I stumbled across this little slice of Gdańsk that I like to call Apartment 450m from the beach when I was wandering the cobblestones of Brzezno. It’s not a fancy hotel, more like a private pad that you can actually feel the sea in the morning. The building is a two‑story brick thing that dates back to the 70s, but the owners have given it a fresh, almost minimalist makeover. The lobby is bright, with a few local paintings and a small coffee machine that smells like roasted beans and sea salt. I remember the first time I checked in – the front desk was a single woman who greeted me with a warm smile and handed me the keys in a tiny, handwritten card that said, “Enjoy your stay, and feel free to ask if you need anything.” It felt more like a friendly chat than a formal transaction.

The apartment itself is a single room with a kitchenette, a comfy bed, and a balcony that opens onto a small courtyard. The view? A 450‑meter stretch of sand, so you can hear the waves even from the balcony. The floor is a light oak that creaks a little when you walk, which is oddly comforting. I’ve spent hours on that balcony, sipping espresso and watching the gulls swoop over the pier. The kitchen is surprisingly functional – a small fridge, a microwave, and a kettle that boils water in no time. I cooked a quick pasta dinner, and the smell of tomato sauce mingled with the salty air, making the whole place feel like home. The bathroom is clean, with a shower that has a good pressure, and a small shelf for toiletries that you can actually see the tiles on – a nice detail that shows the owners care.

Parking is a bit of a hassle. There’s a small street‑level lot next to the building, but it’s usually full during the high season. I had to walk a couple of blocks to the municipal parking on Władysława Broniewskiego, which is a 200‑meter walk, but the cost was worth it. I also found a bike rack on the corner of the street, so if you’re into cycling, that’s a plus. The noise level is pretty decent – the main street is busy with buses and scooters, but the building is sound‑proofed enough that you can’t hear the traffic at night. The only thing that rattled me a bit was the occasional night owl who plays guitar in the neighboring flat, but honestly, it’s a small price to pay for the location.

I love how the hotel feels like a local’s choice. The staff knows the best spots to grab pierogi – there’s a little stall on the corner of 5G/15 that serves the best pierogi in town, and the owner will give you a free dessert if you ask nicely. The hotel is a short walk from the old harbor, so you can stroll to the Gdańsk Crane and then hop back to the beach. The beach itself is clean, with a mix of families and joggers. In the summer, the sand gets crowded, but the early mornings are quiet, and the sea is a perfect blue. The hotel’s only critique is that the Wi‑Fi is a bit spotty – you can get a decent connection in the living area, but the bedroom’s signal drops when the router is on the other side of the building. Still, for a 4‑star place in a small coastal town, it’s a solid choice, and I’ll definitely come back next year.   Bardzo ładne mieszkanie. Rolety w mieszkaniu są co mnie bardzo interesowało 🙂 Świetna lokalizacja. Kuchnia wyposażona we wszystko co potrzebne. Dla mnie tylko szafki górne za wysoko powieszone ale dzięki temu mąż był ze mną częściej w kuchni;-)

  Mieszkanie bardzo dobrze wyposażone, położone bardzo blisko plaży( polecam spacer skrócona drogą a nie tą którą pokazuje mapa google). Właściciele bardzo mili i pomocni a kontakt z nimi doskonały:) W okolicy znajdują się place zabaw dla dzieci, sklepy spożywcze również znajdują się bardzo blisko. Szczerze polecam i z przyjemnością tam jeszcze wrócimy:)

  Ładnie urządzone mieszkanie bardzo blisko plaży. Wyposażone we wszystko co potrzebne. W zasadzie niczego nie brakowało. No może oprócz cukru. 😉
