When I first checked into Chmielna Park – City Center & Parking by Downtown Apartments, the view from the second floor was already a good start. Honestly, the lobby was a mix of modern minimalism and a hint of old‑world charm – the kind of place where you can almost hear the city waking up outside the glass windows. I was glad to find a small café behind the reception that served fresh coffee and a slice of local rye bread – the aroma alone made the wait for check‑in feel less like a chore. Parking was a breeze, since the hotel sits right next to the Downtown Apartments, so you can drop your keys in a secure lot and walk back in minutes, even during the night shift when the trams are a mile away. The staff were friendly, but I did notice that the check‑in desk was a bit crowded on weekend mornings, so if you’re a night owl, you’re probably fine.

Room 402 had a floor‑to‑ceiling window that framed the cobblestone streets of the old town, and the mattress was a solid 6‑out‑of‑10 – not hotel‑standard, but definitely better than the budget places I’ve stayed in the past. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious, with a rain shower that left the room smelling like fresh linen, and the tiles had a subtle, almost vintage, pattern you won’t see in newer hotels. I did wish the Wi‑Fi had a stronger signal in the corner of the room, though the in‑room tablet was working fine.   it was a lovely clean apartment. very close to the centre.
  
  What could be improved: even with all the instructions, it was pretty hard for me to figure out how to find my keys and my building at 2am. maybe that's just me haha. it's an apartment building that people live in, so doors banging at 7am and dogs barking in the courtyard.
