Despite the issues with communication and access, there were several aspects of the apartment that I genuinely appreciated.
First, the apartment was impeccably clean and felt new, which made for a very comfortable stay. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything needed for a short visit, which was incredibly convenient.
The location was also a major highlight. The apartment was very near the old town and major attractions, making it incredibly easy to walk everywhere. This proximity to key sights, combined with the very reasonable price, made the overall value of the stay quite good.
What could be improved: Communication and Access Issues
My arrival was significantly hindered by a lack of clear communication and incorrect access instructions. The provided code for the main door actually opened the staircase, while the code designated for the staircase was entirely non-functional. It took me a frustrating 20 minutes to decipher this on my own. Despite my immediate phone calls, I only received a response via email after 30 minutes, which is unacceptable when a guest is stranded outside.
Unclear Parking Instructions
Locating the parking garage remote was another unnecessary challenge. The instructions vaguely stated it was in "the hallway." When I called for clarification, I was told it was in the hallway next to the garage door, but it was not there. After wandering aimlessly, I eventually went up to the apartment and discovered the remote was located right next to the apartment door. What could be improved: The apartment needed a service technician and several repairs. The floor was damaged – parquet and tiles. All the doors were difficult to close, especially the bathroom door. Very nice clean flat suitable for 2 addults and two kids, very close to old town and restaurants, but still in a pieceful area. Spacious bathroom, good WiFi, kitchen corner with basic stuff. 24/7 self-service loundry opportunity in the same building.
What could be improved: Parking area is rather small, so be ready to park on the street and pay for it. But a supermarket, restourants, old town and a shopping centre is in a walking distance, so no need to use a car once you have a place. The location of the apartment is very good – new building, very close to the Old City and main attractions. Still the building is quiet and you can rest very well. The bed is comfortable, at least for my taste. There are nice restaurants, supermarket near by. The unit has a small kitchenette with fridge and espresso machine that is useful for light breakfast. I had complementary espresso caps. The WiFi works very well.
What could be improved: The checkin is made at the office, not at the location. The office is close to the apartment but still there is a distance to walk (500m) and for me it was not pleasant to carry to hard luggage on pebble street to the unit building. Same for check out, you have to go back to the office to leave the keys – again carry the luggage on the pebble stone. The communication with the office is not that good, they said they sent me the checkin details via email but I didn't receive them. The apartment was not very well cleaned, it had sand and dust on the floor. In the bathroom there were only 2 very small complementary shower gels, there was no soap.
