was surprisingly efficient; the staff greeted me with a friendly “Dzień dobry” and handed over a key card in a crisp, modern sleeve—no long lines, no awkward small talk. The check‑in process was smooth, but I did notice the little “Do you need a wake‑up call?” question pop up on the tablet—nice touch for travelers who love a gentle start to their day.

I stayed in a standard room on the third floor—nothing fancy, but the view was killer. From the balcony you can see the spires of St. Mary’s Basilica and the river winding through the city, especially beautiful at sunset when the sky turns that soft peach color. The bed was a bit firmer than I’m used to, but the pillows were cloud‑like, and the linens felt like a gentle hug. The bathroom had a decent-sized shower with a showerhead that actually delivers a steady spray—no splashing into the corners like some other hotels. I also appreciated the little touches: a jar of local honey, a small bottle of vodka, and a handwritten note from the manager wishing me a good stay—makes you feel like a guest, not just a number.

Parking is a bit of a hassle; the hotel doesn’t have its own lot, so you have to use the public parking on Gdańska Street—there are a few spots, but they’re pricey and sometimes you’re stuck behind a taxi. I ended up using a nearby parking garage on Gdańska, which was a short walk—just a block and the street’s cafés will be buzzing by noon. Noise-wise, it’s pretty quiet inside; the only sounds are the occasional street chatter and the distant hum of traffic. The only real disturbance was the night shift at the adjacent restaurant—there’s a small kitchen that sometimes keeps the lights on until 2 a.m., but the hotel’s walls hold up well. In terms of timing, I found that the best time to enjoy the rooftop terrace is early in the morning before the city wakes up, or late in the evening when the lights are on and the city feels alive. If you’re traveling in the summer, be ready for the usual tourist crowds around the market square, but the hotel’s location means you’re right in the thick of it—perfect if you want to feel the pulse of Gdańsk without having to walk miles. Overall, Dolce Vita is a solid 4‑star spot that feels more like a local’s favorite hideout than a generic chain—good food, friendly staff, and a prime spot in the heart of the city.

  Everything was great, we really enjoyed our stay at beautiful apartment Dolce Vita. The hosts are very kind and friendly. It is a very good location for exploring Gdansk. I highly reccomend this place.

  The room was super cute, the bed so comfortable, the kitchen area very nice. The hosts had succeeded in creating the Italian vibe, laid back, genuine and natural. The hosts themself were perfect, helpful and generous. The fact that both bus and tram stops are very close make the situation practical.

  Interesting style of all house with many simbols of Italy,even rooms named by italian cities.Very friendly host he explains everything even how to use public transport.Room was good,stylish.Kithen was one for all rooms and there was everything we need even coffee maker.

  The rooms were very clean, our room had a good spot on the roof. Staff very nice showed us everything,friendly. Good location near tram stop to get to city center.

  Clean and spacious apartment with access to kitchen and a garden, situated in a beautiful quiet area of Gdansk. Close to both the main town and airport by taxi and transportation. The hosts and staff were lovely too. Overall we had a great stay!

  I had a great stay here. I had an unfortunate initial experience where my flight had to land in Warsaw and then I had to take the train to Gdansk in the middle of the night. The hosts were kind enough to wake up at 3 am in the morning to help me get into the room.
  
  The apartment itself was very nicely planned and designed. The whole building is designed to celebrate the country of Italy. The location might be a little off the centre of Gdansk but there are bus and tram connections nearby. So no problem regarding that.
  
  And of course, they offer amazing coffee.
