First Impressions

Walking up to Boutique Aura 40 by Grand Apartments on Rybaki Górne, you immediately get that feeling you’ve stumbled onto something special. This four-star property sits right in the heart of Gdańsk‘s Old Town, and I mean literally — you’re surrounded by those gorgeous colorful townhouses that make this city so photogenic. The building itself has this understated elegance that doesn’t scream for attention but definitely catches your eye. You know what I love about this place? It manages to feel both historic and completely modern at the same time.

Location That Actually Matters

Honestly, the location here is pretty much unbeatable — there’s a reason it scored 9.6 for location. You’re maybe a three-minute walk from the famous Long Market and Neptune Fountain, which means you can actually pop back to your room between sightseeing without it being a whole production. The Motława River is right there too, so those evening strolls along the waterfront become part of your daily routine. I’ve stayed in places where they claim to be “centrally located” but you still need a taxi to get anywhere interesting — that’s definitely not the case here.

The Apartment Experience

What sets this place apart is that you’re getting a proper apartment rather than just a hotel room, which makes such a difference when you’re staying more than a night or two. Each unit comes with a fully equipped kitchen, and I actually used mine — picked up some fresh bread and local cheese from the nearby market and had breakfast on my little balcony overlooking the cobblestone street below. The design is clean and contemporary without being cold, with these nice touches like local artwork and quality linens that show someone actually thought about the guest experience.

Neighborhood Charm

The Rybaki Górne area has this wonderful mix of locals and visitors that keeps it from feeling too touristy, even though you’re right in the thick of things. There’s a great little restaurant called Goldwasser just around the corner that serves incredible pierogi, and the staff at Boutique Aura actually recommended it to me — they clearly know their neighborhood well. You’ll find yourself walking everywhere because honestly, most of what you want to see is within a few blocks. The amber shops, the basilica, even the shipyard museum — it’s all right there.

Why Guests Love It

I think what really makes this place work is that perfect balance between independence and service. You get the space and freedom of having your own apartment, but there’s still someone to help when you need recommendations or have questions about the area. The 8.9 rating makes total sense when you experience it — couples especially seem to love it here, probably because there’s something romantic about having your own little corner of this beautiful historic city. Plus, there’s parking available, which if you’ve ever tried to drive in Gdańsk’s Old Town, you’ll know is basically a small miracle.

  Bardzo klimatyczny apartament, doskonale wyposażony, we wszystkie udogodnienia. Lokalizacja idealna, blisko do centrum jak i komunikacji miejskiej. Cisza i spokój. Budziły nas jedynie mewy, ale to urok bycia nad morzem, więc żaden minus.

  What could be improved: We arrived around 7-8 pm after a long trip , only to find out that the instructions were somewhat wrong ,and the instructions in the door in polish, with us putting the code to the front door and it wouldn't open .
  
  After one call we just received the same instructions and after that they wouldn't pick up the phone,which is unacceptable .
  We were lucky after about 40 mins a gentleman from the same flat building opened us the door with his key for us to reach the apartment and retrieve the keys as they should and use the magnet for the door from now on.
