Location & Neighborhood

Honestly, the location here is pretty much perfect if you want to experience authentic Gdańsk. You can walk to St. Mary’s Church in about three minutes, and the famous Crane (that medieval port crane everyone photographs) is just a pleasant stroll away. What I really appreciate is that you’re close enough to everything important, but the street itself isn’t overrun with tour groups — it’s got more of a residential feel. Couples absolutely love it here, and I can see why; there’s something romantic about wandering these cobblestone streets together, especially in the evening when the crowds thin out. The neighborhood truly captures the essence of this historic city.

The Room Experience

The beds here are genuinely comfortable — and I’m someone who usually struggles with hotel mattresses. Each room feels thoughtfully designed rather than just decorated, with enough space to actually unpack and settle in for a few days. The windows let in plenty of natural light, which is lovely when you’re getting ready for a day of exploring. You know what struck me most? I particularly enjoyed starting my mornings here because the dining area has this calm atmosphere — you’re not rushing through breakfast just to escape noise and chaos. It’s the kind of place where you might actually linger over coffee and plan your day. The quality of offerings reflects genuine care for guest satisfaction.

  This was our second stay at Celestin Residence, and once again, everything was great! The location in the city center is super convenient, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, we couldn’t stay for breakfast this time because we had to leave very early — but last time we did, and the breakfast was absolutely amazing. I strongly recommend this place to anyone visiting Gdańsk!
