BLUE MANDARIN Premium II Overview

BLUE MANDARIN Premium II sits smack in the heart of Gdańsk, right where Łąkowa 6 meets the bustling market square. I arrived just after the last tram slid past the old town, the city’s rhythm humming in the air. The front desk was a quick, friendly exchange—no long queues, just a warm smile and a digital key that popped straight into my phone. Honestly, the check‑in felt more like a personal welcome than a corporate transaction. Parking is a bit of a puzzle, though; the nearest street spot is a tight crawl, so I parked in the paid lots a block over on Młynarska, only a minute’s walk from the hotel. The noise level is surprisingly low; you can actually hear the distant clatter of the harbor ships, but the building’s insulation keeps the city’s bustle out.

The room itself is a tidy slice of modern comfort. The bed, a generous king‑size with crisp linens, gives a surprisingly luxurious feel—you’d swear this is more than a four‑star pad. The bathroom is bright and functional; the shower’s water pressure is decent, but the showerhead could use a little upgrade. I liked that the minibar was stocked with local craft beers—Polish lagers that you don’t find in tourist spots. The Wi‑Fi, though, was a bit of a let‑down; the speed dipped when I tried streaming a movie late at night. But that’s a small trade‑off for the quiet, the tasteful décor, and the breath of sea air that drifts in when you open the window. I spent my evenings on the balcony, sipping coffee and watching the sunset over the Motława River, the city lights flickering in the distance.

Dining at BLUE MANDARIN Premium II is a highlight. Breakfast is a hearty spread of pastries, fresh fruit, and a selection of Polish cheeses that give you a sense of local flavor. For lunch, the hotel’s bistro serves pierogi with a modern twist—think smoked salmon filling instead of the usual potato, which I found surprisingly delightful. The hotel also has a small bar that offers a good selection of vodkas and local craft cocktails. I tried a classic “wodka z pomarańczą” and it was spot on. If you’re hungry after a day exploring the Old Town, the hotel’s location on Łąkowa means you’re a stone’s throw from the famous St. Mary’s Church and the bustling fish market. I recommend walking to the nearby Gdańsk Main Railway Station on your first day; the train station’s modern glass façade is a nice contrast to the medieval streets.

Overall, BLUE MANDARIN Premium II feels like a cozy, well‑run home away from home. The staff’s friendly, almost family‑like vibe makes staying here feel less like a transaction and more like a welcomed stay. The hotel’s proximity to both the historic center and the modern waterfront gives you the best of both worlds. If you’re planning a trip in the summer, be ready for the usual crowds near the harbor, but the hotel’s quiet rooms still provide a calm retreat. For a quieter stay, consider visiting in early spring or late autumn, when the city’s pulse slows down. The only real critique is the Wi‑Fi speed, but for most travelers, that’s a minor hiccup compared to everything else this hotel offers. Seriously, if you’re looking for a stylish, well‑located spot with a touch of local charm, BLUE MANDARIN Premium II is a solid pick.

Reviews of BLUE MANDARIN Premium II

  • Malin from Sweden – 4 May 2025 (9/10)

    Fantastisk lägenhet. Vacker och rymlig.

What could be improved: För lite toapapper och diskmedel för att räcka hela vistelsen. När vi bad om mer så fick vi svaret att det var allt som ingick, vi fick köpa själva.

  • B from Poland – 21 April 2025 (10/10)

    Klimat wnętrza.

What could be improved: Ciężko było dostać się się budynku. Wpisywanie często kodu żeby drzwi się otworzyły od klatki.

  • Inas from United Kingdom – 17 April 2025 (5/10)

    The furniture were nice

What could be improved: There was no heating and they mentioned only the day before about a deposit we had to pay otherwise they wouldn't give us the keys and the only 2 ways is either giving the credit card details over the phone or going to their office which was h alf an hour walking from the house. I asked them to send a link through booking.com to ensure security but they wouldn't give that option. So at the end because I didn't feel safe to give my credit card details over the phone to a random person, I had to go to their office, making our already long journey even longer and more tiring. Furthermore when we arrived in the house there was no heating and outside there was 10 degrees during the day and 1 degree during the night. We told them about it and they didn'ty care to find any solutions.

  • Magdalena from Poland – 30 January 2025 (10/10)

    Znakomite wnętrze ,styl .

What could be improved: Wszystko Ok

  • Anna from Poland – 28 December 2024 (10/10)

Piękny wystój, wygodne kanapy, czysto, przestronnie

What could be improved: Niewygodny materac w „małej” sypialni 😉

  • Karolina from Poland – 16 December 2024 (10/10)

Zadbanie i nietuzinkowy wystrój wnętrza, ogromna przestrzeń

What could be improved: Brak zastrzeżeń

  • Maksymilian from Poland – 10 August 2024 (9/10)

    The size of the property

  • Juste from Lithuania – 16 August 2023 (10/10)

Very beautiful apartment, a lot of space, a great interior, a functional kitchen, a great location, few minutes to an old town!

  • Gillian from United Kingdom – 5 March 2023 (10/10)

Beautiful large apartment- spacious and airy, very tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard.

What could be improved: we couldn’t find how to control the temperature as the radiators were quite hot (making the smaller bedroom stuffy at night)

  • Dainys from Lithuania – 8 October 2022 (4/10)

We liked the kitchen area, sofas, bathrooms, and TV's, Place was nicely cleaned.

What could be improved: After all the we went to BLUE MANDARIN II only for 4 days. all nights were horrible. Every night people were shouting and fighting. And the last night there was a shootout. In one living room we found a bubble gum glued on the wall and the chandelier was shaking because of the cars driving past the building or when the neighbour turn on their laundry machine.
