Comfort Apartments Grobla II Overview
Comfort Apartments Grobla II is tucked into a narrow corner of Grobla II, 80‑834 Gdańsk, Poland – a spot that feels like a quiet breath between the hustle of the Old Town and the chatter of the train station. When I walked in, the building’s façade was a muted beige, but the real charm was in the little details: a brass doorknob that feels solid in your hand, a small brass plaque with the hotel’s name, and a handwritten welcome note tucked into the hallway. The reception was a friendly pair of locals who spoke German and Polish with equal ease, and they handed me a keycard that glowed a soft blue when you swipe it. The check‑in was quick – no long lines, just a quick “welcome” and a map of the city that had the exact spot of the best pierogi shop on Fochowa Street marked with a little heart. I was already feeling at home.
I stayed in a one‑bedroom suite that had a balcony overlooking a quiet street where the only sound was the faint hum of traffic and the occasional bark of a street dog. The room itself was a cozy 18 square meters of practical space: a king‑size bed with linens that felt as soft as a cloud, a small kitchenette that came with a kettle, a mini‑fridge, and a flat‑screen TV that could stream Netflix if you wanted to wind down. The bathroom was surprisingly bright – the windows let in a little bit of morning light, and the shower had a decent pressure, which is a relief after a long day of walking. The only thing that could use a bit of improvement is the noise level at night; the street next to the building is a bus stop, so the occasional rumble of a night bus can be a bit intrusive, especially if you’re a light sleeper. But honestly, it’s a small price to pay for being so close to the city’s heart.
Speaking of proximity, Comfort Apartments Grobla II is literally a stone’s throw from Gdańsk Główny train station – just a two‑minute walk, and you’re on your way to the Baltic Sea or the museums in the Old Town. I took advantage of that and spent an afternoon strolling through the cobblestones, stopping for a coffee at a café that’s known among locals for its hazelnut latte. The streets around here are a mix of old brick façades and modern glass, and the air is peppered with the scent of freshly baked rye bread from a bakery on Jagiellonka Street. For those who enjoy a bit of nightlife, the area around the station gets lively after 10 p.m., with jazz bars and small clubs that spill onto the sidewalks. If you’re a night owl, I’d recommend heading to the harbor promenade where the sea breeze cools the city after the streets have heated up. And if you’re traveling with kids, the building’s parking is a bit of a gamble – there’s no dedicated parking, but you can find a spot on the side of the street in the early morning before the tour buses start coming in. The building does have a small, paid parking lot a few blocks away, but that’s a 15‑minute walk.
The seasons play out in their own rhythm here. In summer, the street lights up with the glow of lanterns, and the city’s micro‑breezes make the balcony feel like a small garden. In winter, the silence is almost complete, with the only sound being the wind whistling through the windows. I stayed during the shoulder season, and the hotel was quiet but not deserted – a perfect balance. The staff were always friendly, offering to help with directions or recommending hidden gems like the small museum on Gdańsk’s St. Mary’s Square, which is a short walk away. I also appreciated the little touches: a bottle of local vodka on the nightstand, a small guidebook with handwritten notes from previous guests, and a set of essential toiletries that are just enough but not overwhelming. All in all, Comfort Apartments Grobla II is the kind of place that
Hotels near me in Gdansk offer convenient access to the old town, where guests can easily walk to Neptune’s Fountain, St. Mary’s Church, and the famous Long Market.

Reviews of Comfort Apartments Grobla II
Lisa from United Kingdom – 16 December 2024 (8/10)
The location was brilliant.
Stanisław from Poland – 12 November 2024 (9/10)
Obiekt świetnie położony,zwłaszcza dla osób chcących zwiedzić miasto. Sypialnia bardzo przestrzenna i wygodna. Kuchenka trochę mała ,ale spełniła swoje zadanie. Można w niej spokojnie zjeść śniadanie, kolację ,wypić kawę . Ładna ,czysta łazienka .
W apartamencie ciepło i wygodnie.
What could be improved: Przechodnia sypialnia małżeńska – dla osób śpiących w drugiej sypialni. Jeśli są to dzieci ,to Ok, ale w przypadku dwóch małżeństw to trochę krępujące. Brakuje w kuchni kuchenki mikrofalowej.Ilona from United Kingdom – 28 October 2024 (9/10)
Location ,very good, shop Żabka on every road 5 min walk to Długa road and very close to all attractions
What could be improved: No Microwave and wash machineMateusz from Poland – 20 October 2024 (9/10)
Czysto, blisko centrum, mimo parteru i okien wychodzących na ulicę całkowita cisza w nocy, polecam
Stephan from Germany – 30 April 2024 (5/10)
Great location, sufficient space. Apartment as shown on pictures
What could be improved: Coffee machine still with old coffee and mould. Dishwasher with horrible smell. Unclean dishes. Floor not cleaned properly: food remains and socks were black after 1h in the apartment.Adam from Ireland – 8 February 2024 (7/10)
The interior is exactly as seen in pictures, it is a fab apartment and is in a perfect location for your stay in the city. We were a group of 3 and it was across from a little shop, near to all the life of the city.
What could be improved: We arrived after the office hours, they would not answer us on the phone number, we couldn’t find the apartment for 3hr, the access is NOT on the street that is named- you must walk down the side of the buildings. The keys are collected at the office and this is a 10 min walk from the apartment as there was construction in the city and a bridge was closed.Valdas from Lithuania – 22 July 2023 (8/10)
The excellent location, the apartments are comfortable and clean.
What could be improved: Parking. For those who come by car, pay attention that parking is difficult and will cost additional money.Sergej from Austria – 4 July 2023 (7/10)
What could be improved: I had to pay a 20 eur fee to collect keys at 7:30pm. Also 500 PLN security deposit is weird given that the dishwasher was broken and noone told about it, I had to urgently take a picture and send it
Iryna from Ukraine – 2 June 2023 (9/10)
Дякую, сподобалось все, чисто, зручно, сучасний інтерєр, гарне розташування. Тихо, поруч магазин, історичний центр, ресторанчики та кафе поруч.
What could be improved: Із мінусів – відсутність пральної машини, малий тиск води в душі, немає балкона або тераси. Для двох-трьох осіб достатньо площі, для більшої кількості гостей вже замало.Anna from Ireland – 5 January 2023 (4/10)
lovely clean apartment
What could be improved: very hard to find spent an hour looking for the property. Office is in another building very hard to get directions to the apartment. The shower wasn’t working the first day.
