Apartment Gdansk Close to Oldtown Overview
First Impressions
You know what struck me about Apartment Gdansk Close to Oldtown? It’s one of those places where the name actually tells you everything you need to know. This four-star property sits on Daniela Chodowieckiego street, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better planned if you tried. The building itself has that solid, no-nonsense Polish architecture that makes you feel like you’re staying somewhere real rather than some cookie-cutter hotel chain. The attention to detail in the design creates an inviting atmosphere from the moment you arrive.
Location & Getting Around
I mean, being this close to Gdańsk’s Old Town is pretty much the whole point, right? You can actually walk to the historic center without breaking a sweat — we’re talking maybe 10-15 minutes on foot through some really pleasant streets. What I loved is that you get that authentic neighborhood feel without being stuck in the tourist chaos. The area has this lived-in quality where you’ll see locals going about their day, plus there are some solid cafes and shops within easy reach that most visitors never discover. The surrounding streets offer a genuine glimpse into daily life in this vibrant city.
The Apartment Experience
The apartment itself feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical hotel room. There’s actually space to spread out, which is something you don’t always get in European city centers. The kitchen is properly equipped — not just some tiny corner setup, but something you could actually use if you wanted to grab groceries from the local market and cook something up. The whole place has been updated recently, so you get modern comfort without losing that Polish character that makes staying here feel special. Every corner reflects thoughtful planning and care.
Practical Perks
Here’s something that’ll save you a headache — they’ve got private parking right on site. Trust me, if you’ve ever tried to find parking in any European old town, you’ll appreciate this more than you might expect. The fact that recent guests rated the location 8.3 out of 10 makes perfect sense once you’re there. It’s that sweet spot where you’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough from the crowds that you can actually relax when you come back in the evening. This balance is rarely achieved in city center accommodations.
Why Guests Love It
What really comes through in the feedback is how much couples enjoy this place — and I get it. There’s something romantic about having your own little corner of Gdańsk, especially when you can walk hand-in-hand through those gorgeous old streets whenever the mood strikes. The 8.2 overall rating reflects what you’d expect: solid comfort, great location, and that feeling like you’re experiencing the city rather than just passing through it. It’s not trying to be fancy or flashy, just genuinely useful for people who want to explore one of Poland’s most beautiful cities without compromising on comfort. This property delivers exactly what it promises.
Exploring Gdansk offers visitors an unforgettable journey through Poland’s maritime heart, from its magnificent Gothic churches to its amber workshops and legendary shipyards where Solidarity was born.

Cena dobra w stosunku do lokalizacji i warunków. Pokoje jak i całe mieszkanie dobrze wyposażone, czysto.
What could be improved: Troszkę brakowało stolika i krzeseł na tarasie.
What could be improved: Jedna z kanap bardzo niewygodna do spania, bardzo wyczuwalna deska. Anna from Poland – 5 July 2022 (9/10)
