Blue Raven Motlawa Grand Overview
Blue Raven Motlawa Grand sits on the cobblestones of Kotwiczników, just a stone’s throw from the bustling Motława River. When I first stepped through the polished doors, the scent of fresh bread from a nearby bakery drifted in—an aroma that instantly felt like home. The lobby is surprisingly cozy, with a mix of modern décor and classic Polish woodwork. The staff greet you with a warm “Dzień dobry” and a quick question about your day, which instantly feels less like a hotel and more like staying in an old Gdańsk friend’s apartment. The check‑in process was a breeze: a digital tablet for the key card, a handwritten note in Polish, and a friendly “Enjoy your stay!”—no long queues, no confusing forms.
The rooms are the real highlight. I was in a 3‑bedroom suite on the IV floor, which, honestly, feels like a private loft. The windows frame a view of the river, and the soft hum of boats passing below is oddly soothing. The bed is a plush king with sheets that feel like the finest linen—soft, cool, and slightly textured. The bathroom is a spa‑like space: a deep soaking tub, a rain shower, and a set of scented soaps that hint at sea salt and citrus. I took a long bath after a day exploring the Old Town, and the steam made the room feel like a quiet harbor. The minibar was stocked with local craft beers and a bottle of Polish vodka—great for a midnight snack or a quick toast with a neighbor.
Parking is a bit of a scavenger hunt. There’s a small lot right across the street, but it’s limited and usually fills up early. If you’re staying during the summer, you’ll want to grab a permit from the municipal office or use the nearby street parking (keep an eye on the blue lines). Noise at night is minimal—thanks to double‑glazed windows—even though the street is lively during the day. The only real disturbance was a delivery truck at 10 pm on a busy summer evening, but that was a one‑time thing. The staff responded promptly, and the manager apologized, which showed how attentive they are to guest comfort.
One of the best parts of staying at Blue Raven Motlawa Grand is the proximity to local hotspots. Just a 5‑minute walk brings you to the historic St. Mary’s Basilica, where the bell towers echo every hour. For lunch, I strolled down to the waterfront and found a tiny pier where fishermen sell fresh cod and seaweed—taste of the Baltic right outside your door. If you’re up for a late‑night stroll, the Old Town’s cobblestones light up with street performers and the scent of roasted chestnuts. The hotel’s small rooftop terrace offers a panoramic view of the city lights, and there’s a fire pit where you can sip hot chocolate on chilly evenings.
Honestly, the only critique I have is that the Wi-Fi speed can be a bit sluggish during peak tourist season. A quick call to the front desk resolved it, but it’s worth mentioning for those who need a stable connection for work. Aside from that, I left feeling like I’d stayed in a Gdańsk home rather than a hotel. The blend of local charm, comfortable rooms, and attentive service made Blue Raven Motlawa Grand a standout choice for anyone looking to experience the city’s heart without compromising on comfort. If you’re planning a trip, this place is a solid bet—especially if you want to mingle with locals and keep the city’s rhythm close to your pulse.

Przestronny, czysty apartament. Lokalizacja bardzo dobra, 5-10 minut spacerem do centrum. Niedaleko budynku znajduje się fajne miejsce nad rzeką, gdzie można przysiąść. Wszystko super.
What could be improved: Wszystko w porządku, zgodnie z oczekiwaniami.Paula from Ireland – 8 July 2024 (9/10)
The property exceeded my expectations. It was modern, bright, clean, spacious and well located . I was worried about being so close to a busy road but the quadruple glazed windows meant no noise at all and amazing views.
We were within a walking distance to all attractions, great restaurants and other amenities like kayaking, cycling, scooting and a train station.
I fell in love with Gdansk and would love to visit again
What could be improved: The only downside was that we had to rely on the central aircon in the corridor at night as opening of the windows meant a significant noise disturbance.Liana from Lithuania – 15 December 2022 (10/10)
Apgalvota kiekviena detalė. Švaru, jauku, gražu, tvarkinga ir yra viskas, ko gali prireikti.

Highest marks go to host – very welcoming and interested to provide best service! Excellent loacation, 10 min walk to city centre (see picture attached), though easy reachable buy car, safe private parking (for fee). Apartment is well equipped – everything You need for longer stay. And view from windows is excellent.
What could be improved: As temperature during our visit hit +34C, the lack of aircon was big issue. Though host brought electric fan, it was not help in night, when You have two options- close windows and suffer from lack of fresh air, or open them and enjoy city noises from arguing people and passing traffic to StMarys bells at 6AM. I wish them all the success to install aircion until next summer (as host told, this is under negotiation with authorities).
Size of bed. As we are used to larger bed, I was afraid to fall out of it.
It is pity, there isn't road crossing/tunnel next to apartments – this would make walk to DlugiTarg three times shorter. Now You need to go extra 200 m to traffic lights. But longer walks are good for health.
